Description
1% PdドープH-チャバザイト(SAR=22):試料を初期湿式含浸により調製した。硝酸Pd(~8%)溶液を秤量し、ゼオライト上に所望の重量%の金属を得た。次いで、ゼオライトの細孔充填率がおよそ60~70%になるまで硝酸Pd溶液を水で希釈した。ピペットを使用して溶液をゼオライト粉末(Tosoh Corporationから入手した)に加え、数滴加える毎に溶液を手作業で撹拌し、スパチュラを使用して「湿った塊」を砕き、試料をできるだけ均質に保った。次いで、試料を105℃(2時間)で乾燥し、次いで、ランプ速度10℃/minで500℃の温度で2時間焼成した。
二軸スクリュー押出機(Dr Collin)を使用してPdドープゼオライト粒子を選択されたポリマーと配合した。二軸スクリュー配合速度は、120~180℃の間の設定温度で20rpmであった。次いで、配合した材料をマスターバッチにペレット化した。
異なる骨格タイプを有するPdドープゼオライト粒子を組み込んだエチル-酢酸ビニルフィルムの調製
二軸スクリュー押出機(Dr Collin)を使用して上述の異なる骨格タイプを有するPdドープゼオライト粒子とエチレン-酢酸ビニル(EVA FL00209)を130℃の温度で配合した。パラジウムドープゼオライトをおよそ1.5重量%含むフィルムが得られるようにゼオライト添加速度およびポリマー添加速度を調節した。次いで、以下の条件を使用して、配合した混合物をインフレーションフィルムラインを通じて押し出し、多層構造体(20μm)を生成した:
内層(EVA):
押出速度:25rpm
供給ゾーンからダイアダプターまでの温度プロファイル(℃):30、130、130、130、130
中層(EVA):
押出速度:25rpm

ゼオライト添加量=正味の灰分/正味のフィルム×100%
Pd-チャバザイト-1.57重量%;
Pd-ZSM-5-1.45重量%;
Pd-ベータ-1.89重量%;
一連の実験を実施して様々なパラジウムドープゼオライトのエチレン除去性能を評価し、ポリマーフィルムへの組込み後と粉末としてのそれらの性能を対比して比較した。
ゼオライト約0.2gを含むフィルムを調製し、シールした1990mlジャー内に置いた。エチレンガスをジャーに注入し、500ppmにした。ジャー内の内部雰囲気を一定の間隔で分析した。エチレンの濃度をGC分析により決定した。ジャー内の温度および湿度を試験中、5℃およびRH90~95%に維持した。
図1は、エチレン吸着試験の結果を示す。1% Pd-チャバザイト(SAR 22)は、試験した他の骨格タイプと比較して高い除去速度で、かつ特に有利なプロファイルで、調査の期間にわたって継続的にエチレンを除去することが明らかになった。
Pdドープチャバザイト粒子を組み込んだ多層ポリマーフィルムおよびPdドープチャバザイト粉末のエチレン除去能の比較
0.2gの1% Pd-チャバザイト粉末および0.199gの1% Pd-チャバザイト粉末が組み込まれたEVA多層フィルムを実施例1に記載の通り調製した。食品貯蔵条件を模倣できる湿潤低温条件(5℃およびRH90~95%)のエチレン取込み試験において両方のエチレン除去性能を評価した。多層フィルムのエチレン除去性能を図2に示した。フィルムがゼオライト粉末の活性をおよそ約80%保持することが明らかになった。
LDPEポリマーフィルムの調製および試験
二軸スクリュー押出機(Dr Collin)を使用して低密度ポリエチレン(Lupolen 3020H)を1% Pdドープチャバザイト粒子と配合し、160℃の温度で上述のマスターバッチを生成した。パラジウムドープゼオライトをおよそ2重量%含むフィルムが得られるようにゼオライト添加速度およびポリマー添加速度を調節した。次いで、以下の条件を使用して、配合した混合物をインフレーションフィルムラインを通じて押し出し、多層構造体(20μm)を生成した:
内層(LDPE):

一連の実験を実施して様々なパラジウムドープゼオライトのエチレン除去性能を評価し、ポリマーフィルムへの組込み後と粉末としてのそれらの性能を対比して比較した。

LDPE多層フィルムのエチレン除去性能を図3に示した。フィルムがゼオライト粉末の活性をおよそ約60~70%保持することが明らかになった。
Pdドープチャバザイト粒子を組み込んだポリマー性コーティングを含むポリマーフィルムの調製および試験
1%パラジウムドープチャバザイト粒子(10重量%)の撹拌懸濁液にポリビニルピロリドン(1重量%)を添加することによりインクを調製した。インクをポリアミドPA6フィルム(Xtend)に吹き付けた。次いで、ホットプレート(100℃)を使用してフィルムを10分間乾燥した。基材のコーティングは、150mm×150mmのフィルムあたり0.25gであった。粒子サイズ(D50)は6.4μmであった。
Claims (15)
- 揮発性有機化合物の吸着のための包装材料であって、包装材料の表面にコーティングを含み、コーティングがパラジウムドープゼオライトの粒子とポリマー性バインダーとを含み、ゼオライトがCHA骨格タイプを有する、包装材料。
- ポリマーフィルムを含み、ポリマーフィルムが、エチレン酢酸ビニルフィルム、低密度ポリエチレンフィルム、高密度ポリプロピレンフィルム、ポリプロピレンフィルムまたは高耐衝撃性ポリスチレンフィルムから選択される、請求項1に記載の包装材料。
- ゼオライトが、ドープゼオライトの全重量に基づいて0.2~2重量%パラジウムを含む、請求項1または2に記載の包装材料。
- ゼオライトが100:1以下のシリカ対アルミナモル比(SAR)を有する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の包装材料。
- 単一のポリマーフィルム層を含み、ポリマーフィルム層がポリマーフィルム層の1つの表面に塗布されたコーティングを有する、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の包装材料。
- 単一のポリマーフィルム層を含み、単一のポリマーフィルム層がポリマーフィルム層の両表面に塗布されたコーティングを有する、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の包装材料。
- ゼオライトが水素型である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の包装材料。
- 包装材料が、ポリマーフィルム、容器用蓋、または包装インサートから選択される、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の包装材料。
- 包装材料が、瓶の蓋、クラムシェルボックスの蓋、ストリップまたはパッドから選択される、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の包装材料。
- 揮発性有機化合物の吸着のためのパラジウムドープゼオライトの使用であって、ゼオライトが、CHA骨格タイプを有し、かつ包装材料の表面のコーティングに組み込まれており、コーティングが、ポリマー性バインダーとパラジウムドープゼオライトの粒子とを含む、使用。
- 揮発性有機化合物が有機物に由来する、請求項10に記載の使用。
- 揮発性有機化合物がエチレンである、請求項10または11に記載の使用。
- パラジウムドープゼオライト粒子とポリマー性バインダーとを含む、包装材料に塗布するためのインクであって、ゼオライトがCHA骨格タイプを有する、インク。
- 水中に、水溶性バインダーと、CHA骨格タイプを有するパラジウムドープゼオライトの粒子とを含む、請求項13に記載のインク。
- パラジウムドープゼオライト対水溶性バインダーの重量比が、3:1~19:1である、請求項13または14に記載のインク。
