Claims (20)
- ハードディスクドライブ内の狭帯域停滞を監視するための方法であって、
空気軸受スライダの下の記憶円盤に対する過浮上空気軸受スライダ位置を検出することと、
潤滑被膜変位式を、前記過浮上空気軸受スライダの下の前記記憶円盤の狭帯域に適用することと、
潤滑被膜リフロー式を、前記空気軸受スライダから離れた前記記憶円盤の1つ以上の他の狭帯域に適用することと、
前記適用された変位式及びリフロー式に基づいて、前記記憶円盤の前記狭帯域内で経時的に潤滑被膜厚さをトラッキングすることとを含む、方法。 - 前記過浮上空気軸受スライダ位置を前記検出することが、前記記憶円盤上で前記空気軸受スライダを懸吊するアクチュエータアームの角度配向を監視することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 経時的に潤滑被膜厚さをトラッキングするために、前記記憶円盤の表面エリアを一連の同心狭帯域に論理的に分割することを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑被膜変位式が、前記一連の同心狭帯域の1つ以上に適用され、前記潤滑被膜リフロー式が、前記一連の同心狭帯域の他の全てに適用される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記空気軸受スライダが、前記記憶円盤の前記狭帯域を過浮上する累積時間及び連続時間の一方又は両方をトラッキングすることを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記狭帯域の潤滑被膜厚さ値が最小値を下回る事象数をトラッキングすることを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記過浮上空気軸受スライダに隣接するハードディスクドライブの帯域の前記トラッキングされた潤滑被膜厚さが最小値を下回るとき、シーク動作を実施することを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- シーク動作間で経過した時間が所定の最大値を超過するとき、シーク動作を実施することを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記過浮上空気軸受スライダに隣接する前記ハードディスクドライブの帯域の前記トラッキングされた潤滑被膜厚さの1つが最小値を下回り、かつシーク動作間で経過した時間が所定の最大値を超過するとき、スライダ浮遊高さを変更することを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑被膜変位式及び前記潤滑被膜リフロー式の一方又は双方が温度補償係数を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑被膜変位式及び前記潤滑被膜リフロー式の一方又は双方がヘッド−媒体間隔補償係数を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ハードディスクドライブであって、
記憶円盤と、
過浮上空気軸受スライダと、
狭帯域停滞モニタであって、
前記記憶円盤に対する空気軸受スライダ位置を検出し、
前記過浮上空気軸受スライダの下の前記記憶円盤の狭帯域に潤滑被膜変位式を適用し、
前記過浮上空気軸受スライダから離れた前記記憶円盤の1つ以上の他の狭帯域に潤滑被膜リフロー式を適用し、
前記適用された変位式及びリフロー式に基づいて、前記記憶円盤の前記狭帯域内で経時的に潤滑被膜厚さをトラッキングする、狭帯域停滞モニタとを備える、ハードディスクドライブ。 - 前記過浮上空気軸受スライダに隣接する前記ハードディスクドライブの帯域の前記トラッキングされた潤滑被膜厚さが最小値を下回るとき、シーク動作及びドライブプロセス変更の一つ又は両方を実施する狭帯域停滞緩和装置を更に備える、請求項12に記載のハードディスクドライブ。
- シーク動作間で経過した時間が所定の最大値を超過するとき、シーク動作及びアンロード動作の一つ又は両方を実施する狭帯域停滞緩和装置を更に備える、請求項12に記載のハードディスクドライブ。
- ハードディスクドライブ内の狭帯域停滞を監視するコンピュータプロセスをコンピュータシステム上で実行するためのコンピュータで実行可能な命令をエンコードする1つ以上のコンピュータ可読記憶媒体であって、前記コンピュータプロセスが、
空気軸受スライダの下の記憶円盤に対する過浮上空気軸受スライダ位置を検出することと、
潤滑被膜変位式を、前記過浮上空気軸受スライダの下の前記記憶円盤の狭帯域に適用することと、
潤滑被膜リフロー式を、前記空気軸受スライダから離れた前記記憶円盤の1つ以上の他の狭帯域に適用することと、
前記適用された変位式及びリフロー式に基づいて、前記記憶円盤の前記狭帯域内で経時的に潤滑被膜厚さをトラッキングすることとを含む、コンピュータ可読記憶媒体。 - 前記過浮上空気軸受スライダ位置を前記検出することが、前記記憶円盤上で前記空気軸受スライダを懸吊するアクチュエータアームの角度配向を監視することを含む、請求項15に記載のコンピュータ可読記憶媒体。
- 前記コンピュータプロセスが、
経時的に潤滑被膜厚さをトラッキングするために、前記記憶円盤の表面エリアを一連の同心狭帯域に論理的に分割することを更に含む、請求項15に記載のコンピュータ可読記憶媒体。 - 前記潤滑被膜変位式が、前記一連の同心狭帯域の1つ以上に適用され、前記潤滑被膜リフロー式が、前記一連の同心狭帯域の他の全てに適用される、請求項17に記載のコンピュータ可読記憶媒体。
