Description

The present invention is a cover that is bonded to a carrier tape that holds a component at a tip portion of a component supply tape (hereinafter also simply referred to as “tape”) that is mounted on a tape feeder mainly used in an electronic component mounting apparatus. The present invention relates to a tape tip processing jig for peeling a tape.

In an electronic component mounting apparatus, a method using a tape feeder is known as a method for supplying an electronic component to a pickup position of a nozzle of a transfer head. In this method, a component supply tape for holding an electronic component is pulled out from the supply reel, and pitch-fed in synchronization with the mounting timing of the electronic component to be supplied to the nozzle. The component supply tape is composed of a carrier tape that holds the electronic component and a cover tape that is bonded (attached) to the upper surface of the carrier tape so as to cover the electronic component in order to protect the electronic component and prevent it from falling off. The cover tape is peeled off from the upper surface of the carrier tape before being sent to the pickup position. Therefore, a conventional general tape feeder has a cover tape peeling mechanism for peeling the cover tape from the carrier tape in the tape running path (for example, Patent Document 1).

By this cover tape peeling mechanism, the cover tape can be peeled continuously from the carrier tape while the tape is running. However, when a new tape is mounted on the tape feeder, such as during automatic tape setting, it is difficult to peel the cover tape from the carrier tape at the tip of the new tape by the above-mentioned cover tape peeling mechanism. It is necessary to peel off the cover tape from the carrier tape at the front end portion.

According to the present invention, the following tape tip processing jigs (1) to (5) are provided.
(1) A carrier tape that holds a plurality of components at intervals in the longitudinal direction, and a cover tape that is bonded to the carrier tape along the longitudinal direction so as to cover the plurality of components held by the carrier tape A tape tip processing jig for peeling the cover tape from the carrier tape at the tip portion of the component supply tape comprising:
A base member having a flat plate portion capable of advancing the tip portion of the component supply tape along the back surface;
A scraper member having a cutting edge portion disposed below the back surface of the flat plate portion and capable of entering an interface portion between the carrier tape and the cover tape;
I have a,
A tape pressing part that protrudes below the height position of the cutting edge part is disposed at a position adjacent to the cutting edge part in the width direction of the component supply tape,
The tape pressing portion is a tape tip processing jig that presses the cover tape from above in a state where the blade edge portion enters the interface portion between the carrier tape and the cover tape .
(2) The tape tip processing jig according to (1), wherein an opening is formed in the flat plate portion so that the blade edge portion can be seen from above.
(3) The tape tip processing jig according to (1) or (2), wherein the flat plate portion has substantially the same width as the component supply tape.
(4) The tape tip processing jig according to any one of (1) to (3), wherein the base member has a guide portion that guides a tip portion of the component supply tape toward the blade edge portion.
(5) Tape pressing that sandwiches the component supply tape that proceeds toward the blade edge portion with the back surface of the flat plate portion and elastically presses the component supply tape toward the back surface side of the flat plate portion. The tape tip processing jig according to any one of (1) to (4), further including a member.

According to the present invention (the tape tip processing jig of (1) above), the cutting edge portion of the scraper member is moved to the interface portion between the carrier tape and the cover tape by sliding the component supply tape along the back surface of the flat plate portion. Therefore, the cover tape can be easily peeled from the carrier tape at the tip of the component supply tape.

Although the thickness of the entire tape varies depending on the type of component supply tape, the thickness of the cover tape is almost constant (several tens of μm). Therefore, if the component supply tape is slid along the back surface of the flat plate portion with the cover tape facing up, the height of the interface portion between the carrier tape and the cover tape based on the back surface position of the flat plate portion. The position is almost constant regardless of the type of the component supply tape, even if the tape tip drip described later is taken into consideration. If the cutting edge of the scraper member is positioned at this height position, the cover tape can be easily peeled from the carrier tape at the tip of the component supply tape even if the type of the component supply tape changes. .

If the opening is formed in the flat plate portion so that the blade edge portion can be seen from above as in (2) above, the component supply tape is used as the blade edge portion while confirming the positional relationship between the blade edge portion and the component supply tape. Since it can be made to slide toward, the tape front-end | tip process which peels a cover tape from a carrier tape can be performed more easily.

If the width of the flat plate portion is substantially the same as the component supply tape as in (3) above, the tip portion of the component supply tape can be simply slid along the longitudinal direction of the flat plate portion. Can be guided toward the cutting edge. If a guide portion is provided as in (4) above, it is possible to guide more reliably.

If it is set as the structure which provided the tape pressing member like said (5), the component supply tape can be slid more reliably along the back surface of a flat plate part.

When the tape pressing part is arranged as in (6) above and the cover tape is pressed from above with the tape pressing part entering the interface part between the carrier tape and the cover tape, the tape pressing part peeled off. Since the cover tape is creased by the tape pressing portion, the cover tape can be reliably peeled off from the carrier tape.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described based on examples shown in the drawings.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a tape tip processing jig according to the present invention, where (a) is a plan view and (b) is a front perspective view. The tape front end processing jig shown in FIG. 1 is formed by mounting a scraper member 20, a backup member 30, a tape pressing member 40 and a tape pressing member 50 on a base member 10. A specific configuration will be described below.

2A and 2B show the base member 10, where FIG. 2A is a plan view and FIG. 2B is a side view. The base member 10 includes a flat plate portion 11 and a pair of guide portions 12 extending downward from both side portions in the longitudinal direction of the flat plate portion, and has a U-shape when viewed from the side. That is, the width of the flat plate portion 11 is defined by the pair of guide portions 12, and the width is set to be substantially the same as the width of the tape 70 shown in FIG. Thereby, the tape 70 can advance while being guided by the guide portion 12 along the back surface of the flat plate portion 11. The flat plate portion 11 has an opening 11a. In FIG. 2A, the opening 11a of the flat plate portion 11 is hatched.

FIG. 3 shows the scraper member 20, wherein (a) is a plan view and (b) is a front view. The scraper member 20 has a cutting edge portion 21 with a sharp tip, and is attached to the back surface side of the flat plate portion 11 of the base member 10 via a backup member 30.

4A and 4B show the backup member 30, in which FIG. 4A is a plan view and FIG. 4B is a side view. The backup member 30 has a recess 31 for fitting the proximal end side of the scraper member 20 on the upper surface thereof. The scraper member 20 is attached to the backup member 30 by fitting the base end side of the scraper member 20 into the recess 31 and fixing it with two pins 61 (see FIG. 1). The backup member 30 to which the scraper member 20 is attached is attached to the back surface of the flat plate portion 11 of the base member 10. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1, the scraper member 20 is positioned so that the upper surface side of the scraper member 20 fits into the opening 11 a of the flat plate portion 11, and the backup member 30 is placed on the back surface side of the flat plate portion 11 by three pins 62. Fix it.

FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view along the longitudinal direction of the flat plate portion 11 conceptually showing the positional relationship when the scraper member 20 is mounted on the back surface side of the flat plate portion 11 in the manner described above. As shown in the figure, the cutting edge portion 21 of the scraper member 20 is positioned below the back surface of the flat plate portion 11, that is, about 0.2 mm below in the present embodiment for the following reason.

That is, the thickness of the cover tape 72 is about several tens of μm (typically about 50 μm), but when the tape 70 is cut as shown in FIG. There are many. Considering the sagging of the tip of the tape 70, the height position of the interface portion between the carrier tape 71 and the cover tape 72 at the tip of the tape 70 is about 0.2 mm below the back surface of the flat plate portion 11. For this reason, in this embodiment, the cutting edge portion 21 of the scraper member 20 is positioned about 0.2 mm below the tape 70.

As a result, when the front end portion of the tape 70 is advanced along the back surface of the flat plate portion 11 with the cover tape 72 facing up, the blade edge portion 21 of the scraper member 20 is brought into contact with the carrier tape 71 and the cover tape 72 of the tape 70. The cover tape 72 is peeled off.

Here, as described above, the thickness of the cover tape 72 is substantially constant (about several tens of μm) even if the type of the tape 70 is changed, and the amount of sagging at the tip of the tape 70 described with reference to FIG. Since it does not change, if the tape 70 is slid along the back surface of the flat plate portion 11 with the cover tape 72 facing upward, the carrier tape 71 and the cover tape 72 based on the back surface position of the flat plate portion 11 are used. The height position of the interface portion is substantially constant regardless of the type of the tape 70. That is, if the cutting edge portion 21 of the scraper member 20 is positioned at this height position (a position about 0.2 mm below the back surface of the flat plate portion 11 when the drooping of the tip of the tape 70 is taken into consideration), the type of the tape 70 Even if the change occurs, the cover tape 72 can be easily peeled off from the carrier tape 71 at the tip of the tape 70. In the case of the tape 70 that does not sag at the tip of the tape, the cutting edge 21 of the scraper member 20 may be positioned below several tens of μm corresponding to the thickness of the cover tape 72 of the tape 70. These specific height positions are design matters that can be appropriately set by those skilled in the art, and are not limited to the present embodiment.

FIG. 6 shows the tape pressing member 40, where (a) is a plan view and (b) is a front view. The tape pressing member 40 includes a flat base portion 41 and a tape pressing portion 42 extending downward from one side portion in the longitudinal direction of the base portion 41. As shown in FIG. 1, the tape pressing member 40 has a flat plate portion formed by two pins 63 in a state where the tape pressing portion 42 is inserted into an opening 11 a (see FIG. 2) formed in the flat plate portion 11 of the base member 10. 11 is fixed to the upper surface.

FIG. 7 is a side view conceptually showing the positional relationship between the tape pressing portion 42 of the tape pressing member 40 and the blade edge portion 21 of the above-described scraper member. As shown in the figure, the tape pressing portion 42 is disposed adjacent to the blade edge portion 21 so as to protrude below the height position of the blade edge portion 21. The operation of the tape pressing portion 42 will be described later.

FIG. 8 shows the tape pressing member 50, where (a) is a plan view and (b) is a front view. The tape pressing member 50 is made of an elastic material (a leaf spring in the present embodiment), and includes a flat plate-like base portion 51 and a chevron portion 52 integrally formed on the distal end side of the base 51. As shown in FIG. 1, the tape pressing member 50 is mounted on the back surface side of the flat plate portion 11 of the base member 10 by fixing the base portion 51 to the back surface of the backup member 30 with two pins 64. At this time, as shown in FIG. 1B, the apex of the mountain-shaped portion 52 is mounted so as to abut against the back surface of the flat plate portion 11 of the base member 10.

Hereafter, the usage method and effect | action of the tape front-end | tip processing jig of a present Example are demonstrated.

As shown in FIG. 1A, the front end portion of the tape 70 is advanced along the back surface of the flat plate portion 11 of the base member 10 with the cover tape 72 facing upward. As described above, since the width of the flat plate portion 11 is substantially the same as the width of the tape 70 and there is also a pair of guide portions 12, the tape 70 advances straight along the back surface of the flat plate portion 11 while being guided by the guide portion 12. Further, when the tip portion of the tape 70 passes the apex portion of the mountain-shaped portion 52 of the tape pressing member 50, the tape 70 is elastically pressed toward the back surface side of the flat plate portion 11 by the elastic force of the tape pressing member 50. As a result, the tape 70 advances toward the cutting edge portion 21 of the scraper member 20 while the cover tape 72 on the upper surface reliably slides (contacts) along the back surface of the flat plate portion 11.

As described with reference to FIG. 5, the cutting edge portion 21 of the scraper member 20 is positioned below the back surface of the flat plate portion 11, specifically about 0.2 mm below in consideration of sagging of the tip of the tape 70. When the tape 70 is advanced as it is, the cutting edge 21 of the scraper member 20 enters the interface portion between the carrier tape 71 and the cover tape 72 of the tape 70, and the cover tape 72 is peeled off. The state in which the blade edge portion 21 enters the interface portion between the carrier tape 71 and the cover tape 72 can be visually recognized through the opening 11a. Therefore, the blade edge portion 21 can surely enter the interface portion between the carrier tape 71 and the cover tape 72.

In addition, since the side wall part 30a (refer FIG.1 (b)) of the backup member 30 is located in the front-end | tip of the blade edge | tip part 21, this will act as a stopper part and the front-end | tip part of the tape 70 will abut against this side wall part 30a, and will stop. Thereafter, the tape tip processing is completed by pulling out the tape 70 in the reverse direction.

Here, in the present embodiment, as described above, the tape pressing portion 42 of the tape pressing member 40 is disposed so as to protrude below the height position of the cutting edge portion 21 adjacent to the cutting edge portion 21 of the scraper member 20. ing. The operation of the tape pressing portion 42 will be described with reference to FIG.

FIG. 9A is an explanatory view schematically showing a state when the cutting edge portion 21 of the scraper member 20 enters the interface portion between the carrier tape 71 and the cover tape 72 of the tape 70. In this state, the tape pressing portion 42 adjacent to the blade edge portion 21 protrudes downward from the height position of the blade edge portion 21 and presses the cover tape 72 from above. That is, the tape pressing portion 42 is adjacent to the blade edge portion 21 when the blade edge portion 21 is made to enter the interface portion between the carrier tape 71 and the cover tape 72 and the cover tape is peeled off and then pulled out from the blade edge portion 21. The cover tape 72 is pressed from above at a position to be used. As a result, the cover tape 72 of the tape 70 pulled out from the blade edge portion 21 is provided with a fold 72 a as shown in FIG. 9B, and the cover tape 72 can be reliably peeled off from the carrier tape 71.

In this embodiment, the guide portion 12 is formed on the base member 10, but the guide portion 12 is not an essential component of the present invention. Even if the guide portion 12 is not provided, if the tape 70 is advanced toward the blade edge portion 21 along the back surface of the flat plate portion 11, it is possible to perform a tape front end process for peeling the cover tape 72. Similarly, the tape pressing member 40 (tape pressing portion 42) and the tape pressing member 50 are not essential components of the present invention.
