Description
「配合物」、「ポリマー配合物」などの用語は、2つ以上のポリマーの組成物を意味する。このような配合物は、混和性であっても混和性でなくてもよい。このような配合物は、相分離されても相分離されなくてもよい。このような配合物は、透過電子分光法、光散乱法、X線散乱法、及び当技術分野において既知の任意の他の方法から決定されるように、1つ以上のドメイン構成を含有しても含有しなくてもよい。配合物は、積層物ではなく、積層物の1層以上の層が配合物を含有してもよい。
コア成分は、層Aと層Bとの10〜50,000層の交互ストライプを含む。「ストライプ」(または「ストライプ状」)という用語は、フィルム層がフィルムの幅寸法に沿って並んで配置される多層フィルム構造である。ストライプ状多層フィルムは、「積層型」層構造を有する多層フィルムとは異なり、これを除外する。図1は、積層型層構造を有する多層フィルムを示す。積層型層は、図1の多層フィルム構造の幅寸法Wに沿って、互いの上部に配置されたものである。積層型多層フィルムを平面図から眺めるとき、単一のフィルム層(すなわち、最上部のフィルム層)のみが見える。図2は、ストライプ状層構造を有する多層フィルムを示す。ストライプ状層は、図2のフィルムの幅寸法Wに沿って並んで配置される。ストライプ状多層フィルムを平面図から眺めるとき、複数のフィルム層が見える。図3は、押出機を出るストライプ状多層フィルムを示す。
本多層フィルムのコア成分は、層Aと層Bとの10〜50,000層の交互ストライプを含む。層Aは、1つ以上のフィルム材料からなる。「フィルム材料」は、所望のフィルム特性をコア成分に付与するポリマーである。フィルム特性の非限定的な例としては、引張(強度、伸長)、衝撃(強度、耐性)、引裂き(エルメンドルフ)、及びそれらの組合せが挙げられる。
本多層フィルムのコア成分は、層Aと層Bとの10〜50,000層の交互ストライプを含む。層Bは、1つ以上の輸送材料からなる。「輸送材料」は、50vol%の層Bを有する1ミルの多層フィルムについて50g−ミル/m2/日超のWVTR及び50,000cc−ミル/m2/日/気圧超のCO2TRをコア成分に付与するポリマーである。
コア成分は、任意の層Cを含んでもよい。実施形態において、本多層フィルムのコア成分は、層Aと、層Bと、層Cとの10〜50,000層の交互ストライプを含む。層Cは、1つ以上の結合材料からなる。「結合材料」は、層Aと層Bとの間の接着力を向上させるポリマーである。層A、B、及びCは、A−B、A−B−C、A−B−A−C、A−B−C−A、A−B−B−Cなどを含む、任意の所望の順序で配置してもよいが、これらに限定されない。
実施形態において、層A、層B、及び層Cのうちの1つ、いくつか、またはすべてを粒子状充填材料で充填することができる。実施形態において、層Aは充填されてもよい。例えば、層Aは、第1のLLDPEと、第2のLLDPE(第1のLLDPEとは異なる)と、LLDPEエチレン系ポリマー(例えば、第1のLLDPE及び第2のLLDPEとは異なる第3のLLDPE)と粒子状充填材料とである複合物との配合物であってもよい。
本多層フィルムのコア成分は、層Aと、層Bと、層Cとの10〜100,000層の交互ストライプを含む。
(i)50、または100、または150、または200、または250〜300、または350、または400、または450、または500g−ミル/m2/24時間の水蒸気透過率(WVTR)、及び
(ii)50,000、または10,000、または150,000〜200,000、または250,000、または300,000cc−ミル/m2/24時間/気圧の二酸化炭素透過率(CO2TR)。
実施形態において、多層フィルムは、少なくとも1層のスキン層を含む。さらなる実施形態において、多層フィルムは、2層のスキン層を含む。このスキン層は、最外層であり、コア成分の両側に1つのスキン層がある。スキン層は、互いに対向して、コア成分を挟む。スキン層は、ストライプ状層または積層型層であり得る。実施形態において、スキン層は、ストライプ状の層である。個々のスキン層それぞれの組成は、他のスキン層と同じであっても異なっていてもよい。スキン層として使用することができる好適なポリマーの非限定的な例としては、エチレン系ポリマー、プロピレン系ポリマー、ポリエチレンオキシド、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリアミド、ポリエステル、ポリエステルのコポリマー、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリスチレン、ポリカーボネート、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリアミド、エチレン−co−アクリル酸コポリマー、ポリオキシメチレン、及びこれらのうちの2つ以上の配合物、ならびにこれらのうちの1つ以上を含む他のポリマーとの配合物が挙げられる。
スキン層は、コア成分(介在層ではない)と直接接触してもよい。あるいは、多層フィルムは、各スキン層とコア成分との間に1層以上の介在層を含んでもよい。本多層フィルムは、任意の付加層を含んでもよい。任意の層は、コア成分とスキン層との間に位置する介在層(または内側層)であってもよい。このような介在層(または内側層)は、単一、繰り返し、または規則的な繰り返し層であってもよい。このような任意の層は、十分な接着性を有し(または提供する)、所望の特性をフィルムまたはシート、例えば、結合層、低バリア層、スキン層などに提供する材料を含むことができる。
本多層フィルムは、独立型フィルムであり得、または別のフィルム、積層体、シート、もしくは物品の成分であり得る。
(i)50、または100、または150、または200、または250〜300、または350、または400、または450、または500g−ミル/m2/24時間の水蒸気透過率(WVTR)、及び
(ii)50,000、または10,000、または150,000〜200,000、または250,000、または300,000cc−ミル/m2/24時間/気圧の二酸化炭素(CO2)透過率。

前記コア成分が、50,000〜300,000cc−ミル/m2/24時間/気圧のCO2透過速度(CO2TR)及び50〜500g−ミル/m2/24時間の水透過速度(WVTR)を有する、多層フィルム。 - 前記層Aのフィルム材料が、エチレン系ポリマー、エチレン系ポリマーと粒子状充填材料との複合物、酢酸エチレンポリマー、及びそれらの組合せからなる群から選択されるポリマーである、請求項1に記載の多層フィルム。

- 前記層Bの輸送材料が、ブロックポリエーテルアミド、エチレン酢酸ビニルポリマー、及びそれらの組合せからなる群から選択されるポリマーである、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の多層フィルム。
- 前記層Aのフィルム材料が、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)を含み、前記層Bの輸送材料が、ブロックポリエーテルアミドを含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の多層フィルム。
- 層Aと層Bとの体積比が、85:15〜10:90である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の多層フィルム。
- 前記コア成分が、層Aと層Bとの20〜200層の交互層を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の多層フィルム。
- 少なくとも1層のスキン層を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の多層フィルム。
