Description
本明細書に示す中間転写体混合物のために選択されるポリイミドの例は、ポリアミド酸のポリイミド前駆体または複数のポリアミド酸(例えば、約2〜約10、約2〜約5、約2〜約3のポリアミド酸、例えば、2つのポリアミド酸の重量パーセント比は、約80/20、約75/25、約50/50である)から作成することができる。酸の例としては、ピロメリット酸二無水物/4,4’−オキシジアニリンのポリアミド酸、ピロメリット酸二無水物/フェニレンジアミンのポリアミド酸、ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸二無水物/4,4’−オキシジアニリンのポリアミド酸、ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸二無水物/フェニレンジアミンのポリアミド酸、ベンゾフェノンテトラカルボン酸二無水物/4,4’−オキシジアニリンのポリアミド酸、ベンゾフェノンテトラカルボン酸二無水物/4,4’−オキシジアニリン/フェニレンジアミンのポリアミド酸など、およびこれらの混合物が挙げられる。加熱によって硬化させた後、得られるポリイミドとしては、ピロメリット酸二無水物/4,4’−オキシジアニリンのポリイミド、ピロメリット酸二無水物/フェニレンジアミンのポリイミド、ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸二無水物/4,4’−オキシジアニリンのポリイミド、ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸二無水物/フェニレンジアミンのポリイミド、ベンゾフェノンテトラカルボン酸二無水物/4,4’−オキシジアニリンのポリイミド、ベンゾフェノンテトラカルボン酸二無水物/4,4’−オキシジアニリン/フェニレンジアミンのポリイミド、およびこれらの混合物が挙げられる。
フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、カーボンブラックのような導電性要素が存在する場合には、この導電性要素のための分散薬剤として、また、開示される混合物のためのレベリング剤および剥離添加剤として機能する能力を有し、以下の式/構造
開示する中間転写体は、場合により、例えば、中間転写体の導電性を変え、調節するために、1種類以上の導電性要素またはフィラーを含んでいてもよい。中間転写体が1層構造である場合、導電性フィラーが、本明細書に開示するフルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートを含有する混合物中に含まれてもよい。しかし、中間転写体が多層構造である場合、導電性フィラーが、中間転写体の1つ以上の層(例えば、支持部材、フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートを含有する混合物の層、または支持部材とフルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートを含有する混合物の層の両方、存在する場合には剥離層を含む)に含まれていてもよい。例えば、適切なフィラーとしては、カーボンブラック、金属酸化物、ポリアニリン、グラファイト、アセチレンブラック、フッ素化カーボンブラック、他の既知の適切なフィラーおよびこれらの混合物が挙げられる。
開示される中間転写体混合物は、一般的に、ポリシロキサンポリマーを含んでいてもよい。本明細書に開示する中間転写体混合物のために選択されるポリシロキサンポリマーの例としては、既知の適切なポリシロキサン、例えば、BYK Chemicalから、BYK(登録商標)333、330(メトキシプロピルアセテート中、約51重量%)および344(比率80/20のキシレン/イソブタノール中、約52.3重量%)として市販される、ポリエーテルとポリジメチルシロキサンのコポリマー;BYK(登録商標)−SILCLEAN 3710および3720(メトキシプロパノール中、約25重量%);BYK Chemicalから、BYK(登録商標)310(キシレン中、約25重量%)および370(比率75/11/7/7のキシレン/アルキルベンゼン/シクロヘキサノン/モノフェニルグリコール中、約25重量%)として市販される、ポリエステルとポリジメチルシロキサンのコポリマー;BYK Chemicalから、BYK(登録商標)−SILCLEAN 3700(メトキシプロピルアセテート中、約25重量%)として市販される、ポリアクリレートとポリジメチルシロキサンのコポリマー;BYK Chemicalから、BYK(登録商標)375(ジ−プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル中、約25重量%)として市販される、ポリエステルポリエーテルとポリジメチルシロキサンのコポリマー、およびこれらの混合物が挙げられる。
所望な場合、中間転写体中に、例えば、開示するフルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートを含む混合物層の下に、支持基材が含まれていてもよい。中間体に向上した剛性または強度を付与するために、支持基材が含まれてもよい。
所望な場合、任意要素の剥離層が、中間転写体中に、例えば、開示するフルオロ脂肪族ホスフェート混合物を含有する層の上の層構造で含まれていてもよい。トナーを洗浄し、光伝導体から中間転写体へのさらなる現像画像の転写効率を補助するために、剥離層が含まれていてもよい。
開示する中間転写体コーティング分散物は、多くの既知のプロセスによって調製することができる。開示するコーティング組成物を調製するための1方法は、機械的な攪拌を含み、ボールミルによる粉砕を含まず、フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェート剥離添加剤/レベリング剤/分散剤を、最初に、カーボンブラックのような導電性要素および溶媒と混合することができる。その後、得られた混合物にポリアミド酸およびポリアミド酸の混合物を加えてもよい。
ポリアミド酸の中間転写ベルト(ITB)のコーティング分散物が調製され、加熱によって硬化させた後、ポリアミド酸は、以下の式/構造
ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸二無水物/ジアミノベンゼンポリアミド酸およびピロメリット酸二無水物/4,4−オキシジアニリンのポリアミド酸で構成されるポリアミド酸の混合物を含む、ポリアミド酸の中間転写ベルト(ITB)のコーティング分散物が調製され、加熱によって硬化させた後、ポリアミド酸は、以下の式/構造
Claims (21)
- ポリイミドと、フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートと、任意の導電性要素とで構成され、前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、以下の式/構造
- 前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、以下の式/構造
- 前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、合計固形分の約0.1〜約1重量パーセントの量で存在し、nが、約2〜約16の数である、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記ポリイミドは、以下の式/構造
- ポリエステル修飾されたポリジメチルシロキサン、ポリエーテル修飾されたポリジメチルシロキサン、ポリアクリレート修飾されたポリジメチルシロキサンおよびポリエステルポリエーテル修飾されたポリジメチルシロキサンからなる群から選択されるポリシロキサンポリマーをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記ポリイミドおよび前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、約99.99/0.01〜約95/5の重量比で存在し、任意に前記ポリイミドは、以下の式/構造
- ヤング弾性率が約4,000〜約8,000MPaである、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記導電性要素が存在し、カーボンブラック、金属酸化物、ポリアニリンおよびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記導電性要素が存在し、前記導電性要素はカーボンブラックであり、前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、前記カーボンブラックのための分散薬剤として機能する、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、ペルフルオロヘキシルエチルホスフェート、ペルフルオロオクチルエチルホスフェート、ジ(ペルフルオロヘキシルエチル)ホスフェート、ジ(ペルフルオロオクチルエチル)ホスフェート、およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- フッ素化エチレンプロピレンコポリマー、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリフルオロアルコキシポリテトラフルオロエチレン、フルオロシリコーン、フッ化ビニリデン、ヘキサフルオロプロピレンおよびテトラフルオロエチレンのターポリマー、ならびにこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの要素を含む、剥離層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記中間転写体は、金属に堆積された後、前記金属の支持基材から自己剥離し、約1〜約10秒で前記支持基材から自己剥離可能である、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記導電性要素が存在し、前記ポリイミド/導電性要素/フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートの重量比は、約50/49.99/0.01〜約94.9/5/0.1である、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、内部剥離添加剤、レベリング剤、および分散薬剤として同時に機能する、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 支持基材をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、ペルフルオロヘキシルエチルホスフェートである、請求項1に記載の中間転写体。
- ポリイミドと、カーボンブラックと、以下の式/構造
- nが、約1〜約10の数である、請求項17に記載の中間転写体。
- 前記フルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートは、以下の式/構造

- 中間転写体であって、支持基材と、支持基材の上に、ポリアミド酸またはこれらの混合物から作られるポリイミド、カーボンブラック、およびペルフルオロヘキシルエチルホスフェート、ペルフルオロオクチルエチルホスフェート、ジ(ペルフルオロヘキシルエチル)ホスフェート、ジ(ペルフルオロオクチルエチル)ホスフェートおよびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるフルオロ脂肪族ホスフェートの混合物で構成される層とを備え、この中間転写体は、場合により、ヤング弾性率が約5,000〜約8,000MPaである、中間転写体。
