Description
Claims (9)
- 電極組立体が円筒状カンに内蔵されている構造の電池においてカンの開放上端部に搭載されるキャップアセンブリーであって、
電池の内圧上昇時に破裂されてガスを排出する安全ベントと、
前記安全ベントの上部に搭載され、ガス排出のための貫通口が形成されている上方突出形のキャッププレートと、
前記安全ベントの下端に付着され、電池の内圧上昇時に前記安全ベントと協働して電流を断電させる電流遮断部材と、
電池の内圧上昇によって破裂された安全ベントの破裂部位が前記キャッププレートと衝突することを防止するためにキャッププレートの内側に付着されているガイド部材と、
を含んでなり、
前記安全ベントは、外周部から下方に折り曲げられる第1折曲部、前記第1折曲部から下方に延びた傾斜部、及び前記傾斜部から中心に向かって水平に折り曲げられた第2折曲部を含んでなり、
前記第1折曲部及び第2折曲部のうち、第2折曲部に、電池の内圧上昇時に破裂を誘導するノッチが形成され、
前記ガイド部材は、キャッププレートの突出部の下面の半径(R)に対して0.3R〜Rの範囲の幅に形成され、
前記ガイド部材は、キャッププレートの突出部の下面を外周部とする平面上の円を基準に10度〜90度の範囲の中心角を有する大きさに形成され、
前記第2折曲部は閉曲線形のノッチ形態であり、
前記安全ベントは、電池の内圧上昇時、第2折曲部のノッチ全体が破断されることにより、前記傾斜部と第2折曲部を基準に区分される平坦部が完全に分離される、キャップアセンブリー。 - 前記ガイド部材は、電池の内圧上昇時に分離される安全ベントの部位がキャッププレートの方向に上昇することを防止する作用をする、請求項1に記載のキャップアセンブリー。
- 前記電流遮断部材は、安全ベントの下端に付着されている上方突出形の突出部が中央に形成されており、ガスの排出のための二つ以上の貫通口が形成されている、請求項1に記載のキャップアセンブリー。
- 前記貫通口は電流遮断部材の中心を基準に放射状対称位置に円弧形に形成されている、請求項3に記載のキャップアセンブリー。
- 前記第1折曲部は閉曲線形のノッチ形態である、請求項1に記載のキャップアセンブリー。
- 前記ガイド部材はキャッププレートの突出部の下面の外周部から中心方向に延びている構造である、請求項1に記載のキャップアセンブリー。
- 前記分離された平坦部は、地面に対して傾斜面が形成されるように傾いてガス排出通路を形成する、請求項1に記載のキャップアセンブリー。
- 前記傾斜面の下部はガイド部材の下面に位置し、傾斜面の上部はガイド部材の反対側に位置する、請求項7に記載のキャップアセンブリー。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のキャップアセンブリーを含む、円筒形電池セル。
