Claims (19)
- 固体イメージング材料から三次元物体を製造するための固体イメージング装置において、
固体イメージング材料の供給源を含むカートリッジ、
前記カートリッジから分配される固体イメージング材料を保持するトレイ、
前記トレイ上に分配された固体イメージング材料を塗布するための塗布バー、
前記固体イメージング装置内でx軸に沿って前記塗布バーを選択的に動かすための該塗布バーに連結された可動部分、および
前記トレイ内の固体イメージング材料の層に化学線を投射して、該固体イメージング材料の層を選択的に硬化させるイメージャ、
を備え、
前記塗布バーが、
前記固体イメージング装置内のy軸に沿って概して延在する第1の掻取りエッジ、
前記固体イメージング装置内のy軸に沿って概して延在する第2の層形成エッジ、および
前記塗布バーを前記可動部分に連結するように適合された連結部分であって、前記塗布バーを前記可動部分に連結するための連結位置を少なくとも2つ画成する連結部分、
を備え、
第1の連結位置が前記第1の掻取りエッジを前記塗布バーの最低の部分にし、第2の連結位置が前記第2の層形成エッジを該塗布バーの最低の部分にする、固体イメージング装置。 - 前記第1の掻取りエッジがドクターブレードエッジを画成する、請求項1記載の固体イメージング装置。
- 前記第2の層形成エッジが、該第2の層形成エッジに対して略垂直に延在する複数のタブを含む、請求項1記載の固体イメージング装置。
- 前記塗布バーが前記第2の連結位置にあるときに、前記複数のタブが、該塗布バーの前縁に位置付けられている、請求項3記載の固体イメージング装置。
- 前記第2の連結位置にある前記塗布バーの後縁が、概して前記y軸に沿って延在する前記第2の層形成エッジの部分と、該第2の層形成エッジに略垂直に延在する前記複数のタブの底との間の間隙を画成する、請求項4記載の固体イメージング装置。
- 前記複数のタブが、z軸に沿って見たときに、前記塗布バーの動作中に該タブが接触する固体イメージング材料における乱れを低減するように適合された形状を画成する、請求項5記載の固体イメージング装置。
- 前記連結部分が、前記y軸に沿って延在する、他方に対してある角度をなす2つの表面を含む楔形スロットを画成する、請求項1記載の固体イメージング装置。
- 固体イメージング装置を使用して固体イメージング材料から三次元物体を製造する方法において、
a) ある量の固体イメージング材料をトレイ内に供給する工程、
b) 第1の動作において塗布バーを動かして、前記トレイの底面から未硬化の固体イメージング材料を除去する工程、
c) 第2の動作において前記塗布バーを、前記第1の動作と概して反対の方向に動かして、前記トレイの底面上に固体イメージング材料の新たな層を塗布する工程、
d) 固体イメージング材料の前記新たな層と接触した、構築パッドおよび該構築パッドにより支持されている三次元物体の先に硬化した層の少なくとも一方を位置決めする工程、
e) 固体イメージング材料の前記新たな層を化学線の画像に曝露して、該新たな層の前記固体イメージング材料を選択的に硬化させる工程、および
f) 工程a〜eを繰り返して、前記三次元物体の追加の層を製造する工程、
を有してなる方法。 - 前記第2の動作で前記塗布バーを動かす前に、該塗布バーを第1の掻取り位置から第2の層形成位置に旋回させる工程をさらに含む、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記第1の動作で前記塗布バーを動かす前に、該塗布バーを前記第2の層形成位置から前記第1の掻取り位置に旋回させる工程をさらに含む、請求項9記載の方法。
- 前記第1の動作および前記第2の動作で前記塗布バーを移動させる工程が、該塗布バーの連結部分に連結された可動部分を動かす工程を含む、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記ある量の固体イメージング材料をトレイ内に供給する工程の前に、前記トレイ内の固体イメージング材料の量を測定する工程をさらに含む、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記トレイ内の固体イメージング材料の量を測定する工程が、該トレイの底面を通じて光信号を送信して、該トレイ内の固体イメージング材料の量を測定する工程を含む、請求項12記載の方法。
- 前記第1の動作において前記塗布バーを動かす工程および前記第2の動作において該塗布バーを動かす工程の少なくとも一方が、該塗布バーに力を印加して、前記トレイの底面に該塗布バーを押し付ける工程を含む、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記第2の動作において前記塗布バーを動かす工程の前に、ある量の固体イメージング材料が該塗布バーの少なくとも一部の上に流されて、該第2の動作中に該塗布バーの前縁の前に固体イメージング材料を供給する、請求項8記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの可動部分を中に有する固体イメージング装置に使用するための塗布バーにおいて、
前記固体イメージング装置内で概してy軸に沿って延在する第1の掻取りエッジ、
該固体イメージング装置内で概して前記y軸に沿って延在する第2の層形成エッジ、および
前記塗布バーを前記可動部分と連結するように適合された接続部分であって、少なくとも2つの連結位置を画成する接続部分、
を備え、
第1の連結位置が前記第1の掻取りエッジを前記塗布バーの最低の部分にし、第2の連結位置が前記第2の層形成エッジを該塗布バーの最低の部分にし、前記第2の層形成エッジが、該第2の層形成エッジに対して略垂直に延在する複数のタブを含む、
ことを特徴とする塗布バー。 - 前記第1の掻取りエッジがドクターブレードエッジを画成する、請求項16記載の塗布バー。
- 前記塗布バーが前記第2の連結位置にあるときに、前記複数のタブが、該塗布バーの前縁に位置付けられている、請求項16記載の塗布バー。
- 前記接続部分が、前記y軸に沿って延在する、他方に対してある角度をなす2つの表面を含む楔形スロットを画成する、請求項16記載の塗布バー。
