Description
The present invention relates to a natural enemy insect protection device. More specifically, in spite of being a simple device, it is possible to provide a habitat optimized not only for natural enemies that are natural enemies of pests, but especially for the habit of bait mites that feed natural enemies. TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a natural enemy insect protector capable of more effectively exterminating pests against plants, which can maintain the growth of bait mites for a long period of time and improve the colonization of natural enemy insects.
In recent years, IPM (Comprehensive Pest Management) focusing on natural enemies has been attracting attention. The IPM is a management method in which, for example, polyphagous phytoseiid mites such as blue-green mite, Swarsky phytoseiid mite, and kukumeris ixodid mite, which feed on pests to be controlled, such as spider mites and thrips, are used as natural enemy insects. On the other hand, natural enemy insects are known to proliferate when there is no or a small number of the above-mentioned pests serving as the original food, for example, when a so-called food mite is supplied as a substitute food, such as sugar mite or green acarid mite. ing. These bait mites are found as pests of preserved foods such as sugar, wheat flour, kinako, dried fruits or bonito flakes, and can be proliferated in large quantities. Therefore, theoretically, it is possible to reproduce a large amount of natural enemy insects by utilizing the bait mites. However, as described above, food mites are active in environments with sugar, flour, etc., which are different from the environment above growing crops, which is the place where pests act, which are natural foods for natural enemy insects. However, even if these bait mites were applied to crops together with natural enemies for the purpose of pest control, the activities of the natural enemies could not be sufficiently supported.
In the above case, in order to maintain the population of natural enemy insects, a method of adding these feeding mites on the crop has been considered, but it is complicated. In addition, the frequency of addition must be increased in combination with the control by chemical pesticides, which increases the cost. In order to solve such a problem, a method has been considered in which both natural enemy insects and prey insects serving as baits for natural enemy insects are housed in one device, and this device is installed in a crop cultivation field.
Specifically, for example, a container containing a moisturizer, water, a natural enemy insect, a prey insect serving as a bait for a natural enemy insect, a medium for cultivating a fungus serving as a bait for a prey insect, and a spawning substrate for a natural enemy insect. A natural enemy insect breeding device has been proposed (see Patent Document 1).
However, according to the study by the present inventors, the device disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a complicated configuration and is not practically easy to use, and in a large scale, the environment of natural enemy insects ( In terms of habitability, it was not always satisfactory. As a result of detailed examination of the cause, the present inventors have obtained the following findings. Natural enemy insects also have their habits, but especially bait mites serving as baits for natural enemy insects have a habit of preferring narrow spaces, and the device disclosed in Patent Document 1 is, first of all, devised in this regard. No, it was not suitable as a habitat that allowed the continuous multiplication of food mites.
Further, in the device disclosed in Patent Document 1, in order to maintain an appropriate humidity, when the drying is continued, the humidity is maintained by appropriately supplementing water on the device or from the water injection hole. Further, cotton-like pulp, sodium alginate, etc. are used as the moisturizing agent. However, if water is added to these moisturizing agents, water droplets are present in the apparatus in any case. On the other hand, in maintaining the proliferation of natural enemy insects, especially bait mites that feed on natural enemy insects, the presence of water droplets in their habitat must be avoided for the reasons described below. It was concluded that the device having the configuration as disclosed in Reference 1 is not suitable for maintaining the growth of bait mites in particular, and further study is necessary to realize the colonization of natural enemy insects for a long period of time. It was That is, for example, the mites such as the sugar mite, the green spider mite, and the mosquito mites, which serve as a feed for natural enemy insects such as the mite, have a habit of preferring water and collecting in the direction of water drops. On the other hand, since these mites have a very small body length of 0.3 to 0.5 mm, they will drown and die in water droplets, and in an environment where water droplets exist, the bait mites should be stably and reliably propagated and maintained. I found that I couldn't.
In addition, in IPM (Comprehensive Pest Management) that uses natural enemy insects, it is necessary to install a large number of natural enemy insect protection devices in a large crop cultivation field. It is desirable that the load (labor) applied to the operator is reduced as much as possible and the labor saving is achieved. From this point as well, after installing the device, if it is possible to release the natural enemy insects from the device continuously and stably for a longer period of time, it is not necessary to frequently replace the device, and the operator can replace the device. ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, although it is an apparatus of a very simple structure, the natural enemy insect and the protection apparatus of the natural enemy insect which can effectively protect the predatory mite which becomes the bait of the natural enemy insect from an environmental change are provided. To be done. More specifically, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a habitat optimized from the standpoint of IPM (Integrated Pest Management), particularly based on the habit of a bait mite that is an alternative bait to natural enemy insects, and to settle it. It is possible to maintain the growth and maintenance of bait mites for a long period of time by improving the sex, thereby improving the sedentary ability of natural enemy insects that prey on the bait mites that live in the device. A high protection against natural enemy insects is provided. Furthermore, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, by realizing an excellent natural enemy insect protection device as described above, since a living organism is used, it is extremely difficult to express its stable effect and maintain its effect. Provided is an economical and highly practical technique capable of stably exterminating harmful insects by natural enemy insects and reducing the load on an operator for installation work.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to preferred embodiments. With respect to the current state of the art as described above, the present inventors have made a detailed study of the behavior of the feeding mites that feed the natural enemy insects, and can reliably and stably grow the feeding mites for a longer period of time. If it is possible to complete a simple device capable of optimizing the habitat of bait mites, it is possible to continuously release natural enemy insects feeding bait mites from the device over a long period of time. With that in mind, we conducted a thorough study.
The present inventors have already used as a device for multiplying natural enemy insects that are natural enemies of pests, for use in agriculture to provide feeding grounds for spawning natural enemy insects, spawning places, and habitats for adults, For the horticulture, there is proposed a natural enemy insect protection device having a simple housing-like structure made of a paper or plastic sheet substrate in which natural enemy insects are housed (Patent No. 5681334). In this embodiment, the bag body, which is the accommodating portion for natural enemy insects, accommodates food mites as food necessary for the propagation of natural enemy insects together with rice bran, bran, and the like. The present inventors have confirmed that even with the device proposed above, natural enemy insects can be released continuously, and pest control can be carried out more simply and effectively than conventional devices, but it is more practical than the above. In order to achieve the object of the present invention, it has been recognized that it is necessary to establish a technique for more positively and reliably utilizing bait mites.
Based on the above recognition, the present inventors have earnestly studied to develop a more effective natural enemy insect protection device than the device already proposed by the present inventors. In the process, various changes were made to the internal shape of the housing made of paper or plastic sheet base material, and earnest studies were conducted to find the optimal habitat for not only natural enemy insects but also the feeding mites that feed them. It was As a result, it was found that the mites, which feed on natural enemy insects, have a habit of preferring particularly small spaces. Therefore, the inventors of the present invention, in the sealed space formed inside the main body of the housing, when arranging the storage portion in which the natural enemy insects and bait mites are stored in and out of the bag, The inner surface of the main body part that is formed, and the outer surface of the accommodating part was examined as a result of narrowing the distance between the two in a portion facing each other. It has been found that this will allow natural enemy pests to continue to live in enclosed spaces for longer periods of time.
And if there is a slight slit-like gap, natural enemy insects can easily enter and exit from the enclosed space, prey on the pests on the growing crops, and as a result, the IPM will continue to perform in good condition. I confirmed that it will be done. More specifically, the above-mentioned narrow space is at least 3.0 mm or less, preferably 2.0 mm or less, and even 1.0 mm or less as narrow as it is considered that the mites to be fed feel a wall around. It has been found that it is desirable for the space of intervals to exist in the habitat. For this reason, when a space of more than 3.0 mm is formed inside the sealed space in a state where the housing unit in which the natural enemy insects and bait mites are housed in and out is arranged inside the main body of the housing. It is preferable that a filling member for filling the gap is further arranged. By doing so, it is possible to provide a larger number of portions having a spacing of 3.0 mm or less in the habitat of natural enemy insects and bait mites, so that the proliferation of bait mites is particularly well maintained. As a result, the resident nature of natural enemy insects can be further improved. Details of this point will be described later.
In addition to the physical habitat described above, the present inventors considered that temperature and humidity are also important factors, and conducted a detailed study on this point as well. It is known that it is desirable to maintain an appropriate humidity in order to improve the habitat environment of the mites, which are natural enemy insects. For example, in the above-mentioned Patent Document 1, it is preferable to keep the humidity of the habitat of natural enemy insects at 55% or more by keeping the moisturizing state by including water in the moisturizing agent. On the other hand, according to the example of Patent Document 1, although it depends on the type of the moisturizer used, the humidity after one day was 99% RH even if sodium alginate, which has better humidity retention, was used. On the other hand, the humidity after 7 days decreased to 72% RH and decreased to 51% on the 14th day. On the other hand, in the technique of Patent Document 1, as a countermeasure, the moisturizer in the breeding apparatus is filled with water at intervals of about one week.
However, according to the study by the present inventors, as described above, when a bait mite such as a mites, which is a bait for natural enemy insects, is present in the device environment described in Patent Document 1, water is preferred. Based on the habit, it was found that it is difficult to stably maintain the growth of bait mites, in particular, because they collect in the injected water drops and drown in the water and die. Further, the above-mentioned technique compels the user to inject the moisturizing agent in the breeding apparatus with water at intervals of about one week, and there was a problem in practical use. In addition, as a result of further study, the mites such as sugar beet, Spodoptera chinensis, and Phytoseiidae which are food for natural enemy insects have higher humidity than natural enemy insects, specifically, humidity of 70% or more, more preferably humidity It has been found that a high humidity environment of 80% or more is particularly suitable as its habitat.
In response to the above-mentioned various findings, the present inventors have proposed a simple housing-like case made of a sheet base material made of paper or plastic in which a natural enemy insect is housed, which is proposed by the present inventors. A more detailed study was carried out on a natural enemy insect protection device having a structure (hereinafter referred to as a conventional device). As a result, the conventional device has a structure in which a relatively narrow space exists, but since it is not strongly aware of this point, it cannot be said that it is an optimal habitat space especially for bait mites. .. On the other hand, basically, it was found that the configuration shown in FIG. 1 described later can surely form a narrow space preferred by the feeding mites near the feeding place of the feeding mites. Specifically, the inner surface of the main body forming a closed space, and the space between the two in the portion where the outer surface of the accommodating portion in which the natural enemies insects and bait mites are accommodated so that they can enter and leave the bag, It is extremely effective to maintain the growth of the bait mites by having a portion having a length of 3.0 mm or less, more preferably 2.0 mm or less. In addition, as described above, a filling member for filling a gap of more than 3.0 mm formed inside the sealed space of the main body is arranged for the purpose of providing more portions having a gap of 3.0 mm or less. Preferably.
Furthermore, as a result of previously measuring the humidity in the conventional device proposed by the present inventors, the present inventors have stably maintained the humidity in the device at least 50% or more for at least one and a half months. I was sure that. On the other hand, in the conventional device, although the degree varies depending on the form, the invasion of water into the device was not taken into consideration. It was found that infiltration of water into the device is inevitable when water is sprinkled strongly or from multiple directions. From this, it is important to make the environment inside the device stable and maintain a higher humidity than the conventional device, and to make the device in which water does not enter even if water is sprinkled. Was recognized.
For that purpose, in order to prevent water from entering the device when sprinkled or when it rains, it is necessary to have at least a small opening for the natural enemy insects to enter and leave the environment, , It is necessary that the closed space where the feeding mites live is sealed as much as possible so that water droplets do not enter from the outside. Furthermore, in addition to the above-mentioned composition, in a closed space in which natural enemy insects and their feeding mites live, the humidity can be maintained at 70% or more, preferably 80% or more, further 85% or more, for at least 30 days. If constructed, the natural enemy insect can be stably released for a long period of time, and the natural enemy insect has a very high practical value. As a result of diligent study on this point, the inventors of the present invention, as much as possible, by placing a moisture-releasing material having a controlled release property in the sealed space of the main body of the sealed structure, the humidity in the sealed space is reduced to the above. It was found that the high humidity can be maintained for 30 days or more.
A super absorbent polymer developed for horticultural use is preferably used as the moisture retaining material having a slow moisture release property. This highly water-absorbent resin can be used in a simple method for the user, for example, by inserting it into the closed space of the main body while containing water. Despite such a simple use method, it is possible to maintain the humidity in the closed space where the feeding mites inhabit in the above-mentioned appropriate state. The use of such a super absorbent polymer is one of the desirable modes in the present invention.
Further, in the present invention, in addition to the super absorbent polymer, a form in which water or moisture is enclosed by a moisture permeable membrane that allows only water vapor to pass but not water can be effectively used. The water content referred to here is, for example, a water absorbent resin containing water, or the like configured to release water vapor through a moisture permeable film. The water-absorbing material used in this case may be a general-purpose water-absorbing resin or the above-mentioned highly water-absorbing resin developed for gardening. In addition to these, for example, naturally-derived substances such as agar, mannan, agar, gelatin, pectin, and the like, and gelling agents and thickeners made from these naturally-derived substances can also be used. That is, it is also possible to use a form in which water is contained in these and sealed in the moisture-permeable film as a moisture-retaining material having a slow-release property to be placed in the closed space of the main body. The above-mentioned super absorbent resin and moisture permeable film developed for horticultural use release moisture in the state of water vapor after enclosing water or moisture, and even if the bait mites that prefer water gather. , It is also possible for a feeding mite to walk on its surface, and it will never drown and die. The use of such a water retaining material is one of the important factors in providing a habitat in which the multiplication of prey mites is possible.
As a highly water-absorbent resin useful as a water-retaining material having a slow moisture release, a representative one is a polyacrylate crosslinked product, and these are also sold under the names such as crystal soil. Such products can be used in the invention. Specifically, commercially available products such as Aqua Pearl (trade name), Sunwet (trade name), and Jewel Polymer (trade name) sold by Taiso Sangyo Co., Ltd. can be used. These highly water-absorbent resins expand 100 times or more by adding water and can retain a large amount of water inside, while exhibiting a slow moisture release property. In the present invention, when a ball made of a highly water-absorbent resin is used, it is important to use it after draining water in a state of being expanded by adding water. The reason is that, as described above, if water droplets are present in the closed space, bait mites gather toward the water droplets and drown in the water droplets, so that stable growth cannot be maintained. It is possible to insert a ball made of a highly water-absorbent resin, which is in a state of being expanded by adding water, into the closed space of the main body as it is. Further, when using a plurality of balls made of a highly water-absorbent resin expanded by adding water, it is possible to insert them in a sealed space of the main body in a form of enclosing them in a moisture-permeable bag or the like. ..
As described above, in the present invention, it is required to maintain the humidity in the closed space of the main body at, for example, 70% or more for 30 days. For this purpose, it is important that the water retaining material arranged in the closed space of the main body part keeps appropriately releasing water vapor. Examples of the material of the highly water-absorbent resin (polymer compound) useful as a water retention material having such a function include those described above. Above all, it is more preferable to use a temperature-responsive polymer compound that exhibits functionality such that the release of water vapor is controlled according to the ambient temperature. Specifically, for example, it shows the functionality of releasing water vapor at a temperature around normal temperature or higher, and stopping the release of water vapor or absorbing moisture at a temperature lower than normal temperature, particularly at a temperature where dew condensation is concerned. Polymer compounds can be preferably used. As such a polymer compound, a commercially available product can be used, and moisture release, which is set for each product, with reference to a moisture absorption temperature, is applied to a target crop or a cultivation facility to which the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention is applied. It is preferable to appropriately select and use it according to the conditions and the like. At this time, it is also preferable to use a plurality of kinds of polymer compounds in combination.
As described above, a moisture-permeable film that allows only water vapor to pass through, and a water-retaining material in which water or water is sealed is used, and the moisture-retaining material is generated through the moisture-permeable film. By introducing water vapor to be introduced into the above-mentioned closed space, it is possible to maintain the humidity in the closed space of the main body of the sealed structure at a desired high humidity. 2 is a preferred embodiment of the protection device of FIG. In this case, the water retention material to be used is not limited to the above-mentioned super water-absorbent resin exhibiting slow moisture release property, and various water retention materials as exemplified above can be appropriately selected and used. Further, in the case of the above-mentioned form, for example, by appropriately adjusting the area and thickness of the moisture-permeable film and the material of the film, the humidity in the closed space of the main body can be adjusted to a desired state. ..
If a bag-shaped water retaining material containing water or moisture in a moisture-permeable film is used, for example, if it has a thin shape of about 0.5 to 10.0 mm, it can be attached to the inside of the main body. Is. In that case, when the protection device for natural enemies of the present invention is installed in a crop cultivation field, the work of inserting the water retaining material into the device can be omitted, so that the work efficiency at the time of installation is improved, etc. Useful in. As the bag-shaped water retaining material in which water or water is enclosed, for example, a material having a length of about 20 to 100 mm and a width of about 20 to 100 mm can be used. Here, when the bag-shaped water retaining material is used in a state of being attached to the inside of the main body portion, in order to avoid that steam is released before the protection device for the natural enemy insect of the present invention is installed in the crop cultivation field, It is effective to cover the bag portion made of a moisture permeable film with a moisture proof sheet or the like. With this configuration, by peeling off the moisture-proof sheet at the time of installation, it is possible to efficiently adjust the humidity in the closed space inside the protective device without loss. It should be noted that the use of the water-retaining material attached to the inside of the main body and covered with a moisture-proof sheet in this manner is not limited to the above-described form. For example, the water-absorbent superabsorbent resin may be directly attached to the inside of the main body without being enclosed in a moisture-permeable film, and may be used in a state covered with a moisture-proof sheet or the like. As the moisture permeable film that does not pass water and only water vapor used in the above, for example, a microporous polyolefin film or the like is desirable, and specifically, a moisture permeable film KFT (trade name) made by Mitsubishi resin Etc. can be used.
When the apparatus for protecting natural enemies of the present invention is installed and used in facilities such as greenhouses and greenhouses, humidity adjustment is usually not performed in these facilities. Therefore, in the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention, maintaining the humidity in the closed space of the main body within a desired range is extremely useful for stable release of natural enemy insects. According to the natural enemy insect protection apparatus of the present invention, the humidity in the closed space can be maintained at 70% or higher, preferably 80% or higher, more preferably 85% or higher for at least 30 days. The specific means varies depending on the size of the main body portion, the material used for the main body portion, and the like, and cannot be generally defined. For example, it can be realized by placing the water retention material in a closed space so that the weight of the water retention material is usually 0.8 to 20 g, and preferably 4 to 10 g in a state of containing water or water.
A configuration of a natural enemy insect protection device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the natural enemy insect protection device 10 of the present invention has the following structural features, thereby favorably proliferating prey mites that are food for natural enemy insects that are natural enemies of pests. It can be maintained, which can improve the settlement of natural enemy insects. That is, the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention is a bag-shaped or housing-shaped main body 11 having a sealed space inside, and a natural enemy insect and a bait mites disposed in the sealed space of the main body 11. And a storage portion 12 that stores the storage portion 12 so as to be able to move in and out, and has a portion in which the distance between the inner surface of the closed space of the main body portion 11 and the outer surface of the storage portion 12 is 3.0 mm or less, which face each other. It is characterized in that it is configured. In addition, the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 4, is configured such that a member 15 made of a moisture retaining material having a slow moisture release property is further arranged in the closed space of the main body 11, It will be more prominent. Hereinafter, each component will be described in detail.
(Main body 11)
The main body 11 that constitutes the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention has a bag shape or a housing shape having a space, and the housing shape includes, for example, a columnar shape (the bottom surface has an elliptical shape or a track shape). ), a prismatic shape (including one whose bottom surface is a triangle, a polygonal shape of a quadrangle or more), and the like. The size of the bottom surface is preferably, for example, about 10 to 50×30 to 100 mm when converted into a rectangle. The length of the main body is preferably about 80 to 300 mm, and the width is preferably about 70 to 200 mm. In addition, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the main body portion 11 having an enclosed space inside is formed by punching a sheet-shaped base material made of paper or plastic into a strip shape and assembling it into a housing shape having a space. It can be easily formed. The punching method and the assembling method are not particularly limited. It can also be formed by forming the main body 11 into a bag shape (not shown) and using a paper or plastic bag matching the size of the accommodating portion 12.
In this way, by making the shape of the main body 11 into a bag shape or a housing shape having a space, it is possible to improve the habitat of the accommodation section 12 to be described later, which is accommodated in the main body section 11. That is, since it is possible to form a closed space by sealing from the top of the main body to the side surface, it is possible to prevent water droplets from entering from the outside, keep humidity appropriately, and block light rays such as sun rays. It is possible to prevent high temperatures due to heat rays, provide a hiding place (shelter) for spraying chemical pesticides that have a strong effect on natural enemy mite, and prevent feeding damage such as mice and slugs. Such an effect is synergistically increased by being combined with the space relationship between the outer surface of the housing portion 12 and the inner surface of the main body portion 11, which will be described later.
The base material forming the main body portion 11 has elasticity and flexibility, and since it is often exposed to rain and dew, it has waterproofness and weather resistance, and may be made of a material that can be discarded as general waste. It is preferable (the same applies to the installation portion 13 to be described later, which is connected to the main body portion). For example, a synthetic paper and a paper whose surface is treated to be water repellent are preferable because the environmental load at the time of disposal is small. Specific examples include milk carton paper, coated cardboard, double-sided PE (polyethylene) film laminated paper, and the like. Further, it may be at least one kind of synthetic resin selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyethylene, polystyrene and polyurethane, a metal foil, or a non-woven fabric. Moreover, it is preferable to have a thickness of usually 0.01 to 2.0 mm, preferably 0.1 to 0.5 mm.
As shown in FIG. 1, it is preferable that the main body portion 11 has a release opening (gap) through which natural enemy insects can come out of the space, for the purpose of post-proliferation activity of the natural enemy insects. In addition, it is preferable that the gap is a small gap that natural enemies can pass through, and considering the risk of water invading inside due to water sprinkling etc., a slit-like thing located near the bottom surface of the lower part of the main body Is more preferable.
Specifically, it is preferable that the main body 11 is in the form of a housing having at least a front surface portion A, a rear surface portion B facing the front surface portion A, a bottom surface portion C, and a release opening D that form a closed space. For example, as shown in FIG. 1, the main body 11 has a housing shape, and a sealed space is formed by a sheet-shaped base material made of paper or plastic whose surface is treated to be water-repellent. The space has a front surface portion A, a rear surface portion B facing the front surface portion A, a bottom surface portion C, and a slit-shaped release mouth D through which natural enemy insects can move in and out. It is preferable that it is in a sealed state so that water droplets do not intrude into the closed space from the outside except the release port.
More specifically, the main body portion 11 having the configuration shown in FIG. 1 can be easily formed by assembling the developed view shown in FIG. 3 as follows. That is, the bottom surface portion C, the folds by bending at least one lower end of the front carboxymethyl over preparative Jomotozai constituting the front portion A, has been formed is bounded to the front portion A , the lower end of the front of the front carboxymethyl over preparative Jomotozai folding, a first minor arc shape convex downward, the shape of the folds, symmetrical with respect to the chord of the first minor arc-shaped, the upper The slit-shaped release opening D is formed at least at a portion where the bent lower end is in contact with the inner surface of the rear surface portion B, which is a second inferior arc shape having a convex shape.
More specifically, as shown in the developed view shown in FIG. 3, the main body 11 having the configuration shown in FIG. The front part A is formed in a convex first arc shape, and the front surface portion A is connected to both ends of the first arc shape and is a fold of an upward convex second arc shape that is symmetrical to the first arc shape. (E), the bottom surface portion C is about 90 degrees while sliding the lower end of the front surface portion A to the inner surface of the rear surface portion B with reference to the second arc-shaped fold of the front surface portion. It is formed by bending inward and extends from the fold line of the second arc shape to the sliding contact portion between the lower end of the front surface portion A and the inner surface of the rear surface portion B, and is formed in an elliptical shape in a bottom view, Further, the release port D is formed between the lower end of the front surface portion and the inner surface of the rear surface portion.
As shown in FIG. 5, it is also a preferred embodiment of the present invention to configure the portion where the bottom portion is provided as follows. In the protection device of natural enemy insects, shown in Figure 5, by further bending the bottom end of the cie over preparative Jomotozai constitute the rear surface portion B in the apparatus having the configuration illustrated in FIG. 1 described above, the main body portion 11 The bottom surface portion C′ is formed so as to overlap the bottom surface portion C that is provided subsequent to the front surface portion A that constitutes With this configuration, the slit-shaped release opening D formed along the edge of the bottom surface portion C that contacts the inner surface of the rear surface portion is not exposed to the outside due to the formation of the bottom surface portion C′. Like Therefore, according to the natural enemy insect protection device of the form shown in FIG. 5, for example, when water is sprayed on a plant, the device is provided through a slit-shaped release port D provided in the lower part of the natural enemy insect protection device 10. It becomes possible to more reliably prevent water droplets from entering the inside of the.
(Housing 12)
The accommodating portion 12 used in the present embodiment is arranged in the space of the main body portion 11. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 2, in order to secure an air passage in which natural enemy insects are housed so that they can enter and leave, for example, at least two through holes (openings of one or more predetermined size (Not shown), for example, a combination of a natural enemy insect and a bait mite, or a natural enemy insect and a bait mite, and a natural enemy in a 4-8×4-8 cm square or rectangular tea bag-shaped bag. It is preferably housed with a combination of insects and/or baits required for the growth of bait mites. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a supplementary feeding place for natural enemy insects, and in addition to the function of the main body 11 described above, for example, from a chemical pesticide that affects the survival of natural enemy insects. Additional shelters can be provided, etc.
Here, examples of the natural enemy insects include polyphagous phytoseiid mites such as Mycobacterium spp. In the present invention, at least bait mites (such as sugar cane mite, green spider mite, and mosquito mites) are used as baits for supporting the activity of natural enemy insects. More preferably, for example, in addition to the feeding mites (such as sugar cane, green spider mite, and mosquito mites), bran, sugar, etc. serving as the feeding mites may be used in combination. A moisturizing agent may be added to the inside of the accommodating portion 12, but as described above, the moisturizing agent used is preferably one that does not generate water droplets.
More specifically, as the accommodating part 12 used in the present invention, for example, about 250 to about 2,000 swallowski dust mites are used as bait mites, and 3.0 g of bran and 0 g of sugar are used. A mixture of 0.15 to 0.6 g can be mentioned. Moreover, you may use the product name "Swarski Plus" by Arista Life Science.
(In a closed space)
As described above, in the device for protecting natural enemies according to the embodiment of the present invention, the sealed space 14 is formed inside the main body portion 11 and the above-mentioned housing portion 12 is arranged therein. As described above, at that time, it is necessary that the space formed by the inner surface of the main body 11, the outer surface of the housing 12, and the inner surface of the main body has a portion of 3.0 mm or less. It is preferable that the gap is 2.0 mm or less, more preferably 1.0 mm or less so that the portions are formed as narrow as possible. It should be noted that this interval can be adjusted when the accommodation portion 12 is inserted into the main body portion 11. This distance can be measured using a caliper, a digital caliper or a gap gauge.
In the preferred embodiment of the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention as described above, the closed space 14 is swollen with water as the above-mentioned moisture-releasing material having a slow moisture release property, for example, as shown in FIG. It is preferable to accommodate the granular super absorbent resin 15. By doing so, it is possible to extremely easily maintain the humidity in the closed space 14 at 70% or more for 30 days or more, and further at 80% or more for 30 days or more. In the present invention, the configuration is not limited to the above, and for example, a sheet-shaped superabsorbent resin swollen with water may be arranged in the closed space 14, or a sheet-shaped superabsorbent polymer swollen with water. It is also effective to make the resin into a bag and arrange the housing portion 12 therein (both not shown).
As a natural enemy insect protection device according to another embodiment of the present invention, the main body portion, having a sealed space inside, and having a release opening to the outside of the natural enemy insect, at least inside the main body portion. A bag-shaped member (not shown) made of a water-retaining material having a controlled moisture release property is formed in the formed enclosed space, and the container 12 in which the natural enemy insects and food mites are housed therein can be arranged therein. It may be configured as. In this case, as the material forming the bag-shaped main body, the outer surface is made water repellent, and the material forming the inner surface of the inner bag body is made to be a water-retaining material exhibiting sustained moisture release. It costs. With this configuration, the sealed space formed inside the bag body allows natural enemy insects to enter and exit from the outside, water does not enter when water is sprinkled on the main body, and the humidity is 70% or more. It can be maintained for more than 30 days.
In addition, in the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention, in order to have a large number of portions in which the distance between the inner surface of the main body 11 and the outer surface of the accommodating portion 12 inside the sealed space 14 is 3.0 mm or less, If necessary, a filling member for filling a gap formed inside the closed space 14 in which the housing portion 12 is arranged can be further arranged. Examples of the filling member include felt, skimmer sheet, hemp-wrapping sheet, wool, twine, handicraft cotton, absorbent cotton, and the like. These members can be used by filling them in the gap or by sandwiching the accommodating portion 12. The size of the filling member to be used is about 50 to 200 mm×50 to 200 mm and the thickness is about 1 to 10 mm if it is a sheet like felt, and it is a string or a lump like wool or cotton. If so, the size can be appropriately adjusted so as to fill the gap. When a member that fills such a gap is used, for example, it can serve as a spawning site for food mites, maintain the growth of food mites, and thus have an excellent effect in improving the colonization of natural enemy insects.
(Installation section 13)
As shown in FIG. 1, the natural enemy insect protection device 10 of the present invention is installed for installation on the branches and leaves (not shown) of a crop, which is connected to the main body 11 and should be protected from the harmful insects to be installed. It is preferable to further include the portion 13. With the installation unit 13, it is possible to directly and easily hang it on the branches and leaves that are installation targets. Depending on the mode of use, for example, it may be installed on the branches and leaves of a crop to be protected from harmful insects without using the installation unit 13. In the natural enemy insect protection device 10 shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the inside of the main body portion 11 is used by using the installation portion 13 that is integrally provided following the sheet forming the rear surface portion B forming the main body portion 11. The enclosed space is sealed so that water droplets do not enter even if water is sprinkled. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 3, a portion (a), which is a margin portion provided continuously to the rear surface portion B constituting the main body portion 11, is bent inward, and the main body portion 11 is attached to the portion (a). (B) of the inner wall of the side end of the front surface portion A constituting the above is overlapped and glued, and then the installation portion 13 and the main body portion of the installation portion 13 provided subsequent to the rear surface portion B constituting the main body portion 11 are provided. 11, the installation portion 13 is bent toward the front surface portion A side of the main body portion 11 at the position of the broken line at the boundary between the front surface portion A and the belt portion (c) shown in FIG. The installation portion 13 is bent again at the position of the broken line so as to overlap the upper end portion (d) of the above, and the overlapped portion is fixed with an adhesive or a stapler or the like. By doing so, as shown in FIG. 2, it is possible to form a sealed space in which the upper portion is firmly sealed particularly inside the main body 11. Further, as described above, the manufacturing method is extremely simple and practical in this respect.
As the installation portion 13, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, it has a substantially quadrangular shape, and except for the upper side of the quadrangular shape, the other three sides penetrate the portion connected to the base material of the main body portion 11. A continuous cut is formed, and the cuts on the two left and right sides among the cuts on the other three sides have a sawtooth shape that is symmetrical or asymmetrical to each other, and a cut on the three sides with the upper side of the square shape left. By separating the base material, a tongue piece that can removably sandwich the installation target with the base material can be formed.
(Method of manufacturing natural enemy insect protection device)
When the natural enemy insect protection device 10 of the present invention has a housing shape, for example, a sheet-shaped base material made of plastic or paper is punched out in a strip shape in accordance with a development view shown in FIG. The main body 11 is formed by assembling it into a housing having the housing 11, and the housing 12 is inserted and arranged, so that the natural enemy insect protection device 10 can be easily manufactured. The same applies to the case of a bag. As the product, for example, in the case of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 or 5, a sheet-shaped product in which only the bottom portion C is not assembled, and a storage portion 12 in which at least natural enemy insects and bait mites are stored. And a ball-shaped highly water-absorbent resin before being swollen with water, if necessary, are preferably combined. With this configuration, the operator simply inserts the accommodating portion 12 and the ball-shaped superabsorbent resin that has been swollen with water and drained into the main body portion 11 from the bottom surface portion C side. Then, only by assembling the bottom surface portion C after that, a useful natural enemy insect protection device 10 that can obtain the effects of the present invention can be obtained.
As another product, a bag-shaped water retaining material obtained by enclosing water or water in a moisture-permeable film in a thin shape is used instead of the ball-shaped super absorbent resin. As described above, in this case, it is also possible to use the bag-shaped water retaining material inside the main body 11 in advance. In this way, a worker simply inserts the housing portion 12 into the main body portion 11 from the bottom surface portion C side and then assembles only the bottom surface portion C, which is a useful natural enemy that can obtain the effects of the present invention. The insect protection device 10 can be obtained more easily.
Below, the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention will be described more specifically using examples. The present invention is not limited by the following examples.
(Example 1)
The natural enemy insect protection device 10 shown in FIG. 1 was produced as follows. First, a sheet-like base material made of paper having a thickness of 0.4 mm and having a water-repellent treatment was punched into a strip shape to prepare a sheet-like base material as shown in the development view of FIG. 3 before assembly. . The dotted line in FIG. 3 indicates the position where the accommodating portion 12 that accommodates the natural enemy insect and the bait mites in and out of the bag is arranged, and the broken line indicates the bending position. The sheet-shaped base material in the unfolded state prepared above was assembled by the following procedure to obtain the natural enemy insect protection device of this embodiment shown in FIG.
A part (a), which is a margin portion provided continuously to the rear surface portion B constituting the body portion 11 shown in FIG. 3, is bent inward, and the front surface constituting the body portion 11 is formed at the portion (a). The portion (b) of the inner wall at the side end of the portion A is overlapped and glued. Next, at the position of the broken line at the boundary between the installation portion 13 and the main body portion 11 of the installation portion 13 that is provided following the rear surface portion B constituting the main body portion 11, the installation portion 13 is moved to the main body portion 11 Is bent toward the front surface portion A side, and further, the installation portion 13 is bent again at the position of the broken line so that only the strip-shaped portion (c) shown in FIG. 3 overlaps the upper end portion (d) of the front surface portion A. (See FIG. 2) Then, the overlapping portion is fixed with an adhesive or a stapler. By doing so, assembly was performed so that a space was formed inside the main body 11. Then, after the accommodating portion 12 is inserted into this space, the portion indicated by the broken line (e) shown in FIG. 3 is bent about 90 degrees toward the rear surface portion B side forming the main body portion 11 to form a bottom surface portion. C was formed and assembled into the housing shape shown in FIG.
The main body 11 thus formed had a length of 160 mm, a width of 70 mm, and a maximum depth of 20 to 30 mm. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the formed main body portion 11 is defined by the front surface portion A and the folded folds, and the bottom surface portion C formed of a sheet integrated with the front surface portion is formed. A slit-shaped release opening D is formed in a portion where the arc-shaped end portion of is in contact with the rear surface portion B that constitutes the main body portion 11.
In the accommodating portion 12 inserted into the space of the main body portion 11, a tea bag-shaped bag body having a size of 60 to 70 mm, 250 to 300 heads of Swarski's mite mite, bait mites (sugar mites), and bran respectively, and 1000 .About.2000 heads, 3.0 g were used. Further, at the time of housing, the inner surface of the closed space forming the main body 11 and the outer surface of the housing 12 are arranged with a certain distance so as to be arranged in the housing 12 above the main body 11. The area of 3.0 mm or less was formed. It was partially confirmed that there was a portion of 1.0 mm or less.
Five of the natural enemy insect protection devices 10 produced as described above were hung on the branches of the mango tree by the installation section 13 per tree. Observing the inside of the device, the number of Swarski mites (adults, larvae) and the number of eggs, and the number of sugar beet mites (feeding larvae), which are food mites, were observed outside the housing 12 and inside the main body 11. The number of eggs was counted. The results are shown in Table 1.
Each of the numbers in Table 1 is a cumulative total of the number of individuals or the number of eggs observed on the 6th, 12th and 19th days after the installation of the natural enemy insect protection device 10, This is the average value of the protection device 10. It can be seen that the sugar mite, which is a feeding mite that supports the activity of the Swarski mosquito mite, lays eggs in the main body portion 11, and that the sugar mite released from the housing portion 12 is active in the main body portion 11 of the protection device 10.
(Example 2)
A housing-shaped main body 11 of the natural enemy insect protection device 10 shown in FIG. 1 was formed in the same manner as in Example 1. In this example, the accommodating part 12 similar to that used in Example 1 is inserted into the closed space 14 of the main body 11 and arranged in the same state as in Example 1, and the spawning part (vertical part) is also used. A felt (not shown) having a size of 100 mm×width 50 mm×thickness 1 mm (not shown) was inserted so as to face the accommodation portion 12. The bottom surface portion C was produced by bending the portion (e) by about 90 degrees as in the case of Example 1.
One of the prepared natural enemy insect protection devices was hung by the installation unit 13 on each branch of the mandarin orange of Wenzhou. The inside of this device was observed, and the number of Swarski mite mites (adult larvae) and the number of sugar beet mites (adult larvae) observed outside the housing 12 and inside the main body 11 were counted. The results are shown in Table 2.
All the numbers in Table 2 are cumulative numbers of individuals observed on the 4th day, 10th day and 19th day after the installation of the natural enemy insect protection device. It is an average value.
(Example 3)
The main body 11 of the natural enemy insect protection device 10 is assembled in the same manner as in the case of the second embodiment, and is housed in the closed space 14 of the main body 11 in the same manner as in the second embodiment. The spawning part was inserted so that the part 12 and the accommodation part 12 faced each other. In the present embodiment, a highly water-absorbent resin (spherical, having a diameter of about 1 cm when absorbing water), which has been preliminarily absorbed by water and drained off the water on the surface, is provided in the closed space 14 of the main body 11 per protection device. Three pieces were inserted into the bottom of the device (see FIG. 4), and the portion (e) was bent to form a bottom surface portion C. After that, the natural enemy insect protection device 10 produced as described above was hung by the installation portion 13 on each tree branch of the mandarin orange of Wenzhou, one per tree. The inside of this device was observed, and the number of Swarski mite mites (adult larvae) and the number of sugar beet mites that were food mites (adult larvae) were observed outside the housing part 12 and inside the main body part 11. The results are shown in Table 3.
All the numbers in Table 3 are cumulative numbers of individuals observed on the 4th, 10th and 19th days after the installation of the natural enemy insect protection device. It is an average value.
(Example 4)
The main body 11 of the natural enemy insect protection device 10 was assembled in the same manner as in Example 2. At that time, in the closed space 14 of the main body 11, a container 12 similar to that used in Example 1 and a bag in which water is sealed with a moisture permeable film (trade name: moisture permeable film KFT/Mitsubishi resin). The water-retaining material having a circular shape was inserted and the portion (e) was bent to form the bottom surface portion C. The water-retaining material used had a weight of 8 g in a water-containing state, and its size was 80 mm in length and 40 mm in width, and the maximum value of thickness was 5 mm. The thus-prepared natural enemy insect protection device can be used in the same manner as in the third embodiment, and exhibits excellent resident property of the natural enemy insect.
