Description
(1)複数ビットで構成されるグレースケールデータを受信して、該グレースケールデータの階調値に応じて液体を吐出する駆動電圧波形をアクチュエータに与える吐出波形生成部と、
液体を吐出することなく前記アクチュエータの電圧を第1の電圧に遷移させるSleep波形生成部と、
液体を吐出することなく前記アクチュエータの電圧を前記第1の電圧より大きい第2の電圧に遷移させるWake波形生成部と、を備える。
(2)前記第1の電圧は、アクチュエータに経時変化を生じさせない程度に低い電圧である。
(3)前記第2の電圧は、液体を吐出する駆動電圧波形の初期電圧及び/又は終了電圧と同じ電圧である。
(4)前記グレースケールデータを構成する複数ビットの一部に、前記Sleep波形生成部を起動するための第1のコマンドが割り当てられており、該第1のコマンドを抽出すると前記アクチュエータにSleep波形を与える。
(5)前記グレースケールデータを構成する複数ビットの一部に、前記Wake波形生成部を起動するための第2のコマンドが割り当てられており、該第2のコマンドを抽出すると前記アクチュエータにWake波形を与える。
(6)前記グレースケールデータを構成する複数ビットの一部に、前記アクチュエータに与える電圧を前記第1の電圧に保持する第3のコマンドが割り当てられており、該第3のコマンドを抽出すると前記アクチュエータに与える電圧を前記第1の電圧に保持する。
他の実施形態の印刷制御装置は、連続する液体の非吐出を検出すると、アクチュエータにSleep波形を与えるための第1のコマンドをグレースケールデータを構成する複数ビットの一部に割り当ててアクチュエータ駆動回路に送り、液体の吐出が再開することを検出すると、吐出の再開に先立って前記アクチュエータにWake波形を与えるための第2のコマンドを前記グレースケールデータを構成する複数ビットの一部に割り当てて前記アクチュエータ駆動回路に送る。
液体を吐出するノズルとアクチュエータを備える液体吐出部と、
前記(1)~(6)のいずれかに記載のアクチュエータ駆動回路と、
前記液体吐出部のノズルに対応するグレースケールデータを記憶する画像メモリを備え、該画像メモリのデータから連続する非吐出を検出すると前記第1のコマンドを前記アクチュエータ駆動回路に送り、吐出が再開することを検出すると吐出の再開に先立って前記第2のコマンドを前記アクチュエータ駆動回路に送る制御部と、を備える。

Claims (4)
- 複数ビットで構成されるグレースケールデータを受信して、該グレースケールデータの階調値に応じて液体を吐出する駆動電圧波形をアクチュエータに与える吐出波形生成部と、
液体を吐出することなく前記アクチュエータの電圧を第1の電圧に遷移させるSleep波形生成部と、
液体を吐出することなく前記アクチュエータの電圧を前記第1の電圧より大きい第2の電圧に遷移させるWake波形生成部と、を備え、
前記グレースケールデータを構成する複数ビットの一部に、前記Sleep波形生成部を起動するための第1のコマンドが割り当てられ、該第1のコマンドを抽出すると前記アクチュエータにSleep波形を与えることを特徴とする液体吐出装置のアクチュエータ駆動回路。 - 複数ビットで構成されるグレースケールデータを受信して、該グレースケールデータの階調値に応じて液体を吐出する駆動電圧波形をアクチュエータに与える吐出波形生成部と、
液体を吐出することなく前記アクチュエータの電圧を第1の電圧に遷移させるSleep波形生成部と、
液体を吐出することなく前記アクチュエータの電圧を前記第1の電圧より大きい第2の電圧に遷移させるWake波形生成部と、を備え、
前記グレースケールデータを構成する複数ビットの一部に、前記Wake波形生成部を起動するための第2のコマンドが割り当てられ、該第2のコマンドを抽出すると前記アクチュエータにWake波形を与えることを特徴とする液体吐出装置のアクチュエータ駆動回路。 - 前記グレースケールデータを構成する複数ビットの一部に、前記アクチュエータに与える電圧を前記第1の電圧に保持する第3のコマンドが割り当てられ、該第3のコマンドを抽出すると前記アクチュエータに与える電圧を前記第1の電圧に保持することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の液体吐出装置のアクチュエータ駆動回路。
- 前記請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のアクチュエータ駆動回路の制御装置であって、
連続する液体の非吐出を検出すると、前記アクチュエータにSleep波形を与えるための第1のコマンドを前記グレースケールデータの複数ビットの一部に割り当てて前記アクチュエータ駆動回路に送り、液体の吐出が再開することを検出すると、吐出の再開に先立って前記アクチュエータにWake波形を与えるための第2のコマンドを前記グレースケールデータの複数ビットの一部に割り当てて前記アクチュエータ駆動回路に送ることを特徴とするアクチュエータ駆動回路の制御装置。
