ma2として表される。(n,m)はカイラル指数と呼ばれ、n=mのときにはアームチェア型チューブ、m=0のときにはジグザグ型チューブ、それ以外の場合にはカイラル型チューブと呼ばれる。電気伝導を担うイオンがカーボンナノチューブの内側、または外側の近傍に存在することによるカーボンナノチューブの体積変化の挙動は、カーボンナノチューブの構造を示すカイラル指数と関連している。

たとえば、触針先端径を2μm、測定長を4.8mm、カットオフ値を0.8mmという条件で測定すればよい。
む集電体3の表面に、Si及びSnの少なくともいずれかを含む物質の原料粉末と、カーボンナノチューブとを含む活物質層前駆体を形成する。Si及びSnの少なくともいずれかを含む物質の原料粉末は、結晶質、非晶質のいずれでもよく、SiまたはSnの単体や、SiおよびSnの少なくともいずれかとO、N、C、Pなどを含む化合物、SiおよびSnの少なくともいずれかと、Li、Mn、Fe、Co、Ni、Cu、V、Ce、Ag、Sb、In、La、Ge、Cd、TiおよびZnからなる金属群のうち少なくともいずれか1種との合金などのほか、熱処理によりSiに変化し得るシリコン樹脂や、SiまたはSnを含有する有機化合物などの材料が挙げられる。
炭素質材料となる材料を分散し、介在層形成用の塗液として用いればよい。このような介在層形成用塗液を用いて、集電体3の表面に周知の方法で塗工し、必要に応じて乾燥することで、介在層前駆体被膜を形成する。その後、形成した介在層前駆体被膜上に、上述のような方法で活物質層前駆体を形成し、介在層前駆体被膜および活物質層前駆体を形成した集電体3を、介在層前駆体被膜や活物質前駆体中に含まれる結着材や造孔剤の処理条件に応じた雰囲気、温度で熱処理すればよい。

Claims (4)
- 正極と、非水電解質と、負極とを備えるナトリウム二次電池またはマグネシウム二次電池であって、
前記負極が、活物質の粒子とカーボンナノチューブとを含む活物質層と、導電性材料を含む集電体とを備え、
前記活物質がSi及びSnの少なくともいずれかを含む物質であるとともに、
前記カーボンナノチューブは、該カーボンナノチューブの内側、および外側の近傍にNaおよびMgのうち少なくともいずれかのイオンが存在することにより、体積収縮するものであることを特徴とする二次電池。 - 活物質の粒子とカーボンナノチューブとを含む活物質層と、導電性材料を含む集電体とを備えるナトリウム二次電池用負極またはマグネシウム二次電池用負極であって、
前記活物質がSi及びSnの少なくともいずれかを含む物質であるとともに、
前記カーボンナノチューブが、7〜10のカイラル指数を有するジグザグ型のカーボンナノチューブであることを特徴とする二次電池用負極。 - 活物質の粒子とカーボンナノチューブとを含む活物質層と、導電性材料を含む集電体とを備えるナトリウム二次電池用負極またはマグネシウム二次電池用負極であって、
前記活物質がSi及びSnの少なくともいずれかを含む物質であるとともに、
前記カーボンナノチューブが、5〜9のカイラル指数を有するアームチェア型のカーボンナノチューブであることを特徴とする二次電池用負極。 - 正極と、非水電解質と、負極とを備えるナトリウム二次電池またはマグネシウム二次電池であって、
前記負極が、請求項2または3に記載の二次電池用負極であることを特徴とする二次電池。
