Description
Claims (7)
- 取付け具(18)に固定され、頭部(14)の穴(20)の底の表面形状が不明かばらつきのあるボルト(10)を、当該表面が超音波結合媒質(54)で覆われた状態で非破壊検査する方法であって、
当該ボルト(10)の当該頭部(14)の上方の超音波結合媒質(54)の中または上に複数の振動素子を具備するフェイズドアレイ超音波振動素子(34)を、ビーム放射側の端部を当該ボルト頭部に向けて配置するステップと、
当該フェイズドアレイ(34)の超音波ビーム(38、40)を、当該ビームを変化させる複数の組み合わせの制御パラメータを用いて、当該ボルト(10)の中心線(56)の周りで当該穴(20)の底の表面形状に対する当該ビームの入射角が変化するように走査するステップと、
反射ビームまたは屈折ビーム(58)を監視するステップと、
当該反射ビームまたは屈折ビーム(58)の最大強度の監視結果から当該穴(20)の底の表面形状を突き止めるステップと、
先行ステップで突き止めた表面形状に対して最適化されたビーム(38、40)を生成する組み合わせの制御パラメータで動作するように当該フェイズドアレイ(34)を調節するステップと、
当該最適化されたビーム(38、40)を用いて当該ボルトの体積走査を行うことにより、当該ボルト(10)の欠陥を見つけるステップと
から成る方法。 - 前記ボルト(10)の前記ビーム(38、40)の音波入射点が前記穴(20)の中にある、請求項1の方法。
- 前記走査ステップおよび監視ステップが同じ振動素子(34)を用いて行われる請求項1の方法。
- 前記振動素子(34)が超音波振動素子リニアアレイである請求項1の方法。
- 前記走査ステップが、前記ボルト(10)の表面をビーム掃引する際に前記ビーム(38、40)の入射角を変化させるステップを含む、請求項1の方法。
- 前記走査ステップが、前記ボルト(10)の前記中心線(56)の周りで前記フェイズドアレイ超音波振動素子(34)を360度回転させるステップを含む、請求項1の方法。
- 前記調節ステップが、先行ステップで突き止めた表面形状に基づいて、前記最適化されたビーム(38、40)を生成する制御パラメータを計算するステップを含む、請求項1の方法。
