以下、本開示の第1実施形態に係る構造体100および接合方法について、図面を参照して説明する。図1は、本実施形態に係る構造体100を示す斜視図である。図2は、図1に示す構造体100のA-A矢視断面図である。図3は、第1複合材10と第2複合材20とをフィラー(接合部材)30を介して接合する前の構造体100を示す部分断面図である。図4は、第1複合材10と第2複合材20とをフィラー30を介して接合した後の構造体100を示す部分断面図である。
次に、本開示の第2実施形態の接合方法について、図面を参照して説明する。本実施形態は、第1実施形態の変形例であり、以下で特に説明する場合を除き、第1実施形態と同様であるものとし、以下での説明を省略する。
以上の説明において、構造体100の第1複合材10および第2複合材20は、長手方向LDに沿った各位置で形状が同一であるものとしたが、他の態様であってもよい。例えば、図15に示す第1変形例の構造体100Bように、長手方向LDの1箇所あるいは複数箇所において、第1複合材10および第2複合材20の双方に段差部(ジョグル部)JGを形成した構造体としてもよい。本変形例の場合、段差部JGの形状に沿った形状となるように、成形型300の長手方向LDの1箇所あるいは複数箇所に段差部JGに対応する形状の段差を設けるものとする。
本開示に係る接合方法は、それぞれ繊維基材と熱可塑性樹脂とを含む第1複合材(10)および第2複合材(10)を接合する接合方法であって、前記第1複合材は、軸線(X)に沿って延びる板状に形成されるとともに第1接合領域(11)と前記第1接合領域に隣接する第1隣接領域(12)とを有し、前記第2複合材は、前記軸線に沿って延びる板状に形成されるとともに第2接合領域(21)と前記第2接合領域に隣接する第2隣接領域(22)とを有し、前記第1接合領域と前記第2接合領域とが対向するように配置した状態で、前記第1隣接領域と前記第2隣接領域との間に前記軸線に沿って延びる隙間(CL)が形成され、繊維基材と熱可塑性樹脂とを含むとともに板状に形成される接合用複合材(200)を切断し、長尺状の複数の接合部材(30)を生成する切断工程(S104)と、前記切断工程で生成された複数の前記接合部材を成形型(300)に設置して加熱し、前記隙間に対応する形状に成形する成形工程(S105)と、前記成形工程により前記隙間に対応する形状に成形された前記接合部材を前記隙間に設置し、前記第1接合領域が前記第2接合領域と接触し、前記第1隣接領域および前記第2隣接領域が前記接合部材と接触した状態とする設置工程(S106)と、前記第1隣接領域および前記第2隣接領域が前記接合部材と接触した状態で、前記第1複合材と前記第2複合材と前記接合部材とを加熱することにより、前記第1接合領域を前記第2接合領域に接合し、前記第1隣接領域および前記第2隣接領域を前記接合部材に接合する加熱工程(S108)と、を備える。

Claims (3)
- それぞれ繊維基材と熱可塑性樹脂とを含む第1複合材および第2複合材を接合する接合方法であって、
前記第1複合材は、軸線に沿って延びる板状に形成されるとともに第1接合領域と前記第1接合領域に隣接する第1隣接領域と前記第1隣接領域に隣接する第1平坦領域とを有し、
前記第2複合材は、前記軸線に沿って延びる板状に形成されるとともに第2接合領域と前記第2接合領域に隣接する第2隣接領域と前記第2隣接領域に隣接する第2平坦領域とを有し、
前記第1接合領域と前記第2接合領域とが対向するように配置した状態で、前記第1隣接領域と前記第2隣接領域との間に前記軸線に沿って延びる隙間が形成され、
繊維基材と熱可塑性樹脂とを含むとともに板状に形成される接合用複合材を切断し、長尺状の複数の接合部材を生成する切断工程と、
前記切断工程で生成された複数の前記接合部材を成形型に設置して加熱し、前記第1隣接領域と前記第2隣接領域と板状に形成される第3複合材とで画定される前記隙間以上の断面積となるように前記接合部材を前記隙間に対応する形状に成形する成形工程と、
前記成形工程により前記隙間に対応する形状に成形された前記接合部材を前記隙間に設置し、前記第1接合領域が前記第2接合領域と接触し、前記第1隣接領域および前記第2隣接領域が前記接合部材と接触し、前記第1平坦領域と前記第2平坦領域と前記接合部材とが前記第3複合材と接触した状態とする設置工程と、
前記第1隣接領域および前記第2隣接領域が前記接合部材と接触した状態で、前記第1複合材と前記第2複合材と前記接合部材とを加熱することにより、前記第1接合領域を前記第2接合領域に接合し、前記第1隣接領域および前記第2隣接領域を前記接合部材に接合し、前記第1平坦領域と前記第2平坦領域と前記接合部材とを前記第3複合材に接合する加熱工程と、を備える接合方法。 - 前記成形工程は、前記第1隣接領域と接合される第1接合面と前記第2隣接領域に接合される第2接合面と前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面とを連結する連結面とを有する三角柱状に前記接合部材を成形し、
前記成形工程は、前記軸線に直交する断面における前記連結面の長さが、前記隙間と対向する前記第3複合材の長さよりも短くなるように前記接合部材を成形する請求項1に記載の接合方法。 - 前記隙間に空隙が発生したかどうかを判定する判定工程を有し、
前記設置工程は、前記空隙が発生したと前記判定工程が判定した場合、前記第1隣接領域と前記接合部材との間、または前記第2隣接領域と前記接合部材との間の少なくともいずれかに、繊維基材と熱可塑性樹脂とを含むシート状の複合材料を設置する請求項1または請求項2に記載の接合方法。
