Description
図1、図2、図3において、自動車の車体1の後部には送風機2を設け、該送風機2のエアー噴出口3は車体1の後方を向いている。噴出口3はほぼ車体1の巾に近いライン状を形成している。図1、図2、図3において、送風機2の吸い込み口4は車体1の側面である。エアーの噴出し速度は走行速度以上であることが望ましい。噴出口3の厚さ(巾と直角な方向の断面寸法)は車高の1%以上であることが望ましい。該噴出口3から噴出するエアーは膜状エアー層Jを形成する。矢印A及びA’は車体1の上面を流れる気流を示し、矢印B及びB’は車体の下部及び側面からの気流を示すものである。なお、噴出口3の高さ方向の位置は車体1の高さの半分より上であることが望ましい。これより低いと車体1の上面を流れる気流を噴出口3からでる膜状エアー層Jが引き込むことによって生じる揚力が車体を浮き上がらせる力を発生し走行安定性に支障をきたす可能性がある。

Claims (1)
- 自動車の車体の後部に後方を向けた車体の巾に近い長さのライン状の噴出口を有する送風機を設け、該送風機の噴出口から車速以上の速度でエアーを噴出することで膜状エアー層を形成する如く構成し、該送風機作動回路にはワイパーの作動回路が経由され、ワイパーの作動回路がONの時、送風機の作動回路はOFFとなるごとく構成されていることを特徴とする自動車用の空気抵抗低減装置。
