Claims (8)
- 正極と負極との間にセパレータを介装して作製された電極群を収納する容器と、
前記容器の開口部に取付けられ、複数の部材を含む封口体とを備え、
前記複数の部材のうち少なくとも1つの部材は、少なくとも一つのガス排気孔が形成され、
前記容器の開口部の面積に対する前記ガス排気孔の面積の比が3.0×10-5以上、9.1×10-3以下であり、
前記ガス排気孔を含む部材は、異常時に発生する高温ガスより融点が低い部材で形成されている、密閉型電池。 - 前記封口体は、キャップ、及びフィルタを備え、
前記キャップは、前記容器とともに前記密閉型電池の外装を構成し、
前記フィルタは、前記正極と正極リードを介して接合され、
前記ガス排気孔は、前記キャップもしくは前記フィルタに形成されている、請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。 - 前記キャップもしくは前記フィルタは、複数の前記ガス排気孔を有する、請求項2に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記ガス排気孔を有する前記キャップもしくは前記フィルタはアルミニウムで形成されている、請求項2または3に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記容器の底部に電池内の圧力が所定値に達したときに破断する安全弁をさらに備え、
前記ガス排気孔を有する部材が溶融しなかった場合に前記安全弁が破断する、請求項1から4の何れかに記載の密閉型電池。 - 前記所定の値とは前記安全弁以外の部分における前記容器の耐圧値もしくは前記封口体の耐圧値よりも低い値である、請求項5に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記所定の値とは2〜8MPaの間である、請求項6に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記複数の部材のうち前記ガス排気孔が形成されていない部材は、孔を有し、
前記孔の開口面積は、前記ガス排気孔の開口面積よりも大きい、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の密閉型電池。
