Description
本発明は、概して、骨格系の隣接する骨構造の安定化および/または固定に関し、より具体的には、ヒトの仙腸関節を安定化および/または固定するための低侵襲的なシステムに関する。
背痛は、脊柱の仙腸(「SI」)関節等の身体のある骨格関節の安定化または癒合を介して減少または排除され得る。図1Aを参照すると、SI関節(6)は、骨盤の上骨である腸骨(4)と、脊柱の基底部である仙骨(2)との関節運動部に位置する。仙腸関節(6)は、限定された可動範囲を有するが、関節の機能障害は、ある場合には、通常の活動に及ぼす非常に有意な悪影響を有すると確認され、それらと関連付けられている。靭帯、血管、および神経等の重要な軟組織構造が、SI関節を囲繞し、介入を困難にしている。重要な周囲軟組織構造を侵害しないアプローチから、そのような介入を要求する、患者内のSI関節を低侵襲的に安定化および/または固定するための手段を有することは、貴重となるであろう。

(項目2)
前記ツールアセンブリは、1つ以上の除心デバイスを含み、該除心デバイスは、前記仙骨、腸骨、または両方の1つ以上の部分を除去および摘出するように構成される、項目1に記載のシステム。
(項目3)

Claims (9)
- 仙腸関節を安定化させるためのシステムであって、前記システムは、
a.後方アプローチから、患者の仙骨構造と腸骨構造との間に画定される仙腸接合部の中に前進させられるように構成されている欠陥生成のツールアセンブリであって、前記ツールアセンブリは、長手軸を有し、
前記ツールアセンブリは、前記仙腸接合部に、前記ツールアセンブリの長手軸に実質的に垂直な平面における少なくとも1つの円形でない断面形状によって部分的に画定される3次元形状の欠陥を生成するように構成されており、
前記3次元形状の欠陥は、中央部分によって接続される第1及び第2の葉を含み、前記第1の葉は、仙骨内に配置されて、仙骨欠陥形状を含み、前記第2の葉は、腸骨内に配置されて、腸骨欠陥形状を含む
当該ツールアセンブリと、
b.前記ツールアセンブリによって生成される前記3次元形状の欠陥に挿入されるように構成された外側幾何学形状を有するプロテーゼであって、
前記プロテーゼは、ブリッジセクションに接続された第1及び第2の細長い部分円筒形セクションを一体部材として含み、
前記第1の部分円筒形セクションの表面領域は、前記仙骨欠陥形状の少なくとも第1の部分に対応する第1の部分円筒形表面領域形状を含み、前記第2の部分円筒形セクションの表面領域は、前記腸骨欠陥形状の少なくとも第2の部分に対応する第2の部分円筒形表面領域形状を含む

- 前記画像捕捉デバイスは、X線透視装置、CTシステム、超音波システム、X線撮影システム、および磁気共鳴画像診断システムから成る群から選択される、請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記プロテーゼは固定触媒をさらに含み、前記固定触媒は、脱灰骨基質、自家移植骨材料、同種移植骨材料、ポリメタクリル酸メチル、カルシウム系骨空洞充填材材料、および骨形態形成蛋白質から成る群から選択される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記骨形態形成蛋白質は、BMP-1、BMP-7、およびOP-1から成る群から選択される、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記ツールアセンブリは、前記ツールアセンブリの前記長手軸に沿って断面が変化する欠陥形状を生成するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
