Description
Claims (6)
- 内燃機関の燃料噴射装置の燃料ポンプ(10)であって、
前記燃料ポンプ(10)が、圧縮チャンバ(16)を規定する軸方向孔(14)が設けられたハウジング(12)を有し、前記燃料ポンプ(10)には、前記軸方向孔(14)内にスライド可能に配置されたシリンダ状ピストン(18)がさらに設けられ、前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)が、高圧末端を規定する、前記軸方向孔(14)の内部の最上末端から、低圧末端を規定する下側末端まで延在し、前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)が、燃料が入口を介して前記圧縮チャンバ(16)に低圧で入る下側位置(PL)と、前記圧縮チャンバ(16)内に存在する燃料が出口を介して放出される前に加圧される最上位置(PT)と、の間で往復スライドすることができ、
前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)には、その高圧末端上に配置された拡張手段(20,22,24)が設けられ、前記拡張手段(20,22,24)が、前記圧縮チャンバ(16)内の燃料が加圧されるときに前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)が径方向に広がることを可能にし、
前記拡張手段が、前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)の最上面上に設けられた凹所(20)であり、前記凹所(20)が、前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)と一体的な周壁(22)によって囲まれており、
前記拡張手段が、加圧燃料が圧力低下して低圧回路に向かって流れることを可能にする圧力低下機構(28,30)をさらに備え、前記圧力低下機構(28,30)の配置が、前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)の前記周壁(22)の一部分が燃料圧力を受けて広がることを制限することを特徴とする燃料ポンプ(10)。 - 前記凹所(20)が、シリンダ状容積を規定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料ポンプ(10)。
- 前記拡張手段が、前記シリンダ状ピストンの最上面から延在する円形溝(24)であり、前記円形溝(24)が、前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)と一体的な周壁(22)によって囲まれていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料ポンプ(10)。
- 前記圧力低下機構(28,30)が、前記周壁(22)のシリンダ状外面上に配置されたリング溝(28)と、前記低圧回路に向かって前記リング溝(28)から延在する燃料経路(30)と、を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料ポンプ(10)。
- 前記燃料経路が、前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)の前記シリンダ状外面上に配置された平面を備えていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の燃料ポンプ(10)。
- 前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)の直径が、前記リング溝(28)の下方よりも前記リング溝(28)の上方で大きく、このため、前記シリンダ状ピストン(18)と前記軸方向孔(14)との間の間隙が、前記リング溝(28)の下方で大きく増大して、前記リング溝(28)内の加圧燃料が前記低圧回路に向かって流れる前記燃料経路(30)を作り出すことを特徴とする請求項4又は5に記載の燃料ポンプ(10)。
