Description
図1は、油井管用ねじ継手の断面図である。図1を参照して、油井管用ねじ継手1は、ピン2と、ボックス3とを備える。ピン2は、接触表面21を備える。接触表面21は、雄ねじであるねじ部(Thread Portion)22と、ねじ無し金属接触部(Unthread Metal Contact Portion)23とを含む。ねじ無し金属接触部23は、ねじ部22よりもピン2の先端側に位置する。接触表面21はさらに、先端に、ショルダー部24を含む。
以下、光硬化被膜25の詳細を説明する。光硬化被膜25は、光硬化型樹脂と、パーフルオロポリエーテルとを含有する。
光硬化型樹脂は、光硬化型樹脂組成物を硬化して形成される。光硬化型樹脂組成物は、光線の照射により光重合反応を起こし、硬化するものであれば特に限定されない。光重合反応は、ラジカル重合でもよいし、カチオン重合でもよい。光線はたとえば、紫外線である。光硬化型樹脂組成物は、モノマー及び/又はオリゴマーと、光重合開始剤とを含有する。
パーフルオロポリエーテル(PFPE)は、フッ素系合成油であり、炭素(C)と酸素(O)とフッ素(F)とを含有する高分子材料である。より具体的には、PFPEは1又は複数のCF2基とOとを含有する。PFPEは熱的、化学的に安定かつ不活性であり、高い粘度指数と低い凝固点とを有する。PFPEを150℃で長時間使用しても、酸化、重合、分子破断等の化学変化が起りにくい。さらに、PFPEの蒸気圧は低い。
光硬化被膜25の製造方法は次のとおりである。
本実施形態では、ボックス3の接触表面31上に固体潤滑被膜35が形成される。好ましい固体潤滑被膜35は、国際公開第2007/42231号公報、国際公開第2009/72486号に開示された固体潤滑被膜35である。
固体潤滑被膜35のマトリックス(室温で塑性又は粘塑性型レオロジー挙動を有する)の好ましい融点は80〜320℃である。この場合、マトリックスの融点以上の温度で溶融された組成物を周知のスプレイガンを用いたスプレイ塗布することができ、ボックス3の接触表面31上に固体潤滑被膜35を容易に形成することができる。
熱可塑性ポリマー:5〜40%、
ワックス:5〜30%、
金属石鹸:5〜30%、
腐食抑制剤:0〜50%、
水不溶性液状樹脂:0〜17%、
界面活性剤、着色剤、酸化防止剤:各0〜2%、
極圧剤、液状油剤:各0〜2%。
ポリエチレンホモポリマー:5〜40%、
カルナバワックス:5〜30%、
ステアリン酸亜鉛:5〜30%、
腐食抑制剤:5〜50%、
ポリアルキルメタクリレート:0〜15%、
ポリジメチルシロキサン:0〜2%、
着色剤:0〜1%、
酸化防止剤:0〜1%。
本明細書において、固体潤滑剤は潤滑性を有する粉末を意味する。固体潤滑剤は、次の4種類の固体潤滑粉末に大別される。
(1)滑り易い特定の結晶構造、たとえば、六方晶層状結晶構造を有することにより潤滑性を示すもの(例、黒鉛、酸化亜鉛、窒化硼素)、
(2)結晶構造に加えて反応性元素を有することにより潤滑性を示すもの(例、二硫化モリブデン、二硫化タングステン、ふっ素化黒鉛、硫化スズ、硫化ビスマス)、
(3)化学反応性により潤滑性を示すもの(例、或る種のチオ硫酸塩型化合物)、及び
(4)摩擦応力下での塑性または粘塑性挙動により潤滑性を示すもの(例、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン及びポリアミド)。
上述のとおり、本実施の形態では、固体潤滑被膜35はたとえば、ホットメルト法により形成される。具体的には、固体潤滑被膜35の原料である組成物(上述のマトリックス及び固体潤滑剤を含有する組成物)を加熱して溶融させる。溶融された組成物(マトリックスが溶融したものであって、固体潤滑剤は固体のまま)を、温度を保持しながら、スプレイガンで噴霧する。組成物の加熱温度は、マトリックスの融点よりも10〜50℃高く設定するのが好ましい。以上の工程により、塗布された組成物が硬化して固体潤滑被膜35が形成される。
上述の光硬化被膜25及び固体潤滑被膜35を形成する前に、ピン2及びボックス3の接触表面21及び31に対して下地処理を実施するのが好ましい。
ピン表面に対して、次の下地処理を実施した。ピン表面に対して機械研削仕上げを実施し、ピン表面の表面粗さを3μmとした。その後、75〜85℃の燐酸亜鉛用化成処理液中に10分間浸漬して、厚さ10μmの燐酸亜鉛被膜(表面粗さ8μm)を形成した。
UVランプ:空冷水銀ランプ、
UVランプ出力:4kW、
紫外線波長:260nm。
ボックス表面に対して次の下地処理を実施した。ボックス表面に対して機械研削仕上げを実施し、ボックス表面の表面粗さを3μmとした。その後、電気めっきによりNiストライクめっきを形成した。Cu−Sn−Zn合金めっきを実施して、ストライクめっきを含め合計厚み8μmのめっき被膜を形成した。
・ポリエチレンホモポリマー(CLARIANT社製の商品名LICOWAX PE520):9%、
・カルナバワックス:15%、
・ステアリン酸亜鉛:15%、
・液状ポリアルキルメタクリレート(ROHMAX社製の商品名VISCOPLEX6−950):5%、
・腐食抑制剤(LUBRIZOL社製の商品名ALOX606):40%、
・ふっ素化黒鉛:3.5%、
・酸化亜鉛:1%、
・二酸化チタン:5%、
・三酸化ビスマス:5%、
・シリコーン(ポリジメチルシロキサン):1%、
・酸化防止剤(Ciba−Geigy社製の商品名IRGANOX L150):0.3%、及び
・酸化防止剤(Ciba−Geigy社製の商品名IRGAFOS 168):0.2%。
上述の本発明例1〜8、及び比較例1の油井管用ねじ継手に対して、10回までの繰り返しのねじ締め及びねじ戻し試験を−40℃の低温で実施した。具体的には、ねじ締め及びねじ戻しを実施するごとに、ピン及びボックス周辺をドライアイスにより−40℃に冷却して極低温環境を形成した。その後、ねじ締め及びねじ戻しを実施した。締付け速度は10rpmであり、締付けトルクは42.8kN・mであった。
各番号の光硬化被膜が形成されたピン表面に対して、JIS Z2371(2000)に準拠した塩水噴霧試験を実施し、錆が確認されるまでの試験時間を測定した。
試験結果を表1に示す。表1を参照して、本発明例1〜8ではいずれも、ねじ締め及びねじ戻しを10回行った後でも焼付きが確認されず、優れた耐焼付き性を示した。さらに、ショルダリングトルク比はいずれも150%未満であり、優れた潤滑性を示した。さらに、いずれの番号でも、塩水噴霧試験において1000時間未満では錆の発生が確認されず、優れた防錆性を示した。
上記の実施例では、244.48mm(9−5/8インチ)の外径を有する油井管用継手(商品名VAM 21)を使用した。他のサイズを有する油井管用継手における性能評価を行うため、他の外径(2−3/8インチから14インチまでの外径)、炭素鋼以外の他の鋼種(13Cr鋼、25Cr鋼に代表される高合金鋼)、及び、各種のねじタイプ(新日鐵住金株式会社製の商品名VAM Connectionシリーズ、VAM TOPシリーズ、VAM SLIJ等のインテグラル継手)において、上記実施例と同様の試験を実施した。その結果、上記実施例と同様の結果が得られた。

Claims (6)
- ねじ部及びねじ無し金属接触部を有する接触表面をそれぞれ含むピンとボックスとを備えた油井管用ねじ継手であって、
前記ピンの接触表面が最上層として、光硬化型樹脂と、重量平均分子量が3000以上のパーフルオロポリエーテルとを含有する光硬化被膜を備え、
前記ボックスの接触表面が最上層として、固体潤滑被膜を備える、油井管用ねじ継手。 - 請求項1に記載の油井管用ねじ継手であって、
前記光硬化被膜は、0.2〜20質量%のパーフルオロポリエーテルを含有する、油井管用ねじ継手。 - 請求項1又は請求項2に記載の油井管用ねじ継手であって、
前記固体潤滑被膜の膜厚は10〜150μmであり、前記光硬化被膜の膜厚は5〜40μmである、油井管用ねじ継手。 - 請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の油井管用ねじ継手であって、
前記ピンの接触表面及びボックスの接触表面の少なくとも一方は、ブラスト処理、酸洗、化成処理、及び、金属めっきからなる群から選択される1種又は2種以上の方法により下地処理がなされている、油井管用ねじ継手。 - 油井管用ねじ継手の接触表面上に形成される光硬化被膜用の組成物であって、
光硬化型樹脂組成物と、
重量平均分子量が3000以上のパーフルオロポリエーテルとを含有する、光硬化被膜用組成物。 - 請求項5に記載の光硬化被膜用組成物であって、
0.2〜20質量%の前記パーフルオロポリエーテルを含有する、光硬化被膜用組成物。
