Description
本発明は、斯かる事情に鑑みてなされたものであって、マルチVブランキング駆動においてノイズを抑制することのできる表示装置を提供することを目的とする。
なお、開示はあくまで一例にすぎず、当業者において、発明の主旨を保っての適宜変更について容易に想到し得るものについては、当然に本発明の範囲に含有されるものである。また、図面は説明をより明確にするため、実際の態様に比べ、各部の幅、厚さ、形状等について模式的に表される場合があるが、あくまで一例であって、本発明の解釈を限定するものではない。また、本明細書と各図において、既出の図に関して前述したものと同様の要素には、同一の符号を付して、詳細な説明を適宜省略することがある。
図1は、第1の実施の形態の表示装置DSPにおける表示装置の概略の構成を示す図である。なお、本実施の形態において、表示装置は液晶表示装置である。
図5(1)には、表示ライン数を固定して駆動したときに発生するノイズの周波数分布を示している。図5(2)には、上述のように表示ライン数を可変としたときに発生するノイズの周波数分布を示している。
Claims (8)
- マトリクス状に配された複数の表示素子と、
前記表示素子の配列する行に沿って配置された複数の走査線と、
前記表示素子の配列する列に沿って配置された複数の信号線と、
前記信号線と前記走査線にそれぞれ画像信号と駆動信号とを順次供給して前記表示素子を表示駆動する制御部とを有し、
前記制御部は、表示駆動する表示期間と表示駆動を行わない表示休止期間とを繰り返して1フレーム画像を表示し、1フレーム画像を表示する際、長さの異なる少なくとも2種の前記表示期間を用い、
1フレーム画像を表示する際、時系列で配置された複数の前記表示期間に含まれる表示ライン数は、2期間毎に2ずつ単調に増加もしくは減少する、又は3期間毎に3ずつ単調に増加もしくは減少する
表示装置。 - 前記表示期間の長さは、当該表示期間に含まれる表示ライン数を用いて指定可能になされる請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 1フレーム画像を表示する際、少なくとも2種の前記表示期間をどのように時系列で配置するかに関する情報は、レジスタを介して授受するようになされ、
前記制御部は、前記レジスタを参照して表示駆動を制御する請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 少なくとも2種の前記表示期間をどのように時系列で配置するかに関する情報は、複数組設けられ、
前記制御部は、選択された1組の前記配置に関する情報を用いて前記表示駆動を制御する請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示装置は、複数の周波数から選択された周波数で駆動可能になされ、
前記表示期間及び表示休止期間の長さは、前記選択された周波数に応じて変化する請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示装置は、タッチ信号のS/N比が高いほど高い周波数のタッチ駆動信号を選択するようになされる請求項5に記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示装置は、前記表示休止期間において外部近接物体を検知するためのタッチ駆動動作と検出動作とを実行するタッチ検出部を備える請求項1乃至6のうちいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記タッチ検出部は、インセルタイプのタッチセンサとして前記表示装置に設けられる請求項7に記載の表示装置。
