衣類を収容するドラムと、前面にドラム内に繋がる衣類取出口を有する本体ケースと、衣類取出口を被蓋する外周が略円形状に形成された扉とを備え、扉が本体ケースに対して前方へ略水平に回動可能な状態で軸支された衣類乾燥機であって、
扉を本体ケースに回動可能な状態で軸支する1つのヒンジ機構部と、
扉を閉状態で保持可能なラッチ機構部とを備え、
衣類取出口外周縁は、円環状且つ後方へ一段凹没して形成され、扉が衣類取出口外周縁内に嵌り込むように構成されており、
ヒンジ機構部は、扉の後面側で、衣類取出口外周縁の凹没した円環状の部分に取り付けられるように構成され、
ヒンジ機構部及びラッチ機構部は、それぞれ取り外した部材を用いて左右交換されるように構成されており、
衣類取出口外周の左右点対称位置のそれぞれに、ヒンジ機構部の本体側軸支部又はラッチ機構部の本体側係合部を取り付け可能な共通取付部が設けられ、
本体側軸支部および本体側係合部は、前記共通取付部に対して本体ケースの前面側から取り付け固定するように構成されており、
本体側係合部は、共通取付部に取り付けられた状態において、共通取付部のヒンジ被固定部を本体ケースの前面側から覆うように構成され
共通取付部は、衣類取出口の中心を基点として左右点対称に開設された長孔を有し、
長孔の一方の側縁には、本体側軸支部位置決め用の本体側軸支部位置決め部が形成され、
