少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースは、例えば、(a)硬材および/または軟材のような木質原材料、(b)農作物残さ、草、藁、樹皮、穎花、野菜、綿、トウモロコシ、小麦、オート麦、ライ麦、大麦、米、亜麻、大麻、マニラ麻、サイザル麻、ケナフ、ジュート、ラミー、バガス、竹、アシ、藻類、菌類、および/またはこれらの組み合わせのような植物系原材料、および/または(c)例えば、それらに限定はされないが、新聞紙および/または他の紙製品からのリサイクル繊維を含む、それらに限定はされないが、1または複数のセルロース含有原材料から形成されてよい。
一実施形態において、ミクロ開繊化セルロースは、誘導体化されたミクロ開繊化セルロースであってよく、誘導体化されたミクロ開繊化セルロースのミクロ開繊化セルロース繊維は、アニオン電荷および/またはカチオン電荷を有する。誘導体化されたミクロ開繊化セルロースは、(a)ミクロ開繊化セルロースを誘導体化することおよび/または(b)既に誘導体化されたセルロースを開繊化することにより生成されてよい。別の実施形態において、1または複数のセルロース含有原材料のセルロースは、実質的に同時に開繊化および誘導体化され得る。
分岐または架橋共重合体は、少なくとも1つの非イオン性単量体、少なくとも1つのイオン性単量体および少なくとも1つの分岐または架橋剤の1または複数の共重合体であってよい。さらに、1または複数のイオン性単量体は、アニオン性単量体および/またはカチオン性単量体のうちの少なくとも1つであってよい。同じ分岐または架橋共重合体内でのアニオン性単量体とカチオン性単量体の両方の使用は、両性の材料をもたらす。分岐または架橋共重合体は、典型的に、アニオン性、カチオン性および/または非イオン性であり得るエチレン性不飽和単量体の重合により形成される。当業者に知られている他の重合方法が使用され得るが、逆エマルション重合は、典型的に、これらの材料を調製するべく使用される。

パラフィン油の油相(156.2gのエクソール(Exxsol)(登録商標)D80油、エクソン社、テキサス州、ヒューストンから入手可能)および乳化界面活性剤(5gのアトラス(Atlas)(登録商標)G‐946および、10gのハイパーマ(Hypermer)(登録商標)B246SF、Croda社、デラウェア州、ニューカッスル)が、上部に機械攪拌機、温度計、窒素散布管および凝縮器が備え付けられた適切な反応フラスコに充填された。次に油相の温度が40℃に調整された。
ここに開示されるおよび/または特許請求される1または複数の発明の概念の性能を評価するべく、数回の排水テストが、パルプスラリに添加される少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースおよび少なくとも1つの会合性重合体を有するパルプスラリの向上した排水性能を示すために実行された。
追加的に、ここに開示されるおよび/または特許請求される1または複数の発明の概念の性能をさらに評価するべく、数回の排水テストが、パルプスラリに添加される少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースと少なくとも1つの分岐または架橋共重合体とを有するパルプスラリの向上した排水性能を示すために実行された。
Claims (7)
- (a)少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースと(b)少なくとも1つの会合性重合体とをパルプスラリに添加する段階を備える、パルプスラリの排水性能を高めるための方法であって、
前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースと前記少なくとも1つの会合性重合体は、前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロース対前記少なくとも1つの会合性重合体が、2:1から10:1までの重量比で添加され、
前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースおよび前記少なくとも1つの会合性重合体の活性固形物が、前記パルプスラリの乾燥パルプの重量に基づいて、0.01重量%から1重量%の範囲で前記パルプスラリ中に存在し、
前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースは、カチオン電荷を有する誘導体化されたミクロ開繊化セルロースであり、任意の他のカチオン性添加剤とは別々に添加される、
方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースと前記少なくとも1つの会合性重合体とを前記パルプスラリに添加する段階より前に、前記パルプスラリが抄紙機のウエットエンドに存在する、請求項1に記載の方法。

- 前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースと前記少なくとも1つの会合性重合体の活性固形物が、前記パルプスラリの乾燥パルプの重量に基づいて、0.01wt%から0.15wt%までの範囲で前記パルプスラリに存在する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- (a)セルロースパルプ、(b)少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースと(c)少なくとも1つの会合性重合体とを備える、紙製品であって、
前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースと前記少なくとも1つの会合性重合体は、前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロース対前記少なくとも1つの会合性重合体が、2:1から10:1までの重量比であり、
前記少なくとも1つのミクロ開繊化セルロースおよび前記少なくとも1つの会合性重合体の活性固形物が、前記セルロースパルプの重量に基づいて、0.01重量%から1重量%の範囲で存在し、
