膜フィルターは、第1のコンパートメントから第2のコンパートメントへの水性液体の移動を可能にし、第1のコンパートメントから第2のコンパートメントへの、所定のサイズの粒子の移動を防止する、防水性パウチと、
第1のコンパートメント内でパウチに接着された、乾燥した冷水溶解性ゲル化剤と、
第2のコンパートメント内に配置された吸収パッドと、を備える、微生物検出デバイスである。
所定の体積の水性試料を、先行する請求項のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスの第1のコンパートメント内に入れることと、
試料ポートを密封することと、
デバイスを、標的微生物の増殖及び検出を促進する温度で、ある時間インキュベートすることと、
デバイスにおける標的微生物のコロニーの存在又は非存在を検出することと、を含む方法である。
Claims (3)
- 防水性パウチであって、
内面及び外面を有する第1の壁部、
内面及び外面を有する第2の壁部、
前記第1の壁部の前記内面と前記第2の壁部の前記内面との間で前記パウチ内に配置されており、第1主面及び前記第1主面の反対側の第2主面を有する多孔質膜フィルター、
前記第1の壁部の内面によって部分的に画定されており、前記膜フィルターの前記第1主面によって部分的に画定されている第1のコンパートメント、
前記第1のコンパートメント内に液体を注入するためのアクセスを提供する、密封可能な試料ポート、
前記第2の壁部の前記内面によって部分的に画定されていると共に前記膜フィルターの前記第2主面によって部分的に画定されている第2のコンパートメント、を備え、
前記膜フィルターは、前記第1のコンパートメントから前記第2のコンパートメントへの水性液体の移動を可能にし、前記第1のコンパートメントから前記第2のコンパートメントへの、所定のサイズの粒子の移動を防止する、前記防水性パウチと、
前記第1のコンパートメント内で前記パウチに接着された、乾燥した冷水溶解性ゲル化剤と、
前記第2のコンパートメント内に配置された吸収パッドと、を備える、微生物検出デバイス。 - 前記パウチに接着された前記ゲル化剤は、第2の領域を画定しており、前記第1のコンパートメントは、約100mL〜約150mLの所定の体積を収容するように構成されており、前記第2の領域は、コロニー計数領域を画定しており、前記所定の体積対前記コロニー計数領域の比は、1mL当たり1cm2未満である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 所定の体積の水性試料を、請求項1又は2に記載のデバイスの前記第1のコンパートメント内に入れることと、
前記試料ポートを密封することと、
前記デバイスを、標的微生物の増殖及び検出を促進する温度で、ある時間インキュベートすることと、
前記デバイスにおける前記標的微生物のコロニーの存在又は非存在を検出することと、を含む方法。
