Description
カテーテル内の高流量を提供することで生じる問題は、デュアルルーメン・カテーテルの構成においては増大する。デュアルルーメン・カテーテルの各ルーメンは通常はD字形を有するので、流量が制限されると推測されている。さらに、そのようなデュアルルーメン・カテーテルは、多くの場合、実質的にルーメンの軸線上でルーメンの端部が開口している主孔部を有するカテーテルである。したがって、頻繁に跳ね返りが生じる。跳ね返りのせいで静脈壁が損傷し、カテーテル先端部にフィブリンが堆積するきっかけとなる可能性がある。フィブリンの堆積はさらに孔部の閉塞をもたらす可能性がある。

Claims (4)
- 患者の脈管内に留置される、対称的な先端部を有するカテーテルであって、
近位端部と遠位端部とを有する、長手方向の中心軸に対して対称的な細長いカテーテル本体を有し、このカテーテル本体は、
前記カテーテルの前記遠位端部に吸入孔部を形成する第1の湾曲した内壁を有する第1のルーメンであって、当該第1の湾曲した内壁は前記吸入孔部から流入する流体を偏向させるものである、前記第1のルーメンと、
前記カテーテルの前記遠位端部に出口孔部を形成する第2の湾曲した内壁を有する第2のルーメンであって、当該第2の湾曲した内壁は前記出口孔部から流出する流体を偏向させるものである、前記第2のルーメンと、
前記カテーテル本体の内部の少なくとも一部分を通って長手方向に伸び、前記カテーテル本体の内部を前記1のルーメンと前記第2のルーメンとに分割する隔壁であって、前記1のルーメンと前記第2のルーメンは前記吸入孔部および前記出口孔部が隣接するように同位置で終端し、前記隔壁は前記カテーテルの遠位端部を超えて延長せず、前記吸入孔部および前記出口孔部と同位置で終端するものである、前記隔壁と

- 請求項2記載のカテーテルにおいて、前記少なくとも1つの開口部は側穴部であるカテーテル。
- 請求項1記載のカテーテルにおいて、前記カテーテルはその遠位端部において渦巻状にねじれており、それにより、前記カテーテルを通じて流れる流体をさらに偏向させるものであるカテーテル。
