Claims (20)
- 単位セルがバスバーによって電気的に接続された状態でカートリッジに装着されている単位モジュールを含んでいる電池モジュールアセンブリであって、
積層界面に冷媒流路が形成されるように地面から垂直方向に積層された2つ以上の単位モジュールが締結されるとともに、冷媒流路を提供できるように互いに離隔した状態で側面方向に配列されている2つ以上のサブモジュール(sub−modules)と、
前記サブモジュールに締結されるベースプレート(base plate)と、
前記サブモジュールの側部に締結固定され、冷媒が流入できる1つ以上の冷媒流入口を含んでいる側部カバープレート(side cover plates)と、
前記サブモジュールの端部を互いに固定し、前記冷媒流路に連通する冷媒排出口が形成されているブラケット(bracket)と、
を含むことを特徴とする、電池モジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記単位セルは、板状型電池セルであるか、または電極端子が露出した状態で2つ以上の板状型電池セルがセルカバーに装着されている電池セルアセンブリであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記板状型電池セルは、角形二次電池またはパウチ型二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記パウチ型二次電池は、樹脂層と金属層を含むラミネートシートに電極組立体が密封されている構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記セルカバーは、電極端子部位を除いて電池セルの外面を覆うように互いに結合される一対の外装部材であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記単位モジュールにおける単位セルは並列接続されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記単位セルは、電極端子が対面するようにカートリッジ上に装着されており、前記カートリッジに装着されているバスバーによって電極端子が並列に接続されていることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記カートリッジの両側面には、締結溝を備えた突出部が形成されており、前記締結溝を貫通する締結部材によってカートリッジが互いに結合されてサブモジュールを形成していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記サブモジュールにおける単位モジュールは直列接続されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記バスバーは、電極端子が結合されている面の一側端部が上向き又は下向きに折れ曲がっており、前記折れ曲がった一側端部と直列接続部材が結合されて、隣接する単位モジュールと直列接続をなしていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記側部カバープレートは、
前記サブモジュールの側部を覆う本体部;
前記本体部の両端に、サブモジュールを覆う形態で折れ曲がって延びた構造で形成されており、サブモジュールと締結固定される固定部;及び
前記本体部の一側端部に形成された取っ手;
を含んでおり、前記本体部には流入口が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記流入口は、平面視で円、楕円、多角形、またはスリット(slit)状であることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記流入口は、2つ以上の第1流入口を含む第1流入口群、及び2つ以上の第2流入口を含む第2流入口群を含み、前記第1流入口群は、冷媒が電池モジュールアセンブリに流入する方向を基準として電池モジュールアセンブリの前面方向に位置し、前記第2流入口群は、電池モジュールアセンブリの後面方向に位置することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記第2流入口の面積は、第1流入口の面積対比110〜300%さらに大きいことを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記ブラケットは、
板状型本体部、固定部、及び前記板状型本体部の中央に貫通されて形成されている排出口を含んでおり、
前記板状型本体部は、サブモジュールの後面の凹凸構造と対応する形状の凹凸部が両端に形成されており、
前記固定部には、サブモジュールの後面に締結固定され得る締結溝が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記サブモジュール間の冷媒流路は、平面視でブラケットの冷媒排出口と一直線上に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記電池モジュールアセンブリの冷媒排出口の位置に送風機(fan)又は排出ダクト(duct)が装着されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。
- 前記電池モジュールアセンブリは、
前記サブモジュールの上面に搭載され、サブモジュール及び側部カバープレートと締結結合される上部カバープレート(upper cover plate);及び
冷媒の流入方向を基準として前記サブモジュールの前面に装着され、サブモジュール、ベースプレート及び側部カバープレートに締結結合される前面カバープレート(front cover plate);
をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリ。 - 請求項1に記載の電池モジュールアセンブリを電源として含むことを特徴とする、デバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、電力貯蔵装置、非常用電源装置、電算室電源装置、携帯用電源装置、医療設備電源装置、消火設備電源装置、警報設備電源装置、または避難設備電源装置であることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載のデバイス。
