前面にドアで開閉される衣類投入口を有する箱形状の筐体と、該筐体の内部に配設され前面に開口を有する外槽と、該外槽の内部に前後方向に延伸する傾斜軸を中心に前上がりで回転自在に設けられたドラムと、を具備するドラム式洗濯機において、
前記ドアは、ドア本体と、該ドア本体にあって上下方向に延伸するドア軸を中心に該ドア本体を回動させるための蝶番アームの取付部と、前記ドア本体が衣類投入口を閉塞した状態を保持するための係止部とを有し、
前記筐体は、左右の両側面をそれぞれ覆う、右側面板部材及び左側面板部材と、両側面板部材の前縁部に差し渡して取り付けられ、前記衣類投入口の枠を形成するとともに前記ドアを開閉するための前記ドア軸及び蝶番アームを含む蝶番機構を取り付ける蝶番装着部、及び前記ドアの係止部と係合することで前記ドアを閉鎖状態に保持するドアラッチ機構を取り付けるドアラッチ装着部、を有する前面枠部材と、該前面枠部材を覆うようにその前面に装着される前面化粧カバーとを含み、
前記前面枠部材を前記両側面板部材に取り付ける際に該前面枠部材を180°回転させることでドアの左開き仕様、右開き仕様の選択を可能とするために、
前記左右両側面板部材の前縁部の一部前記ドラムの傾斜に対応して斜め上方に指向する直線形状とされ、
前記前面枠部材の両縁端部にはそれぞれ複数のリード線を上下方向に通すために前方が開放された横断面コ字状のリード線案内溝がそれぞれ形成され、それらリード線案内溝の底面に、該前面枠部材を前記両側面板部材の直線形状の前縁部に取り付けるために螺設部材又は加締部材が挿入される孔が、左開き仕様と右開き仕様とでそれぞれ異なる位置に複数穿設され、
