Description
従って、第1態様によれば、成形及び熱シールによって製造され、充填及びシール後に貯蔵寿命を延ばす目的で、高温での滅菌熱処理、例えば熱媒体としての蒸気、水又は蒸気-水混合物による処理など、例えば高圧での高温蒸気及び/又は水によるレトルト又はオートクレーブ処理などに適合された、パッケージ用包装材料が実現される。包装材料は、被覆板紙材料の層を含み、それは、印刷のための面を形成する印刷可能顔料コーティングが設けられた上面を有する基部板と、顔料コーティング上に適用された印刷インクの装飾図柄とを含む。印刷可能顔料コーティングは、顔料混合物、少なくとも1つのバインダー及びジルコニウム系架橋剤を含み、ここで顔料混合物は、少なくとも40重量%の炭酸カルシウム及び少なくとも10重量%の粘土、例えばカオリン粘土、例えば剥離粘土を含む。プレコーティング層は、基部板の上面と顔料コーティングとの間に設けられてもよい。

パイロットコーティング試験をパイロットコーティング機で行い、使用した被覆されていない基部板は、加熱滅菌用パッケージ向けの上記特徴を有する、液体包装用の市販の被覆されていない板であった。パイロットコーティング機において、基部板を、印刷面/上面において2層、10g/m2(プレコーティング層)+10g/m2(印刷用の上部コーティング層)で顔料被覆し、また、裏面において1層、5~8g/m2で顔料被覆した。様々な顔料コーティング組成物は、顔料混合物、バインダー及び増粘剤/レオロジー調整剤を含んでいた。顔料混合物は、コーティング組成物の乾燥重量の85~87%の量であった。バインダーは、コーティング組成物の乾燥重量の12~14%の量であった。パイロット試験の幾つかでは、上面/印刷面に塗布されたコーティング組成物は、添加剤をさらに含んでいた。ある事例では、板の上面/印刷面に塗布された2つの顔料コーティング層の上部層のみが添加剤を含んでいた。添加する場合、添加剤はコーティング組成物の乾燥重量の0.8~0.9%の量であった。
フルスケール試験を、上記特性に従って、1つの漂白された上層及び1つの未漂白の底層を有する2層抄紙機で行った。
上記の顔料被覆板紙の試料の黄変を、試料を150℃のオーブンで1時間熱処理した後、SS-ISO5631-2に従って光学特性b*を測定することにより分析した。6未満のb*値を許容可能であると考慮した。また試料を印刷し、積層及びレトルト前の印刷品質を目視検査によって評価した。積層前の印刷品質を、ドットゲイン、色濃度などのパラメータを含むすべての包装材料製造における印刷品質評価のためのTetra Pak世界標準基準に従って決定した。

Claims (19)
- パッケージ及びその内容物の共滅菌に適合した、レトルトパッケージ用包装材料であって、
前記包装材料は、プラスチックの第1の最外層、板紙材料、前記板紙材料上に被覆された顔料コーティング、及びプラスチックの第2の最外層を含み、
前記顔料コーティングは、顔料混合物、少なくとも1つのバインダー及びジルコニウム系架橋剤を含み、前記顔料混合物は、少なくとも40重量%の炭酸カルシウム及び少なくとも10重量%の粘土を含み、
前記顔料コーティング上に、印刷インクの装飾図柄が印刷されてなる、包装材料。 - 前記顔料コーティングの被覆重量は、5~30g/m2、又は8~30m2、例えば10~30m2、又は17~23g/m2である、請求項1に記載の包装材料。
- 前記顔料混合物は、前記顔料コーティングの乾燥重量の75~95%、又は80~88%の量である、請求項1又は2に記載の包装材料。
- 前記少なくとも1つのバインダーは、前記顔料コーティングの乾燥重量の10~20%、又は12~18%の量である、請求項1~3の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。

- 前記顔料コーティングは、少なくとも1つのレオロジー調整剤をさらに含む、請求項1~6の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。
- 前記少なくとも1つのレオロジー調整剤は、前記顔料コーティングの乾燥重量の0.05~2.0%、又は0.1~1.0%の量である、請求項7に記載の包装材料。
- 前記少なくとも1つのレオロジー調整剤は、CMC又はアルカリ膨潤性アクリレートポリマーである、請求項7又は8に記載の包装材料。
- 前記板紙材料は、アルキルケテンダイマー(AKD)、アルケニルコハク酸無水物(ASA)又はそれらの組み合わせによる処理から疎水化される、請求項1~9の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。
- 前記顔料混合物は、少なくとも50重量%の炭酸カルシウム及び少なくとも15重量%の粘土、又はカオリン粘土を含む、請求項1~10の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。
- 前記少なくとも1つのバインダーは、アクリルコポリマー、スチレン-ブタジエンコポリマー、メチルメタクリレート-ブタジエンコポリマー、又はスチレン/アクリレートコポリマーである、請求項1~11の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。
- 前記顔料混合物は少なくとも60重量%の炭酸カルシウムを含み、前記少なくとも1つのバインダーはアクリルコポリマーであり前記顔料コーティングの乾燥重量の12~18%の量であり、前記顔料コーティングはアクリル系レオロジー調整剤を含む、請求項1~12の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。
- 前記少なくとも1つのバインダーは、スチレン/アクリレートコポリマーである、請求項1~13の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。
- 前記ジルコニウム系架橋剤は、炭酸ジルコニウムアンモニウム又は炭酸ジルコニウムカリウムである、請求項1~14の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。
- ガスバリアとして機能する少なくとも1つの層、又はアルミニウム箔をさらに含む、請求項1~15の何れか1項に記載の包装材料。
- 請求項1~16の何れか1項に記載の包装材料から製造される、レトルトパッケージ。
- 請求項1~16の何れか1項に記載の包装材料の製造方法であって、板紙材料の上面に顔料コーティング組成物を塗布するステップであって、前記顔料コーティング組成物は、顔料混合物、少なくとも1つのバインダー及びジルコニウム系架橋剤を含み、前記顔料混合物は、少なくとも40重量%の炭酸カルシウム及び少なくとも10重量%の粘土を含む、ステップと、プラスチックの最外層を塗布するステップと、印刷技術により前記顔料コーティング上に装飾図柄を設けるステップと、を含む、方法。
- 前記板紙材料がガスバリア層として機能する層に積層される更なるステップを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
