Description
本出願は、2012年10月5日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/710287号明細書(その内容全体が参照により本明細書に援用される)の優先権の利益を主張する。
Claims (4)
- (I)第1の面および第2の面を含み、前記第1の面と前記第2の面との間に延在する0.5mm〜2mmの厚さを有する金属シートを提供する工程、
(II)1.1mm以下の厚さを有する酸エッチングした化学強化ガラスシートを提供する工程、および
(III)第1の中間層を用いて前記化学強化ガラスシートを前記金属シートの前記第1の面に取り付ける工程
を有してなる、積層構造を製造する方法であって、
該積層構造は、4.34ジュール以上の破壊時の衝撃エネルギーに耐える強度を有するものであることを特徴とする積層構造を製造する方法。 - ソースガラスシートから複数のガラスシートを分離する工程と、前記複数のガラスシートの少なくとも1つを化学強化して、前記工程(II)の化学強化ガラスシートを得る工程をさらに含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- ガラスシートを化学強化する工程の前に、ガラスシートの少なくとも1つのエッジの仕上げを行う工程をさらに含む、請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記工程(III)は、前記化学強化ガラスシートと前記金属シートの前記第1の面との間に前記中間層を有するスタックを形成する工程と、該スタックを真空室中に配置する工程と、該真空室を少なくとも部分的に排気する工程と、前記スタックを積層温度まで加熱する工程とを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
