Description
本国際出願は、米国特許仮出願第61/708,027号(2012年9月30日出願)の利益を主張するものであり、この開示は参照により本願に援用される。
により表すことができ、式中、Mは第3族金属原子を表し、Lは中性ルイス塩基を表し、zは包括的に0〜2の整数であり、R1は水素原子又は一価の有機基であり、各R2は独立してハロゲン原子又はR1であり、各R3は独立して、H、ハロゲン原子、ヒドロカルビル基、ヒドロカルビルオキシ基、ヒドロカルビルチオ基、ジヒドロカルビルアミノ基、ジシリルアミノ基、又はジヒドロカルビルホスフィノ基であり、Qは、ジヒドロカルビルアミノ、ジヒドロカルビルホスフィノ、ヒドロカルビルオキシ、及びヒドロカルビルチオ基、又はN原子、O原子、S原子、又はP原子含有複素環式部分から選択される電子供与基であり、並びにR4は二価の有機基である。代替的に、2つのR2基を連結させて、及び/又はR1をR2と連結させて、置換又は未置換ヒドロカルビレン基(すなわち、環状炭素)を提供することができる。
「ポリマー」は、1種以上のモノマーからなる重合生成物を意味し、ホモポリマー、コポリマー、ターポリマー、テトラポリマーなどを包含する。
「構造単位(「mer」又は「mer unit」)」は、単一の反応分子から誘導されるポリマーの部分を意味する(例えば、エチレン構造単位は、一般式−CH2CH2−を有する)。
「コポリマー」は、2つの反応種から、典型的にはモノマーから誘導される構造単位を含有するポリマーを意味し、ランダム、ブロック、セグメント化、グラフトなどのコポリマーを包含する。
「インターポリマー」は、少なくとも2種の反応種、典型的にはモノマーから誘導される構造単位を含むポリマーを意味し、コポリマー、ターポリマー、テトラポリマー、及び同様物を包含する。
「置換」は、対象としている基に関係する目的に干渉しないヘテロ原子又は官能基(例えば、ヒドロカルビル基)を含有していることを意味する。
「複素環式化合物」は、環状構造内にヘテロ原子を含有する環状化合物を意味する。
「ポリエン」は、最長の部分又はそれらの鎖中に位置する二重結合を少なくとも2つ備える分子、典型的にはモノマーを意味し、具体的には、ジエン、トリエン、及び同様物を包含する。
「ポリジエン」は、1種以上のジエン由来の構造単位を含有するポリマーを意味する。
「ランタニド金属」は、包括的に、第57番〜第71番の原子番号を有するいずれかの原子を意味する。
「第3族金属」は、Sc、Y、又はランタニド金属を意味する。
「phr」は、ゴム100重量部(pbw)あたりの重量部を意味する。
「ラジカル」は、反応の結果として、何らかの原子が増えようと減じようとそれらとは無関係に、別の分子との反応後に残る分子部分を意味する。
「中性ルイス塩基」は、利用可能な電子対を含有する非イオン性化合物(又はラジカル)を意味する。
「非配位アニオン」は、例えば、立体障害に起因し触媒系の活性中心と配位結合を形成しない、立体的に嵩高いアニオンを意味する。
「非配位アニオン前駆体」は、反応条件下で非配位アニオンを生成し得る化合物を意味する。
「末端」は、ポリマー鎖末端を意味する。
「末端活性」は、リビング又は擬似リビング末端を有するポリマーを意味する。
「末端部分」は、末端に位置する基又は官能基を意味する。

アルキル化剤の、式(I)の錯体に対する比:約1:1〜約1000:1、一般に約2:1〜約500:1、典型的には約5:1〜約200:1、
式(I)の錯体の、アルミノキサンに対する比、具体的には、当量のアルミノキサン中アルミニウム原子の、当量の錯体中第3族原子に対する比:約5:1〜約1000:1、一般に約10:1〜約700:1、典型的には約20:1〜約500:1、
有機アルミニウム化合物の、式(I)の錯体に対する比:約1:1〜約200:1、一般に約2:1〜約150:1、典型的には約5:1〜約100:1、及び
非配位アニオン又は前駆体の、式(I)の錯体に対する比:約1:2〜約20:1、一般に約3:4〜約10:1、典型的には約1:1〜約6:1。
(1)その場で(in situ)。モノマー及び溶媒(又は単純にバルクモノマー)を含有する溶液に触媒成分を加える。添加は段階的に又は同時に加えることができる。後者の場合、アルキル化剤は、好ましくは最初に加えられ、続いて式(I)の錯体が加えられる。
(2)予混合。成分は、モノマーに導入する前に、重合系とは別にして、全般的に約−20°〜約80℃の温度で混合することができる。
(3)モノマー存在下での予形成。約−20°〜約80℃の温度にて、少量のモノマー存在下で、触媒成分を混合する。モノマーの量は、式(I)の錯体1molあたり約1〜約500mol、一般に約5〜約250mol、典型的には約10〜約100molの範囲とすることができる。得られる触媒組成物を重合させるモノマーの残部に加える。
(4)2段階工程。
(a)約−20°〜約80℃の温度にて、モノマーの非存在下で、又は少量のモノマーの存在下で、アルキル化剤を式(I)の錯体と組み合わせる。
(b)前述の混合物及び残りの成分を、段階的に又は同時にのいずれかで装填し、モノマーの残部を重合させる。
25mL THF中約64mg(2.7mmol)NaHと約810mg(2.7mmol)N−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチルサリチリデン)−2−(ジメチルアミノ)エチルアミンとの混合物を加熱して約30分間還流し、得られる黄色溶液に約1.05g(2.7mmol)NdCl3(THF)2を加えた。この混合物を加熱して約420分還流した。
オーブンで乾燥させ、それぞれ100gヘキサンを入れた3つの800mLボトルをN2パージし、ヘキサン中21.5%(重量)1,3−ブタジエン約233gと、実施例1由来の触媒溶液を次の量で加えた。
実施例2:2.40mL(0.0200mmol)
実施例3:2.70mL(0.0225mmol)
実施例4:3.00mL(0.0250mmol)
N2パージした乾燥200mLボトルに、約1.52mL 1,3−ブタジエン溶液(ヘキサン中21.5%)、約13.7mLトルエン、約4.63mL MAO(トルエン中4.32M)、約118mg(0.200mmol)の実施例1のNd錯体、続いて約4.00mL DIBAH(ヘキサン中1.05M)を入れた。この触媒組成物の一部を使用前に室温で約30分間エージングした。

各R2は、H、ハロゲン原子、又は一価の有機基であり、
各R3は独立して、H、ハロゲン原子、ヒドロカルビル基、ヒドロカルビルオキシ基、ヒドロカルビルチオ基、ジヒドロカルビルアミノ基、ジシリルアミノ基、又はジヒドロカルビルホスフィノ基であり、
Qは−N(CH3)2基であり、
R4は二価の有機基であり、
但し、次の:(1)2つのR2基は結合して置換又は未置換ヒドロカルビレン基をもたらすことができる、並びに(2)R1はR2と結合して置換又は未置換ヒドロカルビレン基をもたらすことができる、のいずれか又は両方が真である、錯体。 - 各R3がClである、請求項1に記載の錯体。
