Description

活性物質は、包接錯体の形態で変性シクロデキストリン(I)のホスト分子内のゲスト分子として存在している、燃料又は潤滑剤配合物中において用いるための添加剤組成物が提供される。
(i)組成物又は配合物中における活性物質の溶解性を変化(特に増加)させること;
(ii)組成物又は配合物中における活性物質の活性を変化(特に、増加、或いはその特質を変化)させること;
(iii)組成物又は配合物中における活性物質の安定性を変化(特に増加)させること;
(iv)組成物又は配合物中における活性物質の揮発性を変化(特に減少)させること;及び
(v)組成物又は配合物中においてそれが曝露される可能性がある外部影響、例えば熱、光、酸素、或いは組成物又は配合物中に存在する他の種から活性物質を少なくとも部分的に保護すること;
の1以上のための、添加剤組成物或いは燃料又は潤滑剤配合物中における、活性物質と組み合わせた上記の式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンの使用を提供する。
これは例えば、50〜4,000ppmw又は100〜2,000ppmwの濃度で燃料又は潤滑剤配合物中において用いることができる。
本発明にしたがって、混練法を用いて式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンを酸化防止剤のBHT(ブチル化ヒドロキシトルエン)とブレンドすることによって、固体添加剤組成物を調製した。この組成物は、UV分光光度測定法によって測定して6.5%w/wのBHT濃度を有していた。これは、Cyclolab R&D Laboratory(ハンガリー)から供給された。
別のガソリンベース燃料のBF2を用いて実施例1を繰り返した。BF2はBF1と同一であるが、420ppmwの処理率の洗浄剤添加剤パッケージ(BASFから)を含んでいた。添加剤パッケージは、PIB(ポリイソブテニル)アミン洗浄剤を含んでいた。
別のガソリンベース燃料のBF3を用いて実施例1を繰り返した。BF3は、「E10」燃料として知られる、90%v/vのBF1及び10%v/vのエタノールを含むブレンドであった。
商業的に入手できる超低イオウディーゼルベース燃料のBF4を用いて実施例1を繰り返した。ベース燃料はShell Group of companiesから供給され、ヨーロッパディーゼル燃料仕様EN−590に適合していた。これは、洗浄剤、酸化防止剤、又は点火向上添加剤、或いは脂肪酸メチルエステルのような酸素化物或いは2−エチルヘキシルニトレート(2−EHN)を含んでいなかった。その特性を下表5に要約する。
この実施例は、変性シクロデキストリンホスト分子からの封入活性物質の温度依存性の放出、及びしたがって活性物質の放出を標的化するためにシクロデキストリンを用いる可能性を示す。
本発明にしたがって、混練法を用いて式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンを公知のセタン価向上添加剤のジ−t−ブチルペルオキシド(DTBP)とブレンドすることによって、固体添加剤組成物を調製した。この組成物は、ガスクロマトグラフィーによって測定して3.5%w/wのDTBP濃度を有していた。
DTBPに代えて他の公知の助燃剤のカルバゾールを用いて実施例6を繰り返した。カルバゾールはVWRから供給された。これを変性シクロデキストリンとブレンドして、U−可視分光法によって測定して7.4%w/wのカルバゾール濃度を有する固体形態の添加剤組成物を与えた。カルバゾール−シクロデキストリン錯体はCyclolab R&D Laboratory(ハンガリー)から供給された。
DTBPに代えてN−メチルアニリン(NMA)を用いて実施例6を繰り返した。NMAは、ガソリン燃料配合物におけるオクタン価上昇剤として用いられており、したがってセタン価抑制剤として作用することが公知である。NMAはVWRから供給された。これを変性シクロデキストリンとブレンドして、UV−可視分光法によって測定して7.2%w/wのNMA濃度を有する固体形態の添加剤組成物を与えた。NMA−シクロデキストリン錯体はCyclolab R&D Laboratory(ハンガリー)から供給された。
実施例6〜8からの結果は、変性シクロデキストリン単独はディーゼルベース燃料のセタン価に対して比較的小さい効果しか有しないことを示す。
この実施例は、変性シクロデキストリンホスト分子からの封入されたセタン価改善剤の温度依存性の放出、及びしたがってセタン価改善剤の放出を標的化するためにシクロデキストリンを使用する可能性を示す。
BHTをヘプタキス(2,3,6−トリ−O−メチル)−β−シクロデキストリンと共に含む実施例1の添加剤組成物を、(実施例6において用いた)ディーゼルベース燃料のBF5中で試験した。添加剤組成物を一定範囲のブレンド比でベース燃料中に混合し、固体が完全に溶解するまで混合物を撹拌することによって、燃料配合物を調製した。
本発明にしたがって、混練法を用いてヘプタキス(2,3,6−トリ−O−メチル)−β−シクロデキストリン(TRIMEB)を公知のセタン価向上添加剤のEHNとブレンドすることによって、固体添加剤組成物を調製した。この組成物は、ガスクロマトグラフィーによって測定して9〜10%w/wのEHN濃度を有していた。これは、Cyclolab R&D Laboratory(ハンガリー)から供給された。
式(I)の3種類の変性シクロデキストリン、及び比較のために未変性のシクロデキストリンを試験して、ガソリン及びディーゼル燃料及び潤滑剤中におけるそれらの溶解性及び安定性を評価した。
更に3種類の式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンを、ガソリン及びディーゼル燃料中における溶解性に関して試験した。
E10、E25、E50、及びE100ガソリン燃料中に溶解した1,000ppmwのTRIMEBを含む配合物を、約20℃、−2℃、及び−20℃において6ヶ月間貯蔵した。全ての溶液は、最も低い温度においても6ヶ月の貯蔵期間にわたって清澄なままであった。PIBアミン洗浄添加剤を含むE0ガソリン燃料、及び一旦室温に戻したディーゼルベース燃料においても、同様の結果が観察された。
Claims (15)
- 燃料又は潤滑剤配合物中において用いるための添加剤組成物であって、
(i)活性物質、及び(ii)式I:
の変性シクロデキストリンを含み;
該活性物質が、包接錯体の形態で変性シクロデキストリン(I)のホスト分子内のゲスト分子として存在している組成物。 - 請求項1に記載の添加剤組成物であって、式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンにおいて、基R1、R2、及びR3 が、独立して、水素及び非置換C1〜C12アルキル基から選択される組成物。
- 請求項2に記載の添加剤組成物であって、R1、R2、及びR3の少なくとも2つが、独立して非置換C1〜C12アルキル基から選択される組成物。
- 請求項3に記載の添加剤組成物であって、基R1、R2、及びR3の2つが、独立して非置換C2〜C8アルキル基から選択される組成物。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の添加剤組成物であって、式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンにおいて、整数nが6〜8、特に7である組成物。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の添加剤組成物であって、該活性物質が酸化防止剤である組成物。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の添加剤組成物であって、該活性物質及び該変性シクロデキストリン(I)が、添加剤組成物を所定の値より高いか又は低い温度及び/又は所定の値より高いか又は低い圧力にかけた際に、及び/又は他の種に曝露した際に、活性物質がシクロデキストリン包接錯体から放出されるようなものである組成物。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれかにおいて規定される式(I)の変性シクロデキストリン、及び燃料又は潤滑剤配合物中において用いるのに好適な1種類以上のキャリアを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の添加剤組成物において用いるためのプレミックス。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の添加剤組成物又は請求項8に記載のプレミックスを含む燃料又は潤滑剤配合物。
- 請求項9に記載の配合物であって、ガソリン又はディーゼル燃料配合物である配合物。
- 添加剤組成物或いは燃料又は潤滑剤配合物中における活性物質のためのビヒクルとしての、請求項1〜7のいずれかにおいて規定される式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンの使用。
- 請求項11に記載の使用であって、該変性シクロデキストリン(I)を、次の目的:
(i)組成物又は配合物中における活性物質の溶解性を変化させること;
(ii)組成物又は配合物中における活性物質の活性を変化させること;
(iii)組成物又は配合物中における活性物質の安定性を変化させること;
(iv)組成物又は配合物中における活性物質の揮発性を変化させること;
(v)組成物又は配合物中においてそれが曝される可能性がある外的影響から活性物質を少なくとも部分的に保護すること;
(vi)組成物又は配合物内或いはそれからの活性物質の送達を制御すること;
(vii)組成物又は配合物中に存在する添加剤の濃度を減少させること;及び
(viii)組成物又は配合物の酸化安定性を増加させること;
の1以上のための活性物質と組み合わせて用いる使用。 - 請求項12に記載の使用であって、該添加剤組成物或いは該燃料又は潤滑剤配合物を燃料又は潤滑剤を消費するシステム中に導入し、次に該組成物又は該配合物を、該システム内において、該変性シクロデキストリン(I)と共に形成される該包接錯体からの該活性物質の少なくとも部分的な放出を誘発する条件に曝露することを含む使用。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれかにおいて規定される式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンを含む燃料又は潤滑剤配合物。
- 燃料又は潤滑剤配合物中における酸化防止剤としての、請求項1〜6のいずれかにおいて規定される式(I)の変性シクロデキストリンの使用。
