この出願は、2017年1月17日に出願された“HYDROGEN FUEL CELL REFUELER SYSTEM AND METHODS”という表題の米国仮出願第62/447,400号、2017年1月18日に出願された“HYDROGEN FUEL CELL REFUELER SYSTEM AND METHODS”という表題の米国仮出願第62/447、874号、2017年2月6日に出願された“HYDROGEN FUEL CELL REFUELER SYSTEM AND METHODS”という表題の米国仮出願第62/455,308号、及び2017年4月24日に出願された“HYDROGEN DISPENSING METHODS AND APPARATUS”という表題の米国仮出願第62/489,219号のそれぞれについて米国特許法第119条(e)に基づく利益を主張するものであり、これらの文献それぞれは、その全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
Claims (33)
- スタンドアロン型の水素ガス分配機器であって、当該水素ガス分配機器は、
水を受け取り、該水を使用して水素ガスを生成するように構成される電解槽と、
前記水素ガスを第1の圧力レベルまで貯蔵するように構成される貯蔵装置と、
前記水素ガスを前記第1の圧力レベルよりも高い第2の圧力レベルまで分配するように構成されるディスペンサと、
前記電解槽、前記貯蔵装置、及び前記ディスペンサに流体的に結合された圧縮機であって、該圧縮機は、貯蔵するために前記電解槽からの前記水素ガスを前記第1の圧力レベルまで圧縮するように構成され、且つ前記ディスペンサを介して分配するために前記貯蔵装置からの前記水素ガスを前記第2の圧力レベルまで圧縮するように構成される、圧縮機と、
車両が前記ディスペンサを介して当該水素ガス分配機器に結合されたときに、前記貯蔵装置の貯蔵圧力レベルを検出するように構成される制御装置と、を有しており、
該制御装置は、
前記貯蔵圧力レベルが閾値圧力レベルよりも大きい場合に、水素ガスを前記貯蔵装置から前記ディスペンサを介して前記車両の燃料タンクに流し、
前記貯蔵圧力レベルが前記閾値圧力レベル未満である場合に、前記ディスペンサを介して前記車両の前記燃料タンクに分配する前に、前記貯蔵装置からの水素ガスを前記圧縮機によって圧縮する、ようにさらに構成される、
水素ガス分配機器。 - 前記制御装置は、前記ディスペンサを介して当該水素ガス分配機器に結合された前記車両の前記燃料タンクの車両の圧力レベルを検出するように構成され、閾値圧力レベルは前記車両の圧力レベルに関連する、請求項1に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 閾値圧力レベルは前記燃料タンクの略前記車両の圧力レベルである、請求項1又は2に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 前記第1の圧力レベルは、約5,000ポンド/平方インチ(PSI)以上~約8,000PSI以下であり、前記第2の圧力レベルは、約8,000PSI以上~約12,000PSI以下である、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 前記第1の圧力レベルは約6,000PSIであり、前記第2の圧力レベルは約10,000PSIである、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 前記貯蔵装置は複数の貯蔵タンクを含む、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 前記貯蔵装置を少なくとも部分的に囲む難燃性材料をさらに含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 前記貯蔵装置は、約10キログラム以下の水素ガスを貯蔵するように構成される、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 前記電解槽と前記圧縮機との間に流体的に結合された水素ガス精製器をさらに有しており、該水素ガス精製器は、前記電解槽によって生成された前記水素ガスから少なくとも一部の酸素及び/又は少なくとも一部の水を除去するように構成される、請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 少なくとも前記貯蔵装置を収容し、且つ通気口を含むエンクロージャと、
該エンクロージャ内に配置され、且つ前記エンクロージャに換気を提供するように構成される空気循環装置と、をさらに有する、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - 空気循環装置は、エンクロージャの内部から通気口を通して外部環境に空気を押し出すように構成された少なくとも1つのファンを含む、請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- エンクロージャ内に配置され、且つ該エンクロージャ内の水素ガスを検出するように構成される水素ガスセンサと、
該水素ガスセンサに通信可能に結合される回路であって、前記水素ガスセンサによって検出された水素ガス濃度が閾値を超えた場合に、当該水素ガス分配機器の少なくとも1つの構成要素をシャットダウンするように構成される回路と、をさらに有する、請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - エンクロージャ内に配置され、且つ通気口を通して空気を押し出すことによって生じる空気圧の変化を測定するように構成される圧力センサと、
空気圧センサに通信可能に結合される回路であって、前記空気圧センサによって検出された空気圧レベルが空気循環に伴う問題を示した場合に、当該水素ガス分配機器の少なくとも1つの構成要素をシャットダウンするように構成される回路と、をさらに有する、請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - エンクロージャ内に配置され、且つ該エンクロージャ内の空気の温度を測定するように構成される温度センサと、
該温度センサに通信可能に結合される回路であって、前記温度センサによって検出された温度レベルが閾値を超えた場合に、当該水素ガス分配機器の少なくとも1つの構成要素をシャットダウンするように構成される回路と、をさらに有する、請求項1乃至13のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - エンクロージャ内に配置されたヒータと、
前記エンクロージャ内に配置され、且つ該エンクロージャ内の空気の温度を測定するように構成される温度センサと、
該温度センサ及び前記ヒータに通信可能に結合される回路であって、前記温度センサによって検出された温度レベルに基づいて前記ヒータの動作を制御するように構成される回路と、をさらに有する、請求項1乃至14のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - エンクロージャは、
少なくとも前記貯蔵装置が内部に配置された第1の区画と、
少なくとも電解槽が内部に配置された第2の区画と、
前記第1の区画と前記第2の区画との間に配置された難燃性材料と、を含む、請求項1乃至15のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - 当該水素ガス分配機器の電力供給要素及び電力遮断要素を制御するための安全システムをさらに有しており、該安全システムは、
空気循環装置と、
エンクロージャ内に配置され、且つ前記空気循環装置の正しい動作を確認するために空気圧の変化を測定するように構成される圧力センサと、
前記エンクロージャ内に配置され、且つ該エンクロージャ内の水素ガスを検出するように構成される水素ガスセンサと、
前記エンクロージャ内に配置され、且つ該エンクロージャ内の空気の温度を測定するように構成される温度センサと、
前記圧力センサ、前記水素ガスセンサ、及び前記温度センサに結合され、且つ当該水素ガス分配機器の構成要素に電力を供給するように構成される安全制御装置と、を含んでおり、
該安全制御装置は、少なくとも部分的には、前記圧力センサ、前記水素ガスセンサ、及び前記温度センサから受信した指標に基づいて、当該水素ガス分配機器の構成要素に電力供給及び電力遮断を行うように構成される、請求項1乃至16のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - 当該水素ガス分配機器の電源投入時に、安全制御装置は、空気循環装置、圧力センサ、水素ガスセンサ、及び温度センサと係合し、且つ安全システムが安全な動作を確認した場合にのみ、当該水素ガス分配機器の他の構成要素に作動電力を供給する、請求項1乃至17のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 安全制御装置は、圧力センサ、水素ガスセンサ、及び/又は温度センサのいずれかが安全でない動作状態を示す場合に、当該水素ガス分配機器の電源を切るように構成される、請求項1乃至18のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 当該水素ガス分配機器は、前記貯蔵装置の充填レベルの視覚的指標を提供するように構成される、請求項1乃至19のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 制御信号に基づいて、複数の色のうちの選択された色で光を照らすように構成される照明システムと、
該照明システムに結合され、且つ前記貯蔵装置の充填レベルに基づいて前記制御信号を生成するように構成される回路と、をさらに有する、請求項1乃至20のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - 電源から入力電力を受け取るように構成される電力入力ポートと、
電気自動車を充電するために、前記電力入力ポートで受け取った前記入力電力から得られた出力電力を送るように構成される電力出力ポートと、をさらに有する、請求項1乃至21のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。 - 電力入力ポートは、電源から単相幹線電力を受け取るように構成される、請求項1乃至22のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 電力出力ポートは、電気自動車のレベル1充電に適した出力電力を送るように構成される、請求項1乃至23のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 電力入力ポートは、約120Vで単相幹線電力を受け取るように構成され、電力出力ポートは、電気自動車にレベル1充電を供給するために約120Vで電力を送るように構成される、請求項1乃至24のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 電力出力ポートは、電気自動車のレベル2充電に適した出力電力を送るように構成される、請求項1乃至25のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 電力入力ポートは、約240Vで単相幹線電力を受け取るように構成され、電力出力ポートは、電気自動車にレベル2充電を供給するために約240Vで電力を送るように構成される、請求項1乃至26のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 入力電力を出力電力に変換するように構成される電力変換回路をさらに有する、請求項1乃至27のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 電力入力ポートは、電源から三相電力を受け取るように構成され、電力変換回路は、前記三相電力を単相電力に変換するように構成される、請求項1乃至28のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 電力変換回路は、三相電力を、電気自動車のレベル1充電に適した単相電力に変換するように構成される、請求項1乃至29のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 電力変換回路は、三相電力を、電気自動車のレベル2充電に適した単相電力に変換するように構成される、請求項1乃至30のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 入力電力は交流(AC)であり、電力変換回路は、前記AC入力電力を直流(DC)電力に変換するように構成される、請求項1乃至31のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
- 電力変換回路は、AC入力電力を、電気自動車の高速DC充電に適したDC出力電力に変換するように構成される、請求項1乃至32のいずれか一項に記載の水素ガス分配機器。
