なお、イオン交換基導入量とは、単位親水性基あたりのイオン交換基の数と定義される。また、陰イオン交換基導入量は、親水性基において主鎖または側鎖に導入された上記陰イオン交換基のモル数(mol)である。
<アルキルモノマーの合成>
窒素インレットおよび冷却管を備えた300mLの丸底三口フラスコに、4−クロロベンズアルデヒド(7.03g、50.0mmol)、エタノール(100mL)を加えて溶解し、3Mの水酸化ナトリウム(50mL、150mmol)および4’−クロロアセトフェノン(6.5mL、50.0mmol)を加えて室温で3h反応した。
窒素インレット、メカニカルスターラーおよび冷却管を備えた100mLの丸底三口フラスコに、上記アルキルオリゴマー(0.252g、0.65mmol)、9,9−ビス(4−(−クロロフェニル)フルオレン(0.500g、1.62mmol)、2,2’−ビピリジン(0.534g、3.41mmol)、N,N−ジメチルアセトアミド(15mL)を加えた。この混合物を撹拌して、アルキルオリゴマー、9,9−ビス(4−(−クロロフェニル)フルオレンおよび2,2’−ビピリジンを溶解させた後に、ビス(シクロオクタ−1,5−ジエン)ニッケル(0)(0.940g、3.41mmol)を加え、80℃に加熱して3時間反応させた。
(クロロメチル化反応)
100mLのガラス反応容器に陰イオン交換樹脂前駆体ポリマー(0.31g)と1,1,2,2−テトラクロロエタン(21mL)を加えた。この混合物を撹拌して陰イオン交換樹脂前駆体ポリマーを溶解させた後に、アルゴンで置換したグローブボックス中において、クロロメチルメチルエーテル(4mL)、塩化亜鉛(0.029g、0.21mmol)、塩化チオニル(0.3mL)を加えて、80℃で3時間反応させた。
クロロメチル化された陰イオン交換樹脂前駆体ポリマーを、溶液キャスト法により製膜した。
クロロメチル化された陰イオン交換樹脂前駆体ポリマーの膜を、トリメチルアミン45質量%水溶液中に40℃で2日間浸漬させ、不均一系で反応させた。
<アルキルモノマーの合成>
窒素インレットおよび冷却管を備えた300mLの丸底三口フラスコに、モノクロロベンゼン(50mL)、塩化アルミニウム(III)(13.33g、100mmol)を加え、氷浴中で十分撹拌した後、アジポイルクロリド(7.32g、40.0mmol)を徐々に滴下した。30分間撹拌した後、60℃に昇温して24時間反応を行った。
<アルキルモノマーの合成>
窒素インレットおよび冷却管を備えた300mLの丸底三口フラスコに、モノクロロベンゼン(50mL)、塩化アルミニウム(III)(13.33g、100mmol)を加え、氷浴中で十分撹拌した後、セバコイルクロリド(7.32g、40.0mmol)を徐々に滴下した。30分間撹拌した後、60℃に昇温して24時間反応を行った。
<耐久試験>
実施例1〜3で得た陰イオン交換樹脂の膜に対し、耐久試験を行った。具体的には、試験前の陰イオン交換樹脂の膜のIR測定と、1M KOH水溶液(60℃)に1000時間浸漬後の陰イオン交換樹脂の膜のIR測定を行った。
実施例1〜3で得た陰イオン交換樹脂の膜に対し、引張試験を行った。Toshin Kogyo temperature control unit Bethel−3を搭載したShimazu universal testing instrument Autogragh AGS−J500Nを用い、恒温、恒湿に制御されたチャンバー内で行った。測定は、12mm×2mm(サンプル全体の面積:35mm×6mm)のダンベル型サンプル(DIN−53504−S3)を80℃、60%RHの条件下に保持後、10mm/minの速度で引っ張ることで応力−歪み曲線を得た(図2)。測定条件において、温度および湿度の安定化待ち時間は3時間とした。なお、図2には、比較例として、特許文献2に記載された実施例に基づいて合成した陰イオン交換樹脂(IEC=1.26)の膜に対し引張試験を行った結果も併せて示した。
実施例1〜3で得た陰イオン交換樹脂の膜に対し、動的粘弾性試験を行った。アイティー計測ITK DVA−225動的粘弾性アナライザーを用い、相対湿度60%、40℃から90℃における貯蔵弾性率(E’(Pa))、損失弾性率(E’’(Pa))およびtanδの温度依存性測定した。サンプルは5mm×30mm、約25μmに切り出して設置し、加湿速度1%/minおよび昇温速度1℃/min条件で行った。なお、図3には、比較例として、特許文献2に記載された実施例に基づいて合成した陰イオン交換樹脂(IEC=1.26)の膜に対し動的粘弾性試験を行った結果も併せて示した。
