Description
Claims (16)
- 患者の身体管腔に配置するための治療カテーテルであって、
拡張可能な構造体と、
1またはそれ以上の第1貫通孔および1またはそれ以上の第2貫通孔が設けられた壁を有する細長い中空シャフトであって、前記1またはそれ以上の第1貫通孔が、前記1またはそれ以上の第2貫通孔から軸方向に間隔を置いて配置され、当該細長い中空シャフトが近位端部分および遠位端部分を有し、前記拡張可能な構造体が当該細長い中空シャフトの遠位端部分の周囲に配置され、前記1またはそれ以上の第1貫通孔が前記拡張可能な構造体の内側に配置され、かつ前記1またはそれ以上の第2貫通孔が前記拡張可能な構造体よりも近位側に位置する、細長い中空シャフトと、
前記細長い中空シャフトの外面に沿って配置されたスリーブであって、第1軸方向位置と第2軸方向位置との間で移動可能であり、前記第1軸方向位置において前記1またはそれ以上の第2貫通孔を介して前記身体管腔内に治療薬が流れるのを阻止し、前記第2軸方向位置において前記1またはそれ以上の第2貫通孔を介して前記身体管腔内に治療薬が流れるのを許容し、当該スリーブの第1軸方向位置が第2軸方向位置よりも遠位側に位置するスリーブと、
前記細長い中空シャフトの内側ルーメン内に配置されたシールユニットを有する細長いワイヤであって、前記シールユニットが、前記拡張可能な構造体の内側に少なくとも部分的に配置され、かつ第1軸方向位置と第2軸方向位置との間で移動可能であり、前記第1軸方向位置において、前記1またはそれ以上の第1貫通孔を介して、前記拡張可能な構造体のキャビティと前記細長い中空シャフトの内側ルーメンとの間に膨張媒体が流れるのを阻止し、前記第2軸方向位置において、前記1またはそれ以上の第1貫通孔を介して、前記拡張可能な構造体のキャビティと前記細長い中空シャフトの内側ルーメンとの間に膨張媒体が流れるのを許容し、当該細長いワイヤの第1軸方向位置が第2軸方向位置よりも近位側に位置する細長いワイヤとを備え、
前記細長いワイヤの近位側の直径が前記細長いシャフトの遠位側の直径よりも小さく、前記細長いワイヤの近位側と前記中空シャフトとの間を前記治療薬および膨張媒体が流れることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記シールユニットよりも近位に位置する細長いワイヤの断面積は、前記細長い中空シャフトの内側ルーメンの断面積よりも小さいことを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記細長い中空シャフトが金属から形成されることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項3に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記細長い中空シャフトが金属ハイポチューブであることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項3に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記細長い中空シャフトが、0.0635センチメートル以上0.089センチメート以下の外径を有することを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項5に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記細長い中空シャフトの壁が、0.00381センチメートル以上0.00762センチメートル以下の厚さを有することを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項5に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記細長い中空シャフトの遠位端部分が、当該遠位端部分の可撓性を高めるために、外面から内側に延びる複数の切り込みを有することを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記シールユニットの外面と前記細長い中空シャフトの内面との間に圧縮嵌めがなされていることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記スリーブと前記細長い中空シャフトの外面との間に圧縮嵌めがなされていることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記シールユニットには、前記細長いワイヤの外面の長さに沿って配置されたエラストマー材料が部分的に存在し、前記エラストマー材料が、前記細長いワイヤの外面の凹部内に存在することを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項10に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記細長いワイヤの外面が、前記細長いワイヤへのエラストマー材料の付着力を高めるために粗面化されていることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記シールユニットが、近位端および遠位端を備え、前記シールユニットの近位端に第1放射線不透過性マーカが設けられ、前記シールユニットの遠位端に第2放射線不透過性マーカが設けられていることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項12に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記スリーブの遠位端に第3放射線不透過性マーカが設けられていることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記細長いワイヤ、前記スリーブおよび前記細長い中空シャフトのうちの1またはそれ以上に、第1軸方向位置と第2軸方向位置との間で前記シールユニットの軸方向の移動範囲を定める止め要素が設けられていることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記細長いワイヤが、前記シールユニットよりも遠位方向に延びる端部セグメントを備え、前記端部セグメントが、前記治療カテーテルが身体管腔の少なくとも一部分を通して自動誘導されるのに十分な長さを有することを特徴とする治療カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の治療カテーテルにおいて、
前記拡張可能な構造体が、膨張可能な膜であるバルーンであり、前記バルーンの近位部分に沿って配置された膨張可能な膜の少なくとも一部分が多孔性であることを特徴とする治療カテーテル。
