Claims (5)
- 進行波型電極および終端抵抗を含む光変調器と、前記光変調器を駆動する光変調器ドライバとを備えた光送信機において、
前記光変調器ドライバの出力は、オープンコレクタ型またはオープンドレイン型であり、
前記光変調器ドライバの出力端と前記光変調器とを接続する伝送線路は、特性インピーダンスを前記光変調器の特性インピーダンスより20%以上高くし、電気長を前記光変調器を駆動する電気信号の3dB帯域周波数に相当する波長の1/20以上1/2以下として、前記光変調器ドライバの出力端と、前記光変調器および前記伝送線路の接続点との間で多重反射を起こすように構成されていることを特徴とする光送信機。 - 前記光変調器ドライバの出力インピーダンスは、前記光変調器の特性インピーダンスより3倍以上高いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光送信機。
- 前記光変調器ドライバの出力線路、出力パッド部、前記光変調器の入力線路、または入力パッド部のインピーダンスを、前記光変調器の特性インピーダンスより高くしたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光送信機。
- 前記光変調器と前記光変調器ドライバとは、基板上にフリップチップ実装されており、前記伝送線路は、前記基板上にフリップチップ実装された線路基板に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の光送信機。
- 前記光変調器と前記光変調器ドライバとは、基板上にフリップチップ実装されており、前記伝送線路は、前記基板上に形成されたパッド間を接続するボンディングワイヤであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の光送信機。
