Claims (4)
- 可撓性を有し、画像表示を行う表示領域と、額縁領域と、屈曲領域と、端子が設けられる端子領域とが、この順で並んで設けられ、位置合わせマークが前記額縁領域に設けられたフレキシブル基板を用意する工程と、
背面側から表示面側に貫通する切り欠き又は孔を有するスペーサを用意する工程と、
前記フレキシブル基板の背面側に、前記スペーサを配置する工程と、
前記スペーサの形状に沿うように前記屈曲領域を屈曲し、前記スペーサの背面側に前記端子領域を配置する工程と、
を含み、
前記スペーサを配置する工程において、前記フレキシブル基板の背面側から見て、前記切り欠き又は前記孔を介して前記位置合わせマークを読み取ることにより、前記フレキシブル基板に対する前記スペーサの位置合わせを行い、前記スペーサを前記フレキシブル基板の背面側に貼り付けることを特徴とする表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記スペーサの表示面側には、第1段差が形成されることにより他の領域よりも凹んだ第1底面が設けられ、
前記フレキシブル基板を用意する工程において、前記表示領域の背面側に第1補強フィルムを設け、
前記スペーサを配置する工程において、前記第1補強フィルムが前記第1段差に重ならないように、前記第1底面を前記第1補強フィルム上に配置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記スペーサの背面側には、第2段差が形成されることにより他の領域よりも凹んだ第2底面が設けられ、
前記フレキシブル基板を用意する工程において、前記端子領域の背面側に第2補強フィルムを設け、
前記スペーサの背面側に前記端子領域を配置する工程において、前記第2補強フィルムが前記第2段差に重ならないように、前記第2補強フィルムを前記第2底面上に配置することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記切り欠き又は前記孔は、少なくとも一対設けられており、
前記スペーサを配置する工程において、挟持具を用いて、一対の前記切り欠き又は前記孔に前記挟持具を嵌めることにより前記スペーサを挟持し、前記スペーサを移動することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置の製造方法。
