図1は、実施の形態の入力装置100を示す図である。図2は、図1のA-A矢視断面を示す図である。以下では、XYZ座標系を用いて説明する。ここでは説明の便宜上、Z方向が上下方向に相当するものとして説明する。ただし、Z方向は普遍的な上下方向を示すものではない。

Claims (5)
- 上面側の操作面と、前記操作面の反対面と、前記操作面の周囲の下側に設けられる側面と、前記側面の下側に設けられる開口部から前記反対面に向けて広がる内部空間とを有する筐体と、
前記内部空間内において前記反対面に沿って配置される基板と、
前記基板の上面側に配置される第1電極パターンで構成される上面操作検出部であって、前記操作面への操作体の近接又は接触による前記操作体との容量結合によって発生する前記第1電極パターンの静電容量の変化を検出する上面操作検出部と、
前記基板の上面操作検出部よりも下側の前記側面側に配置され、前記操作体によって前記筐体の前記側面に行われる側面操作に応じて発生する静電容量の変化を検出する側面操作検出部と、
前記上面操作検出部及び前記側面操作検出部の検出結果に基づく操作信号を出力する制御部と
を含み、
前記側面操作検出部は、前記上面操作検出部を構成する前記第1電極パターンに接続されて一体化されている、入力装置。 - 上面側の操作面と、前記操作面の反対面と、前記操作面の周囲の下側に設けられる側面と、前記側面の下側に設けられる開口部から前記反対面に向けて広がる内部空間とを有する筐体と、
前記内部空間内において前記反対面に沿って配置される基板と、
前記基板の上面側に配置される第1電極パターンで構成される上面操作検出部であって、前記操作面への操作体の近接又は接触による前記操作体との容量結合によって発生する前記第1電極パターンの静電容量の変化を検出する上面操作検出部と、
前記基板の上面操作検出部よりも下側の前記側面側に配置され、前記操作体によって前記筐体の前記側面に行われる側面操作に応じて発生する静電容量の変化を検出する側面操作検出部と、
前記上面操作検出部及び前記側面操作検出部の検出結果に基づく操作信号を出力する制御部と
を含み、
前記側面操作検出部は、前記基板の内層又は下面層に配置される第2電極パターンで構成され、前記操作体の近接又は接触による前記操作体との静電容量の変化を検出する、入力装置。 - 前記第1電極パターンはそれぞれ前記操作体と静電容量結合を行う複数の電極で構成され、前記第2電極パターンはそれぞれ前記操作体と静電容量結合を行う複数の電極で構成され、前記操作面に対する前記操作体による連続的な操作時に発生する前記第1電極パターンの複数の電極の静電容量の変化と、前記側面に対する前記操作体による連続的な操作時に発生する前記第2電極パターンの複数の電極の静電容量の変化とは異なる推移パターンを有し、前記制御部は前記推移パターンの違いに基づいて前記操作面への操作体の近接又は接触と、前記側面操作とを判別する、請求項2記載の入力装置。
- 前記筐体は、前記操作面の周囲に沿った方向への回転操作が可能であり、
前記側面操作検出部は、前記側面操作として前記回転操作を検出可能である、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項記載の入力装置。 - 上面側の操作面と、前記操作面の反対面と、前記操作面の周囲の下側に設けられる側面と、前記側面の下側に設けられる開口部から前記反対面に向けて広がる内部空間とを有する筐体と、
前記内部空間内において前記反対面に沿って配置される基板と、
前記基板の上面側に配置される第1電極パターンで構成される上面操作検出部であって、前記操作面への操作体の近接又は接触による前記操作体との容量結合によって発生する前記第1電極パターンの静電容量の変化を検出する上面操作検出部と、
前記基板の上面操作検出部よりも下側の前記側面側に配置され、前記操作体によって前記筐体の前記側面に行われる側面操作に応じて発生する静電容量の変化を検出する側面操作検出部と、
前記上面操作検出部及び前記側面操作検出部の検出結果に基づく操作信号を出力する制御部と
を含み、
前記筐体は、前記操作面の周囲に沿った方向への回転操作が可能であり、
前記側面操作検出部は、前記側面操作として前記回転操作を検出可能である、入力装置。
