Claims (20)

前記第1の副画素電極は、第1の方向に沿って互いに平行に延びる第1の辺及び第4の辺と、前記第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向に沿って互いに平行に延びる第2の辺及び第3の辺を含むひし形形状を有する第1の部分と、前記第1の部分から前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向に延出する複数の第1の枝電極と、を備え、
前記第2の副画素電極は、前記第1の枝電極の周りを取り囲むように前記第1の辺、前記第2の辺、前記第3の辺及び前記第4の辺に沿って形成されている第2の部分と、前記第2の部分から前記第1の枝電極に面する側と反対側に前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向に延出する複数の第2の枝電極と、を備え、
前記第1の副画素電極の前記複数の第1の枝電極は、前記第1の辺から前記第2の方向に沿って延びている第1の微細枝部及び前記第4の辺から前記第2の方向に沿って延びている第4の微細枝部と、前記第2の辺から前記第1の方向に沿って延びている第2の微細枝部及び前記第3の辺から前記第1の方向に沿って延びている第3の微細枝部とを備え、
前記第2の副画素電極の前記複数の第2の枝電極は、前記第2の方向に沿って延びている第5の微細枝部及び第8の微細枝部と、前記第1の方向に沿って延びている第6の微細枝部及び第7の微細枝部とを備え、
前記第1の副画素電極に印加される第1の電圧と前記共通電極に印加される共通電圧との差分は、前記第2の副画素電極に印加される第2の電圧と前記共通電圧との差分よりも大きい液晶表示装置。 - 前記第2の副画素電極の前記第2の部分は、複数の四角形が合わせられた平面状を有する
請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向を基準として測定した前記第1の副画素電極と前記第2の副画素電極との間の間隔が4μm以下であり、前記第1の副画素電極に印加される電圧に対する第2の副画素電極に印加される電圧の割合は、0.83以下である請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向を基準として測定した前記第1の副画素電極と前記第2の副画素電極との間の間隔が4μmよりも大きく且つ4.5μm以下であり、前記第1の副画素電極に印加される電圧に対する第2の副画素電極に印加される電圧の割合は、0.75以下である請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向を基準として測定した前記第1の副画素電極と前記第2の副画素電極との間の間隔が5μm以上であり、前記第1の副画素電極に印加される電圧に対する第2の副画素電極に印加される電圧の割合は、0.7以下である請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向を基準として測定した前記第1の副画素電極の前記第1の部分の前記第1の辺、前記第2の辺、前記第3の辺及び前記第4の辺の長さの1/2は、25μm以下である請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向を基準として測定した前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向に対して垂直な前記第2の副画素電極の前記第2の部分の最大幅は、25μm以下である請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記複数の第1の枝電極及び前記複数の第2の枝電極の最大の長さは、25μm以下である請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1の副画素電極の前記第1の部分の周縁は、ゲート線と45°又は135°の角度をなすか、あるいは、45°よりも大きいかあるいは135°よりも小さい角度をなす請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
