Description
図4を参照して、実施例に基づき本発明の評価方法をより具体例に説明するが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではない。
温度制御装置2として、インタークロス株式会社製、商品名「intercross−200」を用いた。
メントール含有量を異ならせた3タイプの外用剤(冷感化粧料)A1,A2,A3を評価に用いた。タイプA1のメントール含有量は0.3w%、タイプA2のメントール含有量は0.9w%、タイプA3のメントール含有量は3.0w%である。

被験者を1人(B1とする)として評価を行った。
評価は、温度21〜23℃、湿度40〜60%RHの環境下で行った。

その結果、塗布直後の冷感の強度は「2」、塗布1分後の強度が「3」、塗布2分後、塗布3分後ならびに塗布4分後の強度がいずれも「4(最大)」、塗布5分後の強度が「3」であった。これより、測定開始時を塗布2分後と設定した。
(本評価)
評価は、温度21〜23℃、湿度40〜60%RHの環境下で行った。
上記で算出された温度差(T1−T0)としては、メントール含有量の最も少ないタイプA1の外用剤の場合を下記表1に、タイプA2の外用剤の場合を下記表2に、タイプA3の外用剤の場合を下記表3にそれぞれ示した。
外用剤のメントール含有量を5w%としたタイプA4について、被験者をB1,B2,B3,B4,B5の5名にし、被験者毎の温度差(T1−T0)と、すべての被験者に関するデータの平均および標準偏差を調べた。その結果を下記表4に示している。

Claims (5)
- 外用剤により被験者の皮膚に付与する温冷感の評価方法であって、
前記被験者の身体における第1部位に前記外用剤を接触させる第1工程と、
前記被験者の身体において前記第1部位とは異なる第2部位の皮膚温度を、温度検出部により測定しながら温度調節部により変化させる第2工程と、
前記被験者が、前記第1部位における温冷感と前記第2部位における温冷感とが同等と判断したときの前記第2部位の皮膚温度を前記温度検出部により測定する第3工程と、
前記第2工程において前記第2部位の皮膚温度を変化させる前に当該第2部位の皮膚温度を前記温度検出部により測定した値と、第3工程で測定した値との差を算出する第4工程と、
前記第4工程の算出結果に基づいて前記外用剤を評価する第5工程とを含む、ことを特徴とする温冷感の評価方法。 - 請求項1に記載の温冷感の評価方法において、
前記第1部位と前記第2部位は、左半身と右半身とに対称に設定される、ことを特徴とする温冷感の評価方法。 - 請求項1または2に記載の温冷感の評価方法において、
前記第2工程の開始時期は、前記第1工程で前記被験者に前記外用剤を接触させた時点から所定時間が経過した時点とし、
前記所定時間は、前記外用剤の接触時点から当該外用剤が皮膚に付与する温冷感の強度が最大レベルになるまでに要する時間を予め調べておいて、その結果に基づいて設定する、ことを特徴とする温冷感の評価方法。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の温冷感の評価方法において、
前記外用剤が、冷感を付与する外用剤又は温感を付与する外用剤である、ことを特徴とする温冷感の評価方法。 - 請求項4に記載の温冷感の評価方法において、
前記外用剤が、化粧料である、ことを特徴とする温冷感の評価方法。
