Description
a)表面が切り取られたエリアを有するニップローラーを与えて、パターンがディスプレイパネルのための意図されたパターンの正または負の像であるパターンを形成する工程;
b)エンボス加工性組成物をニップローラーの表面上にある基材層に被覆する工程;および
c)雄型をエンボス加工性組成物に適用する工程。
a)マイクロセルを与える工程;
b)予備決定エリアにおけるマイクロセルを溶媒中の化学組成物で充填する工程;
c)溶媒を除去する工程;および
d)任意に、溶媒除去後に化学組成物を硬化する工程。
本発明の好ましい態様は、以下を包含する。
[1]電気泳動流体で充満されたマイクロセルを含むディスプレイパネルであって、各マイクロセルは底部を有し、該底部の内部表面は、電気泳動流体に接触し、前記ディスプレイパネルは、第1エリアおよび第2エリアを有し、第1エリア中のマイクロセルは実質的に同じ底部厚みを有し、第2エリア中のマイクロセルは第1エリア中のマイクロセルより厚い底部を有する、ディスプレイパネル。
[2]第2エリア中のマイクロセルは、第1エリア中のマイクロセルの底部厚みより0.001マイクロメートル〜第1エリア中のマイクロセルの深さの9/10厚い底部厚みを有する、[1]に記載のパネル。
[3]第2エリア中のマイクロセルは、第1エリア中のマイクロセルの底部厚みより0.001マイクロメートル〜第1エリア中のマイクロセルの深さの1/2厚い底部厚みを有する、[1]に記載のパネル。
[4]第2エリア中のマイクロセルの底部厚みは同一ではない、[1]に記載のパネル。
[5]第1エリアおよび第2エリアはいずれにおいてもマイクロセル中に充填された電気泳動流体が、溶媒または溶媒混合物中に分散した帯電粒子の1つの型を含む、[1]に記載のパネル。
[6]第1エリアおよび第2エリアはいずれにおいてもマイクロセル中に充填された電気泳動流体が、溶媒または溶媒混合物中に分散した帯電粒子の2つの型を含む、[1]に記載のパネル。
[7]第1エリアおよび第2エリアはいずれにおいてもマイクロセル中に充填された電気泳動流体が、溶媒または溶媒混合物中に分散した帯電粒子の2を超える型を含む、[1]に記載のパネル。
[8]2つの電極層間に挟まれる、[1]に記載のパネル。
[9]2つの電極層は、非パターン化導電層である、[8]に記載のパネル。
[10]電極層の1つは共通電極層であり、別の電極層は、薄膜トランジスターマトリックス駆動システムまたはセグメント化バックプレーン駆動システムである、[8]に記載のパネル。
[11]バーコード、反偽造ラベル、方向信号または棚ラベルに用いられる、[8]に記載のパネル。
[12]透かし用途に用いられる、[8]に記載のパネル。
[13][1]に記載のディスプレイパネルの製造方法であって、
a)表面が切り取られたエリアを有するニップローラーを与えて、ディスプレイパネルのための意図されたパターンの正または負の像であるパターンを形成する工程;
b)エンボス加工性組成物をニップローラーの表面上にある基材層に被覆する工程;および
c)雄型をエンボス加工性組成物に適用する工程
を含む、方法。
[14]切り取られたエリアは異なった深さを有する、[13]に記載の方法。
[15]前記基材層を電極層へ取り付ける、[13]に記載の方法。
[16][1]に記載のディスプレイパネルの製造方法であって、
a)マイクロセルを与える工程;
b)予備決定エリアにおけるマイクロセルを溶媒中の化学組成物で充填する工程;
c)溶媒を除去する工程;および
d)任意に、溶媒除去後に化学組成物を硬化する工程
を含む、方法。
[17]溶媒は、メチルエチルケトン、アセトンまたはイソプロピルアルコールである、[16]に記載の方法。
[18]マイクロセルを、化学組成物の異なった濃度で充填する、[16]に記載の方法。
[19]濃度は、0.01重量%〜90重量%の範囲である、[18]に記載の方法。
[20]濃度は、0.01重量%〜50重量%の範囲である、[18]に記載の方法。
[21]化学組成物は、マイクロセルを形成する組成物と同一ではない、[16]に記載の方法。
[22]化学組成物は、マイクロセルを形成する組成物と同一である、[16]に記載の方法。
Claims (7)
- 電気泳動流体で充満されたマイクロセルを含むディスプレイパネルの製造方法であって、
ここに、各マイクロセルは底部を有し、該底部の内部表面は、電気泳動流体に接触し、前記ディスプレイパネルは、第1エリアおよび第2エリアを有し、第1エリア中のマイクロセルは実質的に同じ底部厚みを有し、第2エリア中のマイクロセルは第1エリア中のマイクロセルより厚い底部を有し、
a)表面が切り取られたエリアを有するニップローラーを与えて、ディスプレイパネルのための意図されたパターンの正または負の像であるパターンを形成する工程;
b)エンボス加工性組成物をニップローラーの表面上にある基材層に被覆する工程;および
c)雄型をエンボス加工性組成物に適用する工程
を含む、方法。 - 切り取られたエリアは異なった深さを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 電気泳動流体で充満されたマイクロセルを含むディスプレイパネルの製造方法であって、
ここに、各マイクロセルは底部を有し、該底部の内部表面は、電気泳動流体に接触し、前記ディスプレイパネルは、第1エリアおよび第2エリアを有し、第1エリア中のマイクロセルは実質的に同じ底部厚みを有し、第2エリア中のマイクロセルは第1エリア中のマイクロセルより厚い底部を有し、

c)溶媒を除去する工程;および
d)任意に、溶媒除去後に化学組成物を硬化する工程

- マイクロセルを、化学組成物の異なった濃度で充填する、請求項3に記載の方法。
