nは、0~12であり、好ましくは0~6であり、且つ、nが0でない場合、炭素鎖が、非置換でも、3個までのヒドロキシル-、アルコキシ-、アミノ-、アルキルアミノ-、ジアルキルアミノ-、若しくはニトロオキシ基により置換されていてもよい直鎖、環式、若しくは分岐鎖の脂肪族炭素鎖、又は一価若しくは多価不飽和のアルケニル若しくはアルキニル炭素鎖であり、任意の異性体形態であり、
R4は、独立に、水素又は1~12、好ましくは1~6個の炭素原子を含む飽和の直鎖、環式、若しくは分岐鎖のアルキル若しくはアルケニル基であり、
Xは、水素、R5、R5≡N、-OR5、-OCOR5、-NR5R6、-ONO2、-COOR5、-CONR5R6、-NHSO2R5、又は-SO2NHR5であり、
R5及びR6は、独立に、水素、非置換若しくは3個までのヒドロキシル-、アルコキシ-、アミノ-、アルキルアミノ-、ジアルキルアミノ-、若しくはニトロオキシ基により置換されているC1~C12直鎖、分岐鎖、若しくは環式アルキル鎖、一価不飽和でも多価不飽和でもよいアルケニル、又はアルキニル炭素鎖であり、任意の異性体形態である)
の化合物である。
-(a)表1から選択される少なくとも1種の化合物及び(b)少なくとも5個の炭素原子を含む少なくとも1種の脂肪酸、(c)少なくとも1種の脂溶性ビタミン、(d)少なくとも1種の水溶性ビタミン、(e)少なくとも1種の微量ミネラル、及び/又は(f)少なくとも1種のマクロミネラルを含む動物飼料添加物;
-少なくとも5個の炭素原子を含む少なくとも1種の脂肪酸及び表1から選択される少なくとも1種の化合物及び50~800g/kg飼料の粗タンパク質含量を含む動物飼料組成物。
-脂溶性ビタミンの例は、ビタミンA、ビタミンD3、ビタミンE、及びビタミンK、例えば、ビタミンK3である。
-水溶性ビタミンの例は、ビタミンB12、ビオチン及びコリン、ビタミンB1、ビタミンB2、ビタミンB6、ナイアシン、葉酸及びパントテン酸塩(panthothenate)、例えば、D-パントテン酸Caである。
-微量ミネラルの例は、マンガン、亜鉛、鉄、銅、ヨウ素、セレン、及びコバルトである。
-マクロミネラルの例は、カルシウム、リン、及びナトリウムである。
メタン生成のインビトロ試験:改変版の「Hohenheim Forage value Test(HFT)」を、このインビトロ系により模されたルーメン機能に対する特定の化合物の効果の試験に使用した。
[多量元素溶液:]
-6.2gリン酸二水素カリウム(KH2PO4)
-0.6g硫酸マグネシウム七水和物(MgSO4 *7H2O)
-9ml濃リン酸(1mol/l)
-蒸留水に溶解させて1lにする(pH約1.6)
-35.0g炭酸水素ナトリウム(NaHCO3)
-4.0g炭酸水素アンモニウム((NH4)HCO3)
-蒸留水に溶解させて1lにする
-13.2g塩化カルシウム二水和物(CaCl2 *2H2O)
-10.0g塩化マンガン(II)四水和物(MnCl2 *4H2O)
-1.0g塩化コバルト(II)六水和物(COCl2 *6H2O)
-8.0g塩化鉄(III)(FeCl3 *6H2O)
-蒸留水に溶解させて100mlにする
-100mgナトリウム塩
-蒸留水に溶解させて100mlにする
-最初に、3mlの水酸化ナトリウム(c=1mol/l)を、次いで427.5mg硫化ナトリウム水和物(Na2S*H2O)を、71.25ml H2Oに加える
-溶液は、媒体溶液に加える直前に調製しなければならない。
試料秤量:飼料材料-通常TMR(44%濃厚飼料、6%干し草、37%メイズサイレージ、及び13%牧草サイレージ)-を1mmにふるい分けし、正確に秤量して64本のシリンジに入れる。これらのシリンジのうち4本は、試験化合物の効果のない気体生成を示す基質対照である。他の4本のシリンジは、ブロモエタンスルホネートが0.1mMになるように加えられた陽性対照である。必要な場合、4本のシリンジは担体対照を含む(試験化合物が担体を必要とする場合)。残りのシリンジは、4本のシリンジの群で、試験化合物を含む。
成分を、以下の順序で、ウルフ瓶中で混合する:
-711ml水
-0.18ml微量元素溶液
-355.5ml緩衝溶液
-355.5ml多量元素溶液
完成した溶液を39℃に温め、それに続いて1.83mlナトリウム塩溶液を加え、還元溶液を36℃で加える。指示液が無色になったら、ルーメン液を加える。
発酵した飼料は、人工TMR(44%濃厚飼料、6%干し草、37%メイズサイレージ、及び13%牧草サイレージ)であった。Sigma Aldrichのラウリン酸を1000μΜの濃度で使用した。3-ニトロオキシ-プロパノール(3-NOP)を、異なる2種の濃度、2.5μΜ及び5μΜで使用した。
Claims (9)
- 反芻動物の消化活動から発するメタンの形成を減少させるための、且つ/又は反芻動物のパフォーマンスを改善するための、ラウリン酸及び3-ニトロオキシプロパノールを含む飼料組成物又は飼料添加物の使用。
- 前記反芻動物が、畜牛、ヤギ、ヒツジ、キリン、アメリカバイソン、ヨーロッパバイソン、ヤク、水牛、シカ、ラクダ、アルパカ、ラマ、ウィルドビースト、アンテロープ、プロングホーン、及びニルガイからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の使用。
- 反芻動物の前記メタンの生成が、代謝チャンバー中で測定され、前記3-ニトロオキシプロパノールによる処理に基づく場合、少なくとも10%減少する、請求項1又は2に記載の使用。
- 前記反芻動物に投与される前記3-ニトロオキシプロパノールの量が、飼料1kgあたり1mg~10gであり、前記反芻動物に投与される前記ラウリン酸の量が飼料1kgあたり0.1~20gである、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 前記ラウリン酸に対する前記3-ニトロオキシプロパノールのモル比が、0.00001~1である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- ラウリン酸及び3-ニトロオキシプロパノールを含む飼料組成物又は飼料添加物。
- 前記ラウリン酸に対する前記3-ニトロオキシプロパノールのモル比が、0.00001~1である、請求項6に記載の飼料組成物又は飼料添加物。
- 反芻動物の消化活動から発するメタンの生成を減少させ、且つ/又は反芻動物のパフォーマンスを改善する方法であって、前記動物に、ラウリン酸及び3-ニトロオキシプロパノールを含む飼料組成物又は飼料添加物を経口投与することを含む方法。
- 前記反芻動物が、畜牛、ヤギ、ヒツジ、キリン、アメリカバイソン、ヨーロッパバイソン、ヤク、水牛、シカ、ラクダ、アルパカ、ラマ、ウィルドビースト、アンテロープ、プロングホーン、及びニルガイからなる群から選択される、請求項8に記載の方法。
