Description

−犬の体重1kg当たり0.5gの羽毛粉として25%の羽毛加水分解物(プロタミン、BCF)

統計的分析
SASバージョン9.3ソフトウェア(米国ノースカロライナ州ケーリー所在のSAS Institute Inc.)の混合手順を用いてデータを分析した。固定効果は、2つの水準(サプリメントを与えられた群/対照群)における群効果、生理的パラメータの16個の水準(T0、T1、T1+10分、T1+20分、T1+30分、T2、T3、T3+10分、T3+20分、T3+30分、T4、T5、T5+10分、T5+20分、T5+30分、T6)または血液パラメータの4つの水準(T0、T4、T5、T6)におけるチェックポイント効果、および群効果×チェックポイント効果の交互作用とした。分析を調節するための、統計的モデルにおける共変量として、全力疾走のタイムを、全力疾走のパフォーマンスに追加した。インターロイキン10の分析では、具体的には、T0における群内のインターロイキン10の値を共変量として追加した。
結果
炎症、酸化ストレス、および筋損傷に対する効果を確認するために、最初の運動の前(T0)、最後の運動の前(T4:最初の2回の運動を含む)、最後の運動の終了時(T5)、および最後の運動の1時間後(T6)の4回の採血を行った。
筋損傷
これらの結果は、サプリメントを与えることによって、複数のマーカーを用いて測定された筋損傷が低減されたことを示している。
炎症

酸化ストレス

結果/考察
これらの結果は、各運動後に本発明の食品をサプリメントとして犬に与えることにより、犬の次のパフォーマンスが改善されると共に、各運動後の回復が改善されることを示した。本発明の組成物をサプリメントとして与えられた犬から採取した血液サンプル中の筋損傷、炎症、および酸化ストレスに関係するバイオマーカーは、運動後にサプリメントを与えられなかった犬と比較して低減されることが示された。更に、犬の体温も低下することが示された。

5.乾燥物として10〜50%の前記羽毛加水分解物を含む、実施態様1〜4のいずれかに記載の用途の食品。
6.乾燥物として50〜90%の加水分解された炭水化物を含む、実施態様1〜5のいずれかに記載の用途の食品。
7.前記羽毛加水分解物と前記加水分解された炭水化物との割合が5:1〜1:10である、実施態様2〜6のいずれかに記載の用途の食品。
8.犬の体重1kg当たり、前記羽毛加水分解物を0.1〜1g含む量の範囲内で犬に投与される、実施態様1〜7のいずれかに記載の用途の食品。
9.犬の体重1kg当たり、前記加水分解された炭水化物を0.5〜4g含む量の範囲内で犬に投与される、実施態様2〜7のいずれかに記載の用途の食品。
10.犬の運動後に犬に投与される、実施態様1〜9のいずれかに記載の用途の食品。
11.犬の運動中のパフォーマンスを改善し、および/または運動後の回復を改善する方法であって、羽毛加水分解物を含む食品を犬に投与することを含む方法。
12.前記食品が、加水分解された炭水化物を更に含む、実施態様11記載の方法。
13.前記加水分解された炭水化物が、マルトデキストリン、デキストロース、またはそれらの組み合わせである、実施態様12記載の方法。

20.前記食品が、犬の運動後に犬に投与される、実施態様11〜19のいずれかに記載の方法。

Claims (5)
- 犬の運動中のパフォーマンスを改善しおよび/または運動後の回復を改善する方法であって、乾燥物として10〜50%の羽毛加水分解物および乾燥物として50〜90%の加水分解された炭水化物を含む食品を犬に投与することを含み、前記羽毛加水分解物と前記加水分解された炭水化物との割合が、1:1〜1:9であり、前記加水分解された炭水化物が、単糖、マルトース、デキストロース、フルクトース、マルトデキストリンまたはそれらの組み合わせからなり、前記食品を犬の運動前および/または後1時間以内に投与する、方法。
- 犬の体重1kg当たり前記羽毛加水分解物を0.1〜1g含む量の範囲内で、前記食品が犬に投与される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 犬の体重1kg当たり前記加水分解された炭水化物を0.5〜4g含む量の範囲内で、前記食品が犬に投与される、請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 前記食品が、犬の運動後に犬に投与される、請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記加水分解された炭水化物が、マルトデキストリン、デキストロース、またはそれらの組み合わせである、請求項1から4いずれか1項記載の方法。
