Description
(a)水溶液(A)を提供することであって、水溶液(A)が、5.5以下のpHを有し、かつ
(i)溶解有機炭素として測定される1mg/L以上の量の1つ以上の溶解した有機化合物と、
(ii)水溶液(A)の重量に基づき95重量%以上の水とを含む、提供することと、
(b)水溶液(A)を、−1.0〜2.5の計算されたHanschパラメータを有するアクリル樹脂(B)の粒子の集合体と接触させることと、
(c)次いで、アクリル樹脂(B)の粒子の集合体から水溶液(C)を分離することと、を含む、水を精製する方法である。
(A)−1.0〜2.5の計算されたHanschパラメータを有するアクリル樹脂(B2)の粒子の集合体を提供することであって、1つ以上のフミン酸、1つ以上のフルボ酸、またはこれらの混合物が前記アクリル樹脂(B2)に吸着する、提供することと、
(B)アクリル樹脂(B2)の粒子の集合体を、4以下のpHを有する水溶液(RA)と接触させて、混合物B2RAを形成することと、
(C)次いで、混合物B2RAからアクリル樹脂(B3)を分離することと、を含む、アクリル樹脂(B2)を再生する方法である。
(A)−1.0〜2.5の計算されたHanschパラメータを有するアクリル樹脂(B2)の粒子の集合体を提供することであって、1つ以上のフミン酸、1つ以上のフルボ酸、またはこれらの混合物がアクリル樹脂(B2)に吸着する、提供することと、
(B)アクリル樹脂(B2)の粒子の集合体を、10以上のpHを有する水溶液(RB)と接触させて、混合物B2RBを形成することであって、水溶液(RB)が、金属陽イオン及び水酸化物陰イオンを含み、前記非水酸化物陰イオンが、前記水溶液(RB)の重量に基づき0.5重量%以上の量で存在する、形成することと、
(C)次いで、混合物B2RBからアクリル樹脂(B4)を分離することと、を含む、アクリル樹脂(B2)を再生する方法である。

式中、Mon1、Mon2などは、ポリマー中に含まれる重合したモノマー単位であり、WFMonXはMonXの重量分率であり、HMonXはMonXの計算されたHanschパラメータであり、その合計はポリマーに含まれる全てのモノマー単位である。注意すべき点は、以下のとおりである。

Scav1=−0.1のハッシュパラメータを有するアクリル樹脂

RW=砂を通した濾過後の河川水;平均TOC=2.6ppm C/L(最小TOC=1.9ppm C/L、最大TOC=3.9ppm C/L)。下記の例では、RWは常に2.5〜3.2のpHを有していた。
TOC=GE Power&WaterのSIEVERS 900アナライザーを用いて測定された溶解有機炭素。
WB1=AMBERLITE(商標)IRA96、ペンダント第三級アミン基、2.6〜2.8の範囲のHanschパラメータを有するマクロポーラススチレン/DVBコポリマー。
SB1=AMBERLITE(商標)IRA900、強塩基性マクロポーラススチレン/DVBコポリマー、−1.6〜−1.4の範囲のHanschパラメータ。
(V1−V2)×(希釈係数)
実施例1及び2は、以下のように、図1に記載された構成を採用した:
陽イオン交換樹脂(Y)=AMBERJET(商標)UP1400樹脂またはAMBERJET(商標)1500樹脂(いずれもDow Chemical Company製)。両方とも、ゲルタイプ、スルホン酸官能性、ポリスチレンジビニルベンゼンコポリマー樹脂である。これらの2つの樹脂は、本方法において交換可能であると考えられる。この方法を実施する当初では、両方とも水素形態であった。陰イオン交換樹脂(D)=AMBERLITE(商標)IRA900強塩基陰イオン交換樹脂、ペンダントトリエチルアンモニウム基を有するスチレン/DVBコポリマー(The Dow Chemical Company)
流れの方向:各容器の上から下へ
容器寸法:3cm内径、28.3cm床深さ
流速:3L/h
特定の流速:15BV/h
RWは、3.8ppm C/LのTOCを有した。
水溶液(A)のpH、アクリル樹脂(B)への流入量は2.5〜3.2であった。
実施例1アクリル樹脂(B)=Scav1
実施例2アクリル樹脂(B)=Scav2
水溶液(C)のTOC対水溶液(A)のTOCの比が0.8:1に達するまで、スカベンジャー樹脂Scav1に実施例1の手順を用いて溶解有機化合物を装填した。
Scav1の代わりにScav2を用いて実施例1を繰り返した。結果は以下の通りである:
供給される水のTOCが2.1ppbC/Lであること除いて、実施例1の手順を繰り返した。樹脂(B)として、以下が用いられた:
樹脂(B)を比較樹脂SB1としたことを除いて実施例1を繰り返した(Cl形態のAMBERLITE(商標)IRA900)。実施例10Cの結果は、実施例1の結果と直接比較し得る。
樹脂Scav1を、実施例1の手順において、樹脂が上記の基準に従って装填されるまで使用した。
(V1−V2)×5/1000は、
樹脂1リットル当りのO2グラムを与え、それを以下に報告する。
実施例11:10重量%のNaCl及び1重量%のNaOHの水溶液
装填されたScav1樹脂を、以下の変更を伴い、実施例11及び12の方法を用いて再生した。樹脂を第1の再生床体積に3時間曝し、第2の再生床体積に2時間曝した。
Claims (6)
- (A)−1.0〜2.5の計算されたlogPとして表されるHanschパラメータを有するアクリル樹脂(B2)の粒子の集合体を提供することであって、1つ以上のフミン酸、1つ以上のフルボ酸、またはこれらの混合物が前記アクリル樹脂(B2)に吸着する、提供することと、
(B)アクリル樹脂(B2)の粒子の前記集合体を、10以上のpHを有する水溶液(RB)と接触させて、混合物B2RBを形成することであって、前記水溶液(RB)が、金属陽イオン、水酸化物陰イオン、及び非水酸化物陰イオンを含み、前記非水酸化物陰イオンが、前記水溶液(RB)の重量に基づき0.5重量%以上の量で存在する、形成することと、
(C)次いで、再生された前記アクリル樹脂(B2)であるアクリル樹脂(B4)を前記混合物B2RBから分離することと、を含む、アクリル樹脂(B2)を再生する方法。 - 前記水溶液(RB)は、13以上のpHを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 水溶液(RB)は、前記水溶液(RB)の重量に基づき、
(I)1重量%〜10重量%の金属陽イオンと、
(II)1重量%〜9重量%の水酸化物イオンと、
(III)0.3重量%〜1.5重量%の非水酸化物陰イオンと、を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記金属陽イオンは、ナトリウム陽イオンである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記非水酸化物陰イオンは、塩化物イオンである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- (AA)−1.0〜2.5の計算されたlogPとして表されるHanschパラメータを有するアクリル樹脂(B2)の粒子の集合体を提供することであって、1つ以上のフミン酸、1つ以上のフルボ酸、またはこれらの混合物が前記アクリル樹脂(B2)に吸着する、提供することと、 (BB)強塩基陰イオン交換樹脂である樹脂(D2)の粒子の集合体を提供することであって、1つ以上の非水酸化物陰イオンが前記樹脂(D2)に吸着する、提供することと、
(CC)樹脂(D2)の粒子の前記集合体を、10以上のpHを有する水溶液(RB)と接触させて、混合物RBD2を形成することと、
(DD)前記混合物RBD2から水溶液(RB2)を分離することと、
(EE)アクリル樹脂(B2)の粒子の前記集合体を、前記水溶液(RB2)と接触させて、混合物B2RB2を形成することと、
(FF)前記混合物B2RB2から水溶液(RE)を分離することと、を含む、アクリル樹脂(B2)及び樹脂(D2)を再生する方法。
