Description
閉状態におけるデバイスの残余の透過およびその切換特性を変化させることができるのが、尚さらに所望される。
− 第1の偏光子
− 少なくとも1種の液晶化合物および少なくとも1種のポリマーを含み、ここでポリマーが1つまたは2つ以上のメソゲン性基を含む少なくとも1つの繰り返し単位を含む、偏光に影響する切換層、ならびに
− 第2の偏光子
を含み、
ここで切換層が2つの偏光子の間に配置されている、
前記切換素子に関する。
本出願において、2つの状態の間の光透過の差異は、デバイスの切換範囲として知られている。
切換素子を、特に好ましくは建物の側壁または天井における構造的開放部に設置する。
しかしながら、原則的に、外側から実質的に密封される区画中のすべてのタイプの開放部は、それらが光透過を有する限り切換素子の設置に適している。
このタイプの適用を、既存の配置を組み込むことにより、または完全な再設置により行うことができる。
好ましい態様において、切換素子を使用して、光透過に温度の関数として影響し、特に好ましくは太陽から室内に進出する光透過に影響する。
本発明の使用の場合において、上に述べ、また以下の部分において示す切換素子の好ましい態様が、同様に好ましい。
本発明において、基板層は、とりわけ高分子材料、金属酸化物、例えばITO、ガラスまたは金属からなり得る。それらは、好ましくはガラスまたはITOまたは高分子材料からなる。
切換層の状態が切換素子が開状態(切換状態I)にあるか閉状態(切換状態II)にあるかを決定することは、上に示した。
異なる液晶化合物の混合物は、好ましくは切換層中に存在する。少なくとも5種および多くとも15種の異なる液晶化合物が、特に好ましくは切換層中に存在する。
R11、R12は、各出現において同一にまたは異なって、F、Cl、CN、NCS、SCN、R13−O−CO−、R13−CO−O−または1〜10個のC原子を有するアルキルもしくはアルコキシ基または2〜10個のC原子を有するアルケニルもしくはアルケニルオキシ基を表し、ここで前述の基中の1個または2個以上の水素原子はFまたはClによって置き換えられていてもよく、および1つまたは2つ以上のCH2基はOまたはSによって置き換えられていてもよく;ならびに
Xは、各出現において同一にまたは異なって、F、Cl、CNまたは1〜10個のC原子を有するアルキル、アルコキシもしくはアルキルチオ基から選択され、ここで前述の基中の1個または2個以上の水素原子は、FまたはClによって置き換えられていてもよく、およびここで前述の基中の1つまたは2つ以上のCH2基は、OまたはSによって置き換えられていてもよく;ならびに
dは、0、1、2、3、4、5または6、好ましくは0、1、2または3、特に好ましくは1、2または3の値を採る。
本発明において、切換層が液晶化合物およびポリマーに加えて1種または2種以上のキラルなドーパントを含むのが、好ましい。
これらの化合物および比較的少量において存在する他のコンポーネントの濃度を、液晶化合物およびポリマーの濃度を特定する際には無視する。
特に、二色性色素分子が液晶材料中にドープされているいわゆるゲスト/ホスト系は、本発明の好ましい態様を表さない。
本発明の切換素子の切換層のポリマーが形成される重合反応における少なくとも1種のモノマーは、1つまたは2つ以上のメソゲン性基を含むことが好ましい。
ポリマーの調製のための本質的にすべてのモノマーが1つまたは2つ以上のメソゲン性基を含むのが、特に好ましい。
好ましいのは、ポリマーを液晶化合物の存在下での少なくとも1種のモノマー化合物の重合反応によって調製する態様(in-situ法)である。
本発明において、混合物に、その後のプロセスステップにおいて重合反応を施す。
したがって、本発明はさらに、前述の混合物の重合反応に起因する混合物に関する。
本発明によって、したがって切換素子の特性をタイプAとBとの間で可変に調整することが可能になる。
例1:
混合物1、2、3および4を調製する。それらは各々LC混合物Aを含み、それは以下の組成を有する:
混合物2:LC混合物A+0.1%のS−811+1.8%のRM−D1(ジアクリレート)+18.2%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート)+0.2%のIrgacure 907。重合した状態。
混合物3:LC混合物A+0.1%のS−811+10%のRM−D1(ジアクリレート)+10%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート)。
混合物4:LC混合物A+0.1%のS−811+10%のRM−D1(ジアクリレート)+10%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート)+0.2%のIrgacure 907。重合した状態。
図1は、各場合において温度の関数としての、4種の混合物についての透過の変化を示す。
混合物1、2、3および4を調製し、重合させる(3分間硬化させる、360nmエッジフィルター、37mW/cm2)。
それらはすべて以下の基本混合物を含む:
59.7%のLC混合物A+5%のCGPC−3−3+5%のCPZG−3−N+0.1%のS−811+0.2%のIrgacure 651
15%のRM−M2(モノアクリレート、低デルタn)+15%のRM−D2(ジアクリレート、低デルタn)
さらに、混合物2は、以下のものを含む:
15%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート、高デルタn)+15%のRM−D2(ジアクリレート、低デルタn)
さらに、混合物3は、以下のものを含む:
15%のRM−M2(モノアクリレート、低デルタn)+15%のRM−D1(ジアクリレート、高デルタn)
さらに、混合物4は、以下のものを含む:
15%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート、高デルタn)+15%のRM−D1(ジアクリレート、高デルタn)
図2は、各場合において温度の関数としての、4種の混合物についての透過の変化を示す。
残余の透過が混合物1から混合物2を介して混合物3を介して混合物4に変化する際に増加することは、全く明白である。さらに、切換プロセスの感受性は、混合物1から混合物2を介して混合物3を介して混合物4に低下する。
10種の混合物を調製し、すべてはコンポーネントLC混合物A、CPZG−3−N、CGPC−3−3、Irgacure 651およびS−811を含む。さらに、モノマー化合物RM−M2およびRM−D1(上記を参照)は、比率1:1において増加する割合(4%〜40%)において存在する。
LC混合物A(89.7−x%)+CPZG−3−N(5%)+CGPC−3−3(5%)+Irgacure 651(0.2%)+S−811(0.1%)+x/2%のRM−M2+x/2%のRM−D1、ここで
x=混合物1について4%
x=混合物2について6%
x=混合物3について8%
x=混合物4について10%
x=混合物5について12%
x=混合物6について15%

混合物を本発明の切換素子中に導入し、ここでそれらは切換層を表す。TNセルの態様における切換層は、4ミクロンの層の厚さにおいて存在する。切換素子の偏光子は、交差した位置(90°)にある。
図3は、各場合において温度の関数としての混合物についての透過の変化を示す。
例2とは対照的に、非常に低い濃度の使用するモノマーを有する混合物をまた、ここに示す。これらの場合において、切換プロセスの非常に低い残余の透過および高い感受性を、達成することができる。
混合物1〜4を調製し、重合させる。
それらはすべて同一の基本混合物を含む:
LC混合物A(99.7−x%)、0.1%のS−811および0.2%のIrgacure 907。
x=10%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート):RM−D1(ジアクリレート)=10:1を含むモノマー
さらに、混合物2は、以下のものを含む:
x=20%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート):RM−D1(ジアクリレート)=10:1を含むモノマー
さらに、混合物3は、以下のものを含む:
x=10%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート):RM−D1(ジアクリレート)=1:1を含むモノマー
さらに、混合物4は、以下のものを含む:
x=20%のRM−M1(モノアクリレート):RM−D1(ジアクリレート)=1:1を含むモノマー
混合物は、再び均一な外観を有し、可視光線散乱を有しない。
切換プロセスの増加した残余の透過および低減された感受性が、両方の場合において使用したモノマーの量の増加に伴って生じることが、明らかになる(1と比較して混合物2および3と比較して4)。
残余の透過レベルは、したがって、実質的に切換プロセスの感受性とは独立して、ジアクリレート含量のモノマーの同一の合計濃度に伴う変化によって影響され得る。
Claims (12)
- 光透過の調節のための温度制御切換素子であって、以下のもの
− 第1の偏光子
− 少なくとも1種の液晶化合物および少なくとも1種のポリマーを含み、ここでポリマーが1つまたは2つ以上のメソゲン性基を含む少なくとも1つの繰り返し単位を含み、ポリマーはメソゲン性基を含む少なくとも1種のモノアクリレート化合物およびメソゲン性基を含む少なくとも1種のジアクリレート化合物を含む混合物から形成され、メソゲン性基を含むジアクリレート化合物は0.1より大きい複屈折Δnを有する、偏光に影響する切換層、ならびに
− 第2の偏光子
を含み、
ここで切換層が2つの偏光子の間に配置されている、
前記切換素子。 - 切換状態として、切換素子を通しての比較的高い光透過を有する切換状態および切換素子を通しての比較的低い光透過を有する切換状態を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の切換素子。
- 切換素子を通しての比較的高い光透過を有する切換状態が切換素子の比較的低い温度において存在し、比較的低い光透過を有する切換状態が切換素子の比較的高い温度において存在することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の切換素子。
- 比較的高い光透過を有する切換状態における切換層の状態がねじれネマチック状態であり、比較的低い光透過を有する切換状態における切換層の状態がアイソトロピック状態であることを特徴とする、請求項2または3に記載の切換素子。
- 建物または外部から密封される別の区画の構造的開放部において設置されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の切換素子。
- 少なくとも0.05m2の面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の切換素子。
- 形状においてフレキシブルであり、曲げることができることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の切換素子。
- ポリマーが多くとも30%の割合において切換層中に存在することを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の切換素子。
- ポリマーがUV光誘発重付加によって形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の切換素子。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の切換素子の、温度の関数として室内への光透過および/または熱流入に影響するための使用。
- 光透過が1000〜1500nmの範囲内の波長において切換素子によって影響される、請求項10に記載の使用。
- 少なくとも1種の液晶化合物、メソゲン性基を含む少なくとも1種のモノアクリレート化合物およびメソゲン性基を含む少なくとも1種のジアクリレート化合物を含む混合物であって、メソゲン性基を含むジアクリレート化合物は0.1より大きい複屈折Δnを有する混合物の、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の切換素子の製造のための使用。
