Description
本願は、2014年6月27日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/018,345号の優先権および利益を主張するものであり、その開示内容の全体が、すべての目的のために参照により本明細書に援用される。
上述したものと類似するコンタクトプローブを備えるハンドピースを用いた最初の試験を、シンガポールのNational University Hospitalで実施した。試験では、上述したものと類似する治療処置を、多数の緑内障眼に対し実施した。この最初の試験では、パルスレーザーエネルギーを用いた前述のハンドピースおよび治療処置で治療した緑内障眼を約6ヶ月間追跡した。
上述したものと類似するコンタクトプローブを備えるハンドピースを用いた同様の試験を、同じくシンガポールのNational University Hospitalで実施した。試験では、上述したものと類似するパルスレーザーエネルギーを用いた治療処置を、多数の緑内障眼に対し実施した。この試験では、治療した眼を最長18ヶ月間追跡した。
Claims (10)
- 眼の一部を治療する治療用プローブであって、
近位端と遠位端とを有するハンドルを画定する細長い本体と;
前記細長い本体の前記遠位端に連結される接触部材であって、前記眼の表面に連結する
凸状の接触面を含む接触部材と;
治療用ファイバーであって、前記細長い本体に沿って伸び、かつ前記治療用ファイバー
の遠位端から前記眼に治療用レーザーを送達するよう構成される治療用ファイバーと
を含み、
前記凸状の接触面の曲率半径が、5〜50mmである、
治療用プローブ。 - 前記凸状の接触面は半径が12mm未満である、請求項1に記載の治療用プローブ。
