Claims (14)
- 車両用のバックミラーアセンブリであって、
第1表面及び第2表面を含む第1基材、第3表面及び第4表面を含む第2基材、並びに、前記第2表面と前記第3表面との間に配置される電気光学媒体、を含む電気光学素子と、
環境光レベルを検出するように構成された環境光センサと、
後続の車両からのグレア光を検出するように構成されたグレアセンサと、
前記電気光学素子を通して放射線を伝送するように構成された赤外線(IR)光源と、
前記第4表面の近位にあり、前記電気光学素子を介して物体の画像データを捕捉するように構成された画像センサと、
コントローラと、
を備え、
前記コントローラは、
前記環境光センサから通信される環境光と前記グレアセンサから通信されるグレア光とを監視し、
前記環境光と前記グレア光とに応じて前記電気光学素子の動作条件を制御し、
前記光学素子の前記動作条件と協働して前記光学素子を通しての前記赤外線光源からの放射線出力の強度を制御し、
前記画像データに基づいて、前記車両の少なくとも1人の搭乗者を識別する
ように構成されている
ことを特徴とするバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記電気光学素子に隣接して配置されたディスプレイ
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記第4表面の近位に配置されている
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記画像センサによって捕捉された前記画像データを呈示する
ことを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記物体は、前記車両の搭乗者の目に対応する
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、780ナノメートルを超える波長を有する赤外線を放射する
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、複数の波長の赤外線を放射する
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、少なくとも1つの発光ダイオードを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 車両用のバックミラーアセンブリであって、
第1表面及び第2表面を含む第1基材、第3表面及び第4表面を含む第2基材、並びに、前記第2表面と前記第3表面との間に配置される電気光学媒体、を含む電気光学素子と、
環境光レベルを検出するように構成された環境光センサと、
後続の車両からのグレア光を検出するように構成されたグレアセンサと、
車両搭乗者に放射線を伝送するように構成された赤外線(IR)光源と、
前記車両搭乗者の識別特徴から反射される前記放射線を示す画像データを捕捉するように構成された画像センサと、
コントローラと、
を備え、
前記コントローラは、
前記環境光と前記グレア光とに応じて前記電気光学素子の動作条件を制御し、
前記光学素子の前記動作条件と協働して前記光学素子を通しての前記赤外線光源からの放射線出力の強度を制御し、
前記画像データに基づいて、前記車両の少なくとも1人の搭乗者を識別する
ように構成されている
ことを特徴とするバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記電気光学素子に隣接して配置されたディスプレイ
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記第4表面の近位に配置されている
ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記画像センサによって捕捉された前記画像データを呈示する
ことを特徴とする請求項10または11に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記補足された画像データは、前記車両の搭乗者の目に対応する
ことを特徴とする請求項9乃至12のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、780ナノメートルを超える波長を有する赤外線を放射する
ことを特徴とする請求項9乃至13のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。
