Claims (4)
- 放射性物質で汚染された廃棄物を加熱する加熱装置と、
前記加熱によって揮発した放射性物質を回収する回収装置と、
前記加熱装置から排出された焼成物が供給され、該焼成物から発せられる放射線量を測定する測定装置と、
前記加熱装置から排出された焼成物を前記測定装置に供給せずに系外へ排出するバイパスルートとを備えることを特徴とする放射性物質で汚染された廃棄物の処理装置。 - 前記測定装置は、
前記加熱装置から排出された焼成物を受け入れるタンクと、
該タンク内に設けられて放射線を検出する検出器と、
放射線検出後に前記タンク内に残留した焼成物を該タンクから排出する空気を前記タンク内に吹き込むエアパージ手段とを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の放射性物質で汚染された廃棄物の処理装置。 - 放射性物質で汚染された廃棄物を加熱装置を用いて加熱し、該加熱によって揮発した放射性物質を回収すると共に、前記加熱により得られた焼成物を測定装置に供給して該焼成物から発せられる放射線量を測定するにあたり、
前記加熱により得られた焼成物の放射性物質濃度が所定値以上の焼成物を前記測定装置に供給せずに系外へ排出することを特徴とする放射性物質で汚染された廃棄物の処理方法。 - 前記加熱装置において所定温度以下で焼成された焼成物、前記加熱装置における火止め後に該加熱装置から排出された焼成物、又は前記測定装置の前段で測定した放射性物質濃度が前記所定値以上の焼成物を前記測定装置に供給せずに系外へ排出することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の放射性物質で汚染された廃棄物の処理方法。
