Description
液体試料を、試料調製装置の多孔質担体と接触させる工程であって、この装置が、
第1の開口部及び第2の開口部を含む、ケーシングと、
多孔質担体とを備え、
多孔質担体が、第1の所定の場所に試料受け入れ区域を備えると共に第2の所定の場所に標的細胞結合区域を備えており、この多孔質担体が、試料受け入れ区域から標的細胞結合区域を通って延びる、第1の流体経路を画定し、
多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分が、ケーシング内に配設され、
第2の流体経路が、第1の開口部から第2の開口部にケーシングを貫通して延び、この第2の流体経路が、多孔質担体と標的細胞結合区域で交差している、工程と、
液体試料の少なくとも一部分が、多孔質担体を通って、試料受け入れ区域から標的細胞結合区域に向けて、長手方向に移動することを可能にする工程と、
その液体の少なくとも一部分が、標的細胞結合区域まで移動した後に、分離部材を付勢して、第1の開口部から第2の開口部へと、第2の流体経路を通過させることにより、標的細胞結合区域の一部分を排出する工程と、
その標的細胞結合区域の一部分、又はその部分から放出された細胞を処理して、標的微生物の兆候を検出する工程とを含む、方法である。
液体試料を、試料調製装置の多孔質担体と接触させる工程であって、この装置が、
第1の開口部及び第2の開口部を含む、ケーシングと、
多孔質担体とを備え、
多孔質担体が、第1の所定の場所に試料受け入れ区域を備えると共に第2の所定の場所に標的細胞結合区域を備えており、この多孔質担体が、試料受け入れ区域から標的細胞結合区域を通って延びる、第1の流体経路を画定し、
多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分が、ケーシング内に配設され、
第2の流体経路が、第1の開口部及び第2の開口部からケーシングを貫通して延び、この第2の流体経路が、多孔質担体と標的細胞結合区域で交差している、工程と、
液体試料の少なくとも一部分が、多孔質担体を通って、試料受け入れ区域から標的細胞結合区域に向けて、長手方向に移動することを可能にする工程と、
その液体の少なくとも一部分が、標的細胞結合区域に移動した後に、放出溶液を付勢して第2の流体経路を通過させることにより、第2の流体経路内に標的微生物が存在する場合には、その標的微生物を含む放出溶液の一部を、装置から排出する工程と、
その放出溶液の一部を処理して、標的微生物の兆候を検出する工程とである、方法である。
内部、第1の開口部、及び第2の開口部を含む、ケーシングと、
試料受け入れ区域及び標的細胞結合区域を含む、多孔質担体とを備え、
多孔質担体が、試料受け入れ区域から標的細胞結合区域に延びる、第1の流体経路を画定し、
多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分が、ケーシングの内部に配設され、
中心軸線を備える第2の流体経路が、第1の開口部及び第2の開口部からケーシングを貫通して延び、この第2の流体経路が、多孔質担体と標的細胞結合区域で交差し、
中心軸線が、第1の流体経路に直交する向きである、装置である。
Claims (4)
- 標的微生物を検出する方法であって、
液体試料を試料調製装置の多孔質担体と接触させる工程であって、前記試料調製装置は、
第1の開口部及び第2の開口部を含むケーシングと、
前記多孔質担体と、を備え、
前記多孔質担体は、第1の所定の場所に試料受け入れ区域を備えると共に第2の所定の場所に標的細胞結合区域を備えており、前記多孔質担体は、前記試料受け入れ区域から前記標的細胞結合区域を通って延びている第1の流体経路を画定し、
前記多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分は、前記ケーシング内に配設され、
第2の流体経路は、前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部まで前記ケーシングを貫通して延び、前記第2の流体経路は、前記標的細胞結合区域で前記多孔質担体と交差している、工程と、
前記液体試料の少なくとも一部分が、前記多孔質担体を通って、前記試料受け入れ区域から前記標的細胞結合区域に向けて、長手方向に移動することを可能にする工程と、
前記液体の前記少なくとも一部分が前記標的細胞結合区域まで移動した後に、分離部材を付勢して、前記第2の流体経路を前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部へと通過させることにより、前記標的細胞結合区域の一部分を排出させる工程と、
前記標的細胞結合区域の前記一部分、又は前記一部分から放出された細胞を処理して、前記標的微生物の兆候を検出する工程と、を含む、方法。 - 前記第2の開口部の近位に容器を位置決めする工程を更に含み、前記標的細胞結合区域の一部分を排出する工程は、前記容器内に、前記標的細胞結合区域の前記一部分を移動させる工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 内部、第1の開口部、及び第2の開口部を含むケーシングと、
試料受け入れ区域及び標的細胞結合区域を含む多孔質担体と、
前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部まで、第2の流体経路を貫通するような寸法にされた分離部材であって、前記第2の流体経路は、中心軸線を備えるとともに、前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部まで前記ケーシングを通じて延び、前記分離部材の一部分は、前記第2の流体経路内に摺動可能に係合されている、分離部材と、を備える装置であって、
前記多孔質担体は、前記試料受け入れ区域から前記標的細胞結合区域まで延びる第1の流体経路を画定し、
前記多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分は、前記ケーシングの前記内部に配設され、
前記第2の流体経路は、前記標的細胞結合区域で前記多孔質担体と交差し、
前記中心軸線は、前記多孔質担体に直交する向きである、装置。 - 請求項3に記載の装置と、核酸増幅用の試薬とを備えているキット。
