Description
ステンレス鋼基材の表面は空気中の酸素と自然に反応するため、耐食性が低い酸化皮膜がステンレス鋼基材の表面に形成されている。前処理工程では、酸化皮膜をステンレス鋼基材の表面から除去する。酸化皮膜を除去する方法は、例えば、酸洗又は機械研磨であってよい。酸化皮膜の除去と共にステンレス鋼基材の表面の脱脂洗浄を行ってもよい。
第一不動態化工程では、酸性の処理液をステンレス鋼基材の表面に接触させて、ステンレス鋼基材の表面の少なくとも一部を不動態化する。不動態化により、ステンレス鋼基材と、ステンレス鋼基材の表面の少なくとも一部を覆う不動態皮膜と、を備えるステンレス鋼部材を作製する。ステンレス鋼基材の表面全体を不動態化して、ステンレス鋼基材の表面全体を不動態皮膜で覆ってもよい。
加工工程では、ステンレス鋼部材を加工する。加工の種類は特に限定さない。加工とは、例えば、溶接、切削、成形又は組立等であってよい。加工に伴って、不動態皮膜の一部がステンレス鋼部材から除去され、ステンレス鋼基材がステンレス鋼部材の表面に露出することがある。不動態皮膜の一部がステンレス鋼部材から除去される原因は、加工に限定されない。例えば、ステンレス鋼部材の保管時又は搬送時、ステンレス鋼部材が他の物体と衝突して、不動態皮膜の一部がステンレス鋼部材から除去されて、ステンレス鋼基材がステンレス鋼部材の表面に露出することもある。
検査工程では、ステンレス鋼部材の表面においてステンレス鋼基材が露出している露出部分があるか否かを検査する。
検査工程において露出部分が見つかり、その位置が特定された場合、第二不動態化工程を行う。第二不動態化工程では、第一不動態化工程と同様の方法で、処理液を露出部分に接触させて、露出部分を不動態化する。つまり、不動態皮膜を露出部分の表面に形成する。検査工程において露出部分が見つからなかった場合、第二不動態化工程を行わなくてもよい。不動態皮膜において耐食性の低い部分を再び不動態化してもよい。
Claims (3)
- ステンレス鋼基材と、前記ステンレス鋼基材の表面を覆う不動態皮膜と、を含むステンレス鋼部材を作製する第一不動態化工程と、
配位子を含有する試液を吸液性のシートに染み込ませる工程と、
ステンレス鋼部材の表面を吸液性のシートで覆う工程と、を備え、
前記ステンレス鋼部材は、ステンレス鋼基材と、前記ステンレス鋼基材の表面の少なくとも一部を覆う不動態皮膜と、を含み、
前記ステンレス鋼部材の表面において前記ステンレス鋼基材が露出している露出部分がある場合、前記配位子と前記露出部分に存在する鉄とから錯体が形成され、前記錯体が可視光を吸収するステンレス鋼部材の検査方法を実施することによって、
前記ステンレス鋼部材の表面において前記露出部分があるか否かを検査する検査工程と、
前記露出部分がある場合、前記検査工程後に前記不動態皮膜を前記露出部分の表面に形成する第二不動態化工程と、
を備える、ステンレス鋼製品の製造方法。 - 配位子を含有する試液を吸液性のシートに染み込ませる前記工程の後、ステンレス鋼部材の表面を吸液性のシートで覆う前記工程を行う、
請求項1に記載のステンレス鋼製品の製造方法。 - ステンレス鋼部材の表面を吸液性のシートで覆う前記工程の後、配位子を含有する試液を吸液性のシートに染み込ませる前記工程を行う、
