Claims (20)
- 車両用のバックミラーアセンブリであって、
第1表面及び第2表面を含む第1基材、第3表面及び第4表面を含む第2基材、並びに、前記第2表面と前記第3表面との間に配置される電気光学媒体、を含む電気光学素子と、
前記電気光学素子を通して放射線を伝送するように構成された赤外線(IR)光源と、
前記第4表面の近位にあり、前記電気光学素子を介して物体の画像データを捕捉するように構成された画像センサと、
を備え、
前記画像センサは、前記車両の少なくとも1人の搭乗者を識別するように構成されている
ことを特徴とするバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記電気光学素子に隣接して配置されたディスプレイ
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記第4表面の近位に配置されている
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記画像センサによって捕捉された前記画像データを呈示する
ことを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記物体は、前記車両の搭乗者の目に対応する
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、780ナノメートルを超える波長を有する赤外線を放射する
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、複数の波長の赤外線を放射する
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、少なくとも1つの発光ダイオードを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 車両用のバックミラーアセンブリであって、
第1表面及び第2表面を含む第1基材、第3表面及び第4表面を含む第2基材、並びに、前記第2表面と前記第3表面との間に配置される電気光学媒体、を含む電気光学素子と、
環境光レベルを検出するように構成された環境光センサと、
車両搭乗者に放射線を伝送するように構成された赤外線(IR)光源と、
前記車両搭乗者の識別特徴の画像データを捕捉するように構成された画像センサと、
を備え、
前記IR光源放射線透過率が、検出される前記環境光レベルに依存して調整され、
前記画像センサは、前記車両の少なくとも1人の搭乗者を識別するように構成されている
ことを特徴とするバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源と動作可能に結合され、且つ、前記車両の通信バスと動作可能に結合されたマイクロコントローラ
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記電気光学素子に隣接して配置されたディスプレイ
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項9または10に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記第4表面の近位に配置されている
ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記画像センサによって捕捉された前記画像データを呈示する
ことを特徴とする請求項11または12に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記補足された画像データは、前記車両の搭乗者の目に対応する
ことを特徴とする請求項9乃至13のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、780ナノメートルを超える波長を有する赤外線を放射する
ことを特徴とする請求項9乃至14のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 車両用のバックミラーアセンブリであって、
第1表面及び第2表面を含む第1基材、第3表面及び第4表面を含む第2基材、並びに、前記第2表面と前記第3表面との間に配置される電気光学媒体、を含む電気光学素子と、
前記電気光学素子を通して放射線を伝送するように構成された赤外線(IR)光源と、
前記電気光学素子の後方に配置されたディスプレイと、
前記電気光学素子を介して画像データを捕捉するように構成された画像センサと、
を備え、
前記画像センサは、車両搭乗者の所定の顔面特徴に基づいて運転者の注意力を監視するように構成されている
ことを特徴とするバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記第4表面の近位に配置されている
ことを特徴とする請求項16に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記画像センサによって捕捉された前記画像データを呈示する
ことを特徴とする請求項16または17に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記補足された画像データは、前記車両の搭乗者の目に対応する
ことを特徴とする請求項16乃至18のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記IR光源は、780ナノメートルを超える波長を有する赤外線を放射する
