Description
図3は、導光板200の全体構成を示す概略図である。導光板200は、入射カプラー201、アイボックス拡大部202、出射カプラー203を含んで構成され、これらはガラスまたはプラスティックなどの合成樹脂製の基板に収納され、厚みはおよそ1~2mm程度である。映像投影部103から出射した光線群は、前述のようにRGB光に対応する広い波長範囲と、水平方向60度、垂直方向30度のFoVに対応する広い角度範囲を有しており、この光線群は、入射カプラー201に入射する。図3では、光線群内の中心光線350について導光板200内の経路を示している。この中心光線350は、表示される映像の略中心のピクセルに対応し、実際には数mm径の有限の太さを持った光束である。
波長使用率は、最大多重記録数Mmaxを用いて、下記式(12)
Claims (3)
- 多重記録したホログラムにより入射光を回折する光回折部を有する導光板であって、
前記光回折部は、少なくとも2つの空間的に分割された第1の領域と第2の領域を有し、
前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域は、ある平行光線を前記光回折部に入射したときに前記第1の領域で回折する波長と、前記第1の領域を透過した光が前記第2の領域に入射し該第2の領域で回折する波長が異なるように構成されており、
前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域によって回折される波長が、波長選択性の半値幅以上ずれており、
前記光回折部は、前記導光板の内部を伝搬する光を前記導光板の外に出射する光に変換する出射カプラーとして用いられ、
前記導光板の内部を伝搬する光線を複製して前記出射カプラーに出射するアイボックス拡大部を備えることを特徴とする導光板。 - 請求項1に記載の導光板において、
前記アイボックス拡大部が、ミラー面とビームスプリッター面を含む構成であることを特徴とする導光板。 - 導光板を有する映像表示装置であって、
前記導光板は、多重記録したホログラムにより入射光を回折する光回折部を有し、
前記光回折部は、少なくとも2つの空間的に分割された第1の領域と第2の領域を有し、
前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域は、ある平行光線を前記光回折部に入射したときに前記第1の領域で回折する波長と、前記第1の領域を透過した光が前記第2の領域に入射し該第2の領域で回折する波長が異なるように構成されており、
表示する映像の画質を補正する画質補正部を備え、
前記画質補正部は、前記導光板の有する前記光回折部により生じる映像の色ムラや輝度ムラ、色ずれを均一化することを特徴とする映像表示装置。
