Description
本願は、「Male bayonet connector」と題する2009年12月23日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/289,545号(この出願はPCT規則20.6条の目的で参照によりその全体が本明細書に援用される)に対する優先権を主張する。
Claims (14)
- 管の部分同士を接続する雄型バヨネットコネクターであって、
第1の遠位端部分と第1の近位端部分とを含むとともに、第1の内腔と、前記第1の遠位端部分の近位の隣接する第1の環状チャネルとを画定している第1のシャフトを備え、
前記第1のシャフトの前記第1の近位端部分は、第1の管の部分と係合するように構成されており、前記第1のシャフトの前記第1の遠位端部分は、雌型受け入れ構造体に挿入される部分のうち遠位端側に形成されており、なおかつ前記第1の遠位端部分は、前記雌型受け入れ構造体の第1の内面と係合して流体密シールを形成するように構成されている第1のシール面を有し、
前記第1の環状チャネルは第1の遠位側壁によって画定されており、
前記第1のシール面は、前記第1の遠位側壁から前記第1の遠位端部分の前記遠位端まで形成され、なおかつ前記第1の内面に設けられたシール部材によって覆われるように形成されており、
前記第1の遠位端部分は、前記第1のシール面において前記シール部材を介して前記第1の内面と係合して流体密シールを形成するように構成されており、
前記第1のシール面の長さ対前記第1の遠位側壁と前記雌型受け入れ構造体に挿入される部分の前記遠位端とは反対側の端部との間の距離の比は、該雄型バヨネットコネクターに加わる最大10ポンドの側面荷重力が前記第1のシール面と前記雌型受け入れ構造体の前記第1の内面との間の前記流体密シールを破断しないようなものである、雄型バヨネットコネクター。 - 前記第1の遠位側壁は、前記第1の内腔の軸に対して実質的に垂直な向きである面を画定している、請求項1に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記第1の遠位側壁は、前記雌型受け入れ構造体内の第1のラッチ構造部が前記第1の環状チャネルと係合しているときに前記雌型受け入れ構造体からの前記雄型バヨネットコネクターの抜去を防止するように、前記第1のラッチ構造部と結合する面を画定している、請求項1に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記第1のシャフトの少なくとも一部の周りに延びる把持部を備え、該把持部は、前記第1のシャフトの周りにフランジを画定するように前記第1のシャフトから半径方向に離れて延びている、請求項1に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記フランジは外側縁を画定しており、前記把持部は、前記フランジの前記外側縁に沿って、該把持部の把持を容易にする複数の窪みを含む、請求項4に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記第1のシール面の長さ対前記第1の遠位側壁と前記雌型受け入れ構造体に挿入される部分の前記遠位端とは反対側の端部との間の距離の比は0.889〜1.105である、請求項1に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記第1の環状チャネルは、前記第1の遠位側壁と対向する第1の斜角付き縁を更に画定している、請求項1に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記第1の斜角付き縁の面が、前記第1の内腔の軸に対してほぼ45度である角度を画定している、請求項7に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記把持部は、前記雌型受け入れ構造体に挿入される部分の前記遠位端とは反対側の端部に設けられ、前記雌型受け入れ構造体内への前記第1のシャフトの更なる挿入を防止するように位置決めされている、請求項4に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記雄型バヨネットコネクターは、第2の遠位端部分と第2の近位端部分とを有するとともに、第2の内腔と、前記第2の遠位端部分の近位の隣接する第2の環状チャネルとを更に画定している第2のシャフトと、を更に備え、
前記第2のシャフトの前記第2の近位端部分は、第2の管の部分と係合するように構成されており、前記第2のシャフトの前記第2の遠位端部分は、対応する雌型受け入れ構造体に挿入される部分のうち遠位端側に形成されており、なおかつ前記第2の遠位端部分は、前記対応する雌型受け入れ構造体の第2の内面と係合して流体密シールを形成するように構成されている第2のシール面を有し、
前記第2の環状チャネルは第2の遠位側壁によって画定されており、
前記第2のシール面は、前記第2の遠位側壁から前記第2の遠位端部分の前記遠位端まで形成され、なおかつ前記第2の内面に設けられたシール部材によって覆われるように形成されており、
前記第2の遠位端部分は、前記第2のシール面において前記シール部材を介して前記第2の内面と係合して流体密シールを形成するように構成されており、
前記第2のシール面の長さ対前記第2の遠位側壁と前記雌型受け入れ構造体に挿入される部分の前記遠位端とは反対側の端部との間の距離の比は、前記雄型バヨネットコネクターに加わる最大10ポンドの側面荷重力が前記第2のシール面と前記雌型受け入れ構造体の前記第2の内面との間の前記流体密シールを破断しないようなものである、請求項1に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。 - 前記第1のシャフトの少なくとも一部の周りに延びる把持部を備え、該把持部は前記第1のシャフトと第2のシャフトとを接続する、請求項10に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記把持部は、前記第1のシャフトの周りに第1のフランジを画定するように前記第1のシャフトから半径方向に離れて、かつ前記第2のシャフトの周りに第2のフランジを画定するように前記第2のシャフトから半径方向に離れて延びており、前記第1のフランジと前記第2のフランジとは該第1のフランジと該第2のフランジとの間のウェブ部分によって接続されている、請求項11に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記ウェブ部分は前記第1のフランジと前記第2のフランジとの間に凹状領域を画定している、請求項12に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
- 前記第1の内腔の第1の中心軸と前記第2の内腔の第2の中心軸との間の距離は、前記第1の遠位側壁と前記雌型受け入れ構造体に挿入される部分の前記遠位端とは反対側の端部との間の距離の1.695倍〜2.035倍である、請求項10に記載の雄型バヨネットコネクター。
