Description
Claims (7)
- 同位体製造システムであって、
粒子ビームを生成する粒子加速器であって、ストリッパ箔を含む粒子加速器と、
ターゲットアセンブリであって、
製造チャンバと、前記製造チャンバに隣接するビームキャビティと、を有するターゲット本体であって、前記製造チャンバは、ターゲット材料を保持するように構成されており、前記ビームキャビティは、前記ターゲット本体の外側に対して開口し、前記製造チャンバに入射する粒子ビームを受容するように構成されている、ターゲット本体と、
前記ビームキャビティ及び前記製造チャンバを分離するように位置付けられているターゲットシートであって、前記ターゲットシートは、同位体の製造中に前記ターゲットシートが前記ターゲット材料と接触するように前記製造チャンバに露出される側面を有するターゲットシートと
を含むターゲットアセンブリと
を備え、
前記ターゲットシートはグラフェンを含み、
前記ターゲットシートが前記ストリッパ箔よりも少なくとも15倍厚い、同位体製造システム。 - 前記ターゲットシートは、グラフェンから本質的になるグラフェン層を含む、請求項1に記載の同位体製造システム。
- 前記ターゲットシートはまた、前記グラフェン層に対して積層されるチャンバ層を含み、前記チャンバ層は、前記グラフェン層と前記製造チャンバとの間に位置付けられ、同位体の製造中に前記ターゲット材料が前記チャンバ層と接触するように前記製造チャンバに露出される、請求項2に記載の同位体製造システム。
- 前記チャンバ層は、前記粒子ビームによる活性化時に長寿命同位体を生じさせる材料を含まない、請求項3に記載の同位体製造システム。
- 前記チャンバ層は、金、ニオブ、タンタル、チタン、又は上記のうちの1つ以上を含む合金を含む、請求項3に記載の同位体製造システム。
- 前記ターゲットシートは、少なくとも20マイクロメートルの厚さを有する、請求項1に記載の同位体製造システム。
- 前記ターゲット本体は、ビーム通路内に配置されるグリッド部を含み、前記グリッド部は、前記ターゲットシートの前面と接する背面を有し、前記グリッド部は、前記ターゲットシートを支持して、前記製造チャンバ内の高圧による破裂の可能性を低減する、請求項1に記載の同位体製造システム。
